      Id take that rather then a 1 pound hunk of ugly steel that will rust with exposed springs

    The price, although subject to change, seems very reasonable. I’ve seen Boud that cost two times as much or more. This looks so solid and so good and I do really like Magpul products that it is on my list of upgrades to add to my AR 15.

    I bought one of these for my new Thompson Center LRR 6.5 rifle. The bipod loosens up constantly, no matter how hard I tighten the knurl nut. Cool bipod but not for the money that they want for these.

    Simply perfectly matching a Magpul firearm (FDE also nice looking and good matching)...

    Everybody heard that snap, the deer, the pig, everyone.

      Haley Cody I was thinking that a deer could hear that at 200. It’s pretty loud. I don’t use a bipod though, I just use two knitting needles and some duct tape.

      I mean you could always deploy your bipod and be ready for when the deer shows up. I wouldn't imagine you'd want to wait to chamber a round either.

    Personally not a fan of this one, unfortunately. No matter how hard you tighten it down, you get a LOT of yaw (the roll is not bad, but the bipod wants to yaw a lot to the left and right, and the two legs are often not deterrence to the gun after only a few shots with a TAC A1.). I found the legs to also be quite wobblyin the forwards and backwards direction (along the axis the gun is pointing) and while they do stop if you are pushing against or pulling on it, there is still noticeable play which makes shooting less accurate and not comfortable or confidence inspiring.
    Think I am going to go back to an MLOK Harris bipod.

    Does the 17 s come with screws for the rail grabber?

  • @fog8969

    Is there a way to lock the legs partially down? Or any tricks that anyone has come up with to rig it that way? Recently I was using a Magul bipod on an AR, and I needed height from the bipod, but less than full height.

      Can't load it, it's bends like a spring and make it impossible to hold for a steady shot. Might be ok for bench rest guys or people who don't load their bipod, but it's literally like shooting off of a spring.

    Cool...I prefer Harris but do like the fact that it’s plastic to save some weight. Lugging a varmint gun to a shooting spot gets heavy, so I can see saving a pound or so switching to a setup like this.

    Hope it's about 10x better than it looks.
    The idea of making a bipod at the Harris price point is 100% dump.
    79.00 retail, maybe but I still wouldnt pay even that.

    How does this mount to a swivel stud?

    • @SteelPineTree
      @SteelPineTree 5 років тому

      It requires a picatinny rail to swivel stud adapter. Mount the adapter ON your swivel stud. Now buy the picatinny mount version of the Magpul bipod. Done.

    Insane that plastic bipod is over $100

  • @Johnyrocket70
    @Johnyrocket70 5 років тому +11

    Most people won't even spend $100 on a combat proven Harris bipod let alone a $100 plastic bipod. Magpul is really screwing the consumers with their $1000 stocks & $100 bipods. Their profit margin is over the top. These things are not expensive to manufacture. The stock will fail for sure when you can get a real precision chassis for $450

      $100 for a solid gun accessory is reasonable these days. I tried to cheap out on a $30 bipod for my .22, and it fell apart in a handful of sessions. It was replaced with a Harris, as my dad still uses Harris bipods he bought 30 years ago. I'll gladly try the mag-pull if it's a 30 year tool.
