It appears to be designed to be a one-way assembly. The tension knob is 'captured', so removal would require taking the knob off which may cause damage to the item. Look for a throw-lever- option.
Short answer: I don't think so currently. Looking at the current magpul website offerings, I think the closest feature set would be the 17S version, but that would require the user to provide their own 17S lever mount, and would require a rail-platform, instead of M-LOK. Hmm.
I had the same question- seems to me it should just pop off like a shoulder strap attachment. Maybe it wouldn't be as stable/ secure? we can't be the only ones thinking this...
Could also be a combination of 'ease ability to manufacture', 'reduce number of components', 'intended retail price cap', 'controlled release of feature improvements' , etc.
Thank you for the guide brother
Just the video i needed. 👍
Can you unscrew the bipod but leave the mount? For easy and (hopefully) toollless removal / reinstall?

It still moves when I have it fully tightened. It still wants to yaw to the left.
Suggest RETURNING the product for exchange or refund! Should feel 'stiff/stable' after setting the tension knob.
Thanks for the review. Can you take the bipod off like quick detach and leave the M-lock mount on?
