- On a hot summer day in Oslo, the dead mysteriously awaken, and three families are thrown into chaos when their deceased loved ones come back to them. Who are they, and what do they want? A family is faced with the mother’s reawakening before they have even mourned her death after a car accident; an elderly woman gets the love of her life back the same day she has buried her; a grandfather rescues his grandchild from the gravesite in a desperate attempt to get his daughter out of her depression. Handling the Undead is a drama with elements of horror about three families, a story about grief and loss, but also about hope and understanding of what we can’t comprehend or control.

This looks incredibly different and sad. Let the Right One In by the author of this is one of my favorite books ever
Oh is it based on a book, is it good?
@@TommyDay-kq1jj i’ve never read the book in which this movie is based on but the author who wrote it is incredible
i still remember reading the book after seeing the film and being absolutely shocked at how much darker the book was with entire character traits being taken out of the film
If its anything like the book its one of the most unique zombie plots ive ever experienced. I am so very much looking forward to this film.
@@leleprtk oh okay😊😊
This hits different. Finally, the concept of 'zombie' is refreshing.
It's literally every "loved dead person comes back episode/nivel but there is something wrong" If you think this is refreshing you must have REALLY low standards for meida, like do you only watch McDonalds versions of Fast and Furious or something?
@@YolandaHalfAlmonde Hey, wait a minute. What he meant is this: shows like walking dead go through the first phase of zombie apocalypse too quickly, while it's the most interesting part, the first hours and days of it.
I watched today a couple of videos here on YT like "the scariest encounters caught on cam" 😂 And it's really creepy when someone just walks around your car in the dark slowly. Or just slowly comes at you. This is what zombies should be. Today they are just cannon fodder for protagonists to slash through.
A zombie movie without crazy action scenes is truly refreshing.
Let The Right One In is one of the best vampire movies ever made. So, I'm very excited about Handling The Undead. The fact that it is the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival says it all.
Sometimes, death is better.
Looks unique in a good way
Saw this during the Phoenix Film Festival, this movie is so surreal and makes you rethink the idea of death. I teared up when driving home, film really had me think. 10/10
Did they hurt that bunny for real?😥
Why?
don't get my hopes up like that
I saw this at Sundance. It is haunting
Beautiful trailer for what looks to be a pretty dreadful time. Can’t wait.
The Swedish Let The Right One In was really beautiful.
There's a common thread between that film and this one.
Embracing the darkness with beauty, and then it's not darkness but tenderness.
I wonder whether this is correlated to how in the Nordic countries, there's often very little Sunlight causing Seasonal Affective Disorder and depression to occur.
But the depression can morph into a melancholic beauty.
This got me excited!! It’s like a mind-boggle in the sense of being asked “would you care for your loved one even if they were dead and rotting?” Some would jump to say Yes, but this can hopefully show that it may be best to let those lay at rest and it’s okay to let go!
Nope. Severing that cerebral cortex stat
A sad nordic story with Renata Reinsve and Anders Danielsen Lie never fails... and oh boy, are there quite a few, and all of them devastatingly good
This really looks amazing.
Looks like a French show I watched back in 2012 called The Returned.
This looks fascinating! I hope it goes wide.
Película de dominós y al mundo 🌎 le encanta seguirlo...es increíble cómo inocentemente van tras porquería
YES
Another one from Neon that looks incredible, reminidng me of the French show Les Revenants.
Also that shot of the cast with the crosses at 01:45 makes my design side very happy.
You're at least 30 or over to know that movie line lol
Les revenants came to my mind too
This is Amazing. My dream is to be able to one day make a film this beautifully dark and emotionally powerful
Amazing Soundtrack...
Belíssimo!
Saw this at phoenix, quite unlike anything I’ve ever seen 🤔 it mixes death, love, empathy in the most unique way and is a must watch. It will stay with you for days, guaranteed 👍 make the time, you won’t regret it 😉 great filmmaking
Looks good. “What if”…….
I’m sure they will make an American version too like they did with his “Let The Right One In”. Both versions of that I liked.
Americans mess every version they remake, look at REC and martyrs, terrible remakes, and don't even get me started on oldboy
Let me in was surprisingly great but Matt Reeves is pretty good director
@@eradicatedpulse6896I didn’t like how he said he would adapt from the book instead of using the original movie, something which even the original movie director commented on.
Then he made a very similar remake while taking even less from the book.
@@silverash63 It's not us, it's the tiny, crooked hat wearing producers that own the entire film industry that mess it up on purpose.
After binging on fear the walking dead for months, and now sick to death of the tropes, this looks incredibly original.
I literally just finished the rick and michonne one the last week, and it's kinda boring that zombies doesn't have any presence or power in this world.
edit: don't*
this world being the walking dead world*
Looks amazing.. looking forward to it.
Intriguing
This looks incredible!
Great book. Can't wait to see this.
Looks heartbreaking ❤️🩹
excellent director
Can't wait 🧟♂️ 🧟♀️
Looks good.
nice, must see this
WOW !!!!!
Hype!!
Si tiene la décima parte de la excelencia de "Let the right one in," es una obra de arte
I can't wait to see it as the film 'Let the right one in' is a refreshing take on the vampire theme..
❤❤❤❤why not release nowwwww
✌🏻
The book is fantastic....so dark and sad ❤
May 31? It damn well better. Been waiting since the film's supposed release back in Mars and haven't heard a peep from it since
heartbreaking but scary at the same time
This reminds me of that series from UK where all the zombies are basically just revived as they were before they died. It was called Glitch and this is eerily similar, yet more surreal and intense.
Um. Wow.
First we had "regular" zombies. Then we got "really fast" zombies. Then we got the "hyper fast" zombies that can pile up like army ants on top of one another in order to scale city walls and the like. NOW, we have "ultra slow" zombies - zombies so slow that you can talk to and feel sorry for them, and poke, fiddle, and experiment with them. What's next I wonder?
Zombies that are scared of the living because they think they look weird? 🤔 😂
Awesome. The books was really good. Even profound at times. Now, if only someone were to do do Harbour next. But would like that to be a TV series instead of a movie.
OMG! Definitely a series would be way better than a movie 😍
I kind of want someone to tackle Little Star. That’s still my personal favourite of his books
@@danmann861 *YES!*
Hmmmm looks interesting wish if was a smaller teaser tho to hide more of the interests.
This looks like it’ll be depressing
For real. Not really stoked on it for that reason.
There was a episode in supernatural like this
Regardless of the premise, This movie is different than everything out there right now. If.
Hollywood would pay a little bit to this then they can recoup the losses that they have suffered over the last twenty five years. Quality over quantity.
Jeez
Great trailer! Movie Title could've been better
I don't think I'd be able to see past the whole 'you're a zombie' aspect to properly enjoy having a loved one back.
Awkward title but looks surprisingly deep and meaningful, something a film in this genre has not been since 28 Days Later.
Shades of Pet Sematary - 'They come back, but they're never the same'. The notion that people would want a relative to return from the dead is scary stuff even if few horror movies scare me.
lmaooo
Not a huge fan of zombies movies but im curious to see that one
😍😍😍👏👏👏💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥😱😱😱👍👍👍
This looks super similar to my favorite horror book called Suffer the Children. Can't wait!
Greetings, fellow DiLouie fan
Tina
Can you please upload the new Longlegs trailer now?
Agree
Is there a new trailer?
Don't rush it....
The movie doesn't come out until July, calm down
@@GabrielSantos-uv2fcthere is. I saw it when I saw Tarot
I hope there will be an english dub version available. Looks intriguing. A bit slow moving, but interesting
Looks well made and intelligent. Not really into the emo aspect though. I'll wait and see.
The book was great! I wonder if they'll go for the religious angle at all, i.e. dead come back = biblical end times.
I'm already crying. Joking but not exactly.
Another unique horror movie from norway
Wasn't this released a couple of years ago?
Isn't this "The Returned"?
OH HOLY SH*T I AM PSYCHED! THIS BOOK IS FIRE.
Very similar to The Returned and Glitch. Except this one is a movie and the others are a tv series.
Not in English Hollywood will probably remake this
I'm glad they didn't make an American version.
longlegs please
I saw this trailer under a different name
Longlegs trailer??
Pity it's not dubbed
The zombie genre, on its last flicker. But what a glorious way to blow out the candle.
Looks good, but I could do without the animal being hurt scene
This look like a slow descent to hell from the mind who craft Let the Right One In. I’m sold.
How did I watch a horror movie trailer and get tears in my eyes?
It’s very somber - till she bites the toast 😂
I might be officially neonized.
Do you want your jugular to become zombie food?
Pet sematary but if it was emotional type of horror
this looks unsettling and scary. Reminds me of pet semetary, the terror of being alive again.
Original? its been done before They Came back(2004) The Returned (2012), The Glitch (2015)
The book has been around.
Not for me cuz I dont like the concept of taking zombies and turning them into what I would consider boring, they're supposed to scare the shit out of you and make you question what you would do to survive in such a world, what your morals and values are and how strong those, how united we as a society really. Dawn of the dead and night of the living dead are some of my favorites. I wonder if this is meant for those who are not typically attracted to horror movies because of how scary they can be in that fashion, of they tend to just be scared. But in the same breath, it is nice to see a reimagination of the zombie genre, it kind of reminds me of warm bodies, which I also didnt really care for but it was a comedic take on it and I felt like that was an expansion nonetheless and just honestly brings more viewers to the screen who might or might not typocally like thr genre, to enjoy it together. This seems similar to warm bodies, but doing the opposite, a more dreadful, slow pace, leaning more into the drama side of it, I hope it still leans into the zombies though and doesnt leave that behind. I wouldnt compare it to Ravenou because ravenou was just low budget to me in fimmaking style, but still leaned into the original heart of the zombie genre. All in all, there is something for everyone, and its always nice to see how versatile the zombie genre is.
Omg did they hurt that poor bunny for real?😰
Isn't that based.. on a tv show called.. Glitch? It looks very familiar.
no. its based on a novel
Looks like another great film from NEON but I’m not digging the name
It’s the name of the book.
Love Renate but this looks snoozy
Pass. Looks miserable and depressing.
I am so sick of zombie movies, I will never watch another one. Movie makers have completely lost their imagination. I don’t care what spin they put on it, I’ve had enough for this lifetime!
Looks like the Worst Zombies in the World. If you don't get the joke, well...
this looks like absolute garbage. big miss especially for pointless animal cruelty
You do realise it’s a movie? No animals harmed for real 😅
What's with the upside down cross? God shall not be mocked. Whoever made this movie will end up in hell.
Looks lame
I am so tired of zombie stuff.
THIS ISNT LIKE THE OTHER ZOMBIE STUFF….. this looks good and impactful, showing a side of zombie movies we don’t usually get to see
cry more
@@BuzzieeTheMarsmellow I've heard that before. They are all the same recycled crap.
@@fredvasquez4201 Your mum is gonna cry more tonight when I turn her into a butt puppet

A wise man once told me, “Sometimes dead is better.”
Walking dead for people that watch Grey's anatomy 😂
