Looks like the movie's taking inspiration based off the eerie phenomenon of the unsolved missing 411 cases. Always creeped me out hearing about the cases of people suddenly vanishing in the forest alone leaving no trail or clues of how they disappeared. What's even more chilling is the fact that alot of those cases have way too many similarities not to be connected somehow but they never could be explained.
I’m puzzled by the low IMDb and Rotten ratings. This is one of the best horror/fantasy movies I've watched for a Long time, without a single dull moment. Rating 9/10 imo ❤😂
I listened to the book in one go during a ten hour shift and it is amazing.. This trailer reveals way more than it should which is sad! I really hope this is good because this is an amazing book and A.M. Shine deserves huge credit for the book! Dakota Fanning is also a great casting as Mina. I really hope Madeline’s actress is as good as she looks and the spoilers to some of the plot that’ll be a dead give away to anyone who watches the trailers does not ruin the experience
Thank you trailer for reminding me to listen to "the lion the witch and the cobra" again. Shineads "never get old" is such a great song from an incredible album.
Love seeing little Dakota Fanning & Shyamalan doing comebacks. It's taking me back to the early 00s. When sci-fi movies were popular during that time. I know Dakota is all grown up. But to me, she'll always be a child actor. Love her in Man on Fire with Denzel Washington. Creasy Bear! 😭 Still a great movie.
Finished reading the book. So far, it's looking good. I recognised many scenes from the book. But the books have some plot holes too. It would be nice to see how the director handle these things. Very excited.
The book was awful and the twist with Madeline you could see coming from a mile away. The whole premise is very "Shyamalan" so I'm hoping they could add or rework some things, but...yeah. I don't have much hope for an adaption from such flawed source material

Okay, I've been listening to the Audible for 1.5 weeks now and am at nearly the end. I only bought and listened to the book because of how interesting the previous trailer was. And now, I'm already irritated that the damn bird has now been switched from something the local drunk Peter gave her to sell and deliver to now it's her bird. I think it meant way more that she was willing to protect a bird she had just met. But so happy to see a longer trailer now that I'm almost done with the book! Can't wait to see the visuals on what is surely to be a thrilling story!
I was thinking the same thing! I’m almost down with the audible as well. Also there was no tv or music as well😂 I’m just being a stickler but I hope this movie is good. Comes out on my birthday🙂

@@pabbate87 Yeah, that TV takes away from the caged-in feeling because, without it, they are left effectively blind. Also, thanks to the trailer, there is almost no mystery as to what "The Watchers" are. So done with trailers giving everything away (or, at best, giving enough that, once you start watching, you figure everything out way in advance). Also also, Mina is supposed to be around 32 (there's the whole thing about her being "too old to not have her life together", but still being more of an adult than the boy and girl who are supposed to be 19 and 23, respectively). I know Dakota is probably about that age, but she doesn't look it or even evoke it. And Madeleine is supposed to be a bit younger (the book says she's 46).

I was thinking aliens too. Until I paused the video where the radio starts changing channel in her car when it starts to break down. I felt it was aliens because her tech went down. Her phone and the car radio. There are symbols that change on the radio's dial. They first appear alien, but when I paused it and carefully looked, they are rune symbols, and that is a huge clue right there. So it wouldn't be aliens and something to do with ancient bird people/creatures? Or, maybe actual watchers like angels that always were watching us from the skies, and now they have maybe fallen and now watch us in cages? The bird is also a hint. I always pause M. Night's trailers as he put subliminal images/messages. He does this in the TRAP trailer like I never seen before.. That trailer freaked me out last night when I paused it at 2:23-2:24. It shows a man in blue holding up a pair of scissors. And another man holding him back. It superimposes on Arnett's face. In that one second it flashes 3 subliminal images that you only truly see when paused. I have never seen anything like that before in any trailer as I always pause them. Then, the 3rd image shows an old woman looking in and she is directly between Arnott's face, dead centre in the middle. I believe she is Arnott's mother or the butcher killer's mother who knows he will be there as she anxiously looks in the Lady Raven concert from outside with arms folded in fear. There are other scenes I paused it and one shows multiple people will evil looks on their faces between the huge crowd that looks down right at Arnott's face as he looks up to see the police take someone they find suspicious away. They have this ghastly look on their faces. And in the scene in the where he is walking thru the corridors of the stadium. It cuts very quickly and shows a distressed lady behind him and he has a angry look on his face. It's all very quick and you have to pause it. I haven't paused the rest of this trailer to spot more. Night puts lots of subliminal messages in his films like Stanley Kubrick. Not to say others don't. No one does it like Night.
Ding ding ding you got it. Some people have said that the monsters are Eldritch which is interesting because they are Faye which is not even close to the same type of creature. But I don't think that either one would harm the bird, which is why the birds in the film. I had to reread the book to get all the nuances the bird was giving about the one person in the room.
The ending was the best part… it’s what made the movie come full circle. I’m glad it wasn’t just some creatures in the night, it was something so much more.
She saw a sign written by hand so she said to her parrot, "I think someone lives nearby." Then she went on to say hello from a distance to let anyone know who's listening, and that she is no danger.

This shares many similarities with 'From". A very underrated horror/thriller TV series!
exactly what i was thinking
I thought that too! I loved "From" so much and can't wait for the next season. So when I saw the initial teaser for this, it made me curious where this concept first came from...
That's what I thought
Yup I just commented above looks like she copied so much from that show smh…no originality just plagiarizing a great show

The movie was actually really good. She is the only one who made a movie over this subject. Her opinion was interesting. she connected it all nicely and with suspense.. and gave us an other view of an old story. I hope i see more from her soon!
great movie. Put it this way, I feel like watching it again. Ishana Night Shyamalan is a genius.
Good to see Dakota fanning back in the spotlight again.

@@jrgvsqzAlright mate calm down 😂
The Shyamalans doing their work. 😌🔥
They can't be trusted. I tried the _You have 5 seconds before the door is sealed_ trick on a cute girl walking in the hallway and it didn't work. She didn't run to take shelter in my apartment like that. Thanks for nothing, M. Night.
🙄🗿@@IllusionSector
Making terribly contrived plots.
I love Shyamalan's movies. He's different than everyone else. Hope good things come from his daughter too.
The Watchers is phenomenally both conceptually and visually ❤❤
Looks like the movie's taking inspiration based off the eerie phenomenon of the unsolved missing 411 cases. Always creeped me out hearing about the cases of people suddenly vanishing in the forest alone leaving no trail or clues of how they disappeared. What's even more chilling is the fact that alot of those cases have way too many similarities not to be connected somehow but they never could be explained.
Bears.
User I have been noticing the very same pattern with recent movies and series ❤
But, the '411' is just a scam/grift from a cop gone bad, Paulides.
The Elite probably took them and sacrificed them to baal. Just a thought
Sinead & Enya track!! “Never Gets Old”.
thank you,
I was stuck thinking it was Prince’s Seven (during his years as Symbol)
THANK YOU!
Thanks 😊
Exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you
It's good to see Dakota Fanning back 🙌
I’m puzzled by the low IMDb and Rotten ratings. This is one of the best horror/fantasy movies I've watched for a Long time, without a single dull moment. Rating 9/10 imo ❤😂
Legit
I listened to the book in one go during a ten hour shift and it is amazing.. This trailer reveals way more than it should which is sad! I really hope this is good because this is an amazing book and A.M. Shine deserves huge credit for the book! Dakota Fanning is also a great casting as Mina. I really hope Madeline’s actress is as good as she looks and the spoilers to some of the plot that’ll be a dead give away to anyone who watches the trailers does not ruin the experience
Olwen Fouéré? She's good.
I think the trailer is revealing to you because you already read the book. As someone who hasn’t read the book I’m confused by intrigued 😂
Thank you trailer for reminding me to listen to "the lion the witch and the cobra" again.
Shineads "never get old" is such a great song from an incredible album.
I had to look it up immediately! It’s a beautiful song
M. Knight has been on a roll the last few years. Looks great.
It’s his daughter who’s behind all this
read the book guys!! its really good
Currently listening to it on audible🙂 almost done as well!
Edit: I finished it!! Let’s just say can’t wait until October😉
ok. thank you. I think I will read it the movie looks so good but I haven't read a good book in too long.
Dakota is the best actress of all time in work as well as character, we love you
The book by A. M. Shine is amazing. So excited to see the adaptation!
Neither of em ever really stopped though
Ngl, I didn’t recognize her. She got that “I had a kid” grow up.
Dakota is so grown up! Glad to see her again!
M Night Shyamalan and Dakota Fanning….yes please! Cannot wait!!!
Its his daughter not him
@@xxjadynx he was executive producer..so he was on set and it had plenty to do with him...do some research instead of being that one in the crowd 🤨
I swear if the bird dies
LMAO
After filming the bird succumbed to the cancer caused by this film....its bad...I'm bewildered and blackpilled after.
According to the doesthedogdie website, the pet bird lives but a crow in the forest is killed for food.
@@skobiekilla I LOVED THE BIRD- NO
If I were a sun conure being artificially latched to a symbol about "following the sun," I'd wish I were dead rather than stuck in this amateur plot.
Very good! Way better than I thought it would be, my girl Dakota always doing her thang frfr
1:44 the trailer should have ended there.
Thanks for the warning I stopped as soon as I read that and heard the suspense build 😅🤣
@@g0lddustt29 Right. Let's see how it goes.
@@g0lddustt29 why spoil it on the trailer? At least just say you didnt like the twist and move on.

Looks good! Was impressed with Dakota’s performance in Ripley recently
What a beautiful made movie. I did not expect this, and definitely not the end. The «fairy» even made me emotional. And Ireland is gorgous. Loved it❤️
I love Dakota Fanning, I think she’s fantastic in all her work❤
Okay, I've been listening to the Audible for 1.5 weeks now and am at nearly the end.
So are you saying this is from a damn animals perspective????
I'll pass on this one.
Anumal activists ( Peta & such) a real turn off..
Sci - fi is usually his go to....Not sure about this one @ all.
One movie blows you away then the other bombs.
I'll wait & see the trailer did nothing for me....except think about the Philadelphia. Zoo🤔
It appears this movie is being massacred on Rotten Tomatoes but I really enjoyed it. I think it's well worth seeing in a theater if you can.
Landed here after checking ”watchers channel update", thank you UA-cam
Edit : Interesting trailer
I love Dakota fanning. She’s one of my favorite actors

My prediction is they're aliens, and we're the watchers
I'm going with Fairy/Leprechaun like creatures since it's set in the middle of an Irish Forest.
0:04 never say that to a bird friend…what kind of horrible eldritch would harm one?
Ding ding ding you got it. Some people have said that the monsters are Eldritch which is interesting because they are Faye which is not even close to the same type of creature. But I don't think that either one would harm the bird, which is why the birds in the film. I had to reread the book to get all the nuances the bird was giving about the one person in the room.
Good start , great plot but horrible ending..
what do you mean? the ending is good
Thats enough for me
The ending was the best part… it’s what made the movie come full circle. I’m glad it wasn’t just some creatures in the night, it was something so much more.
Spoiler pls
Never rly thought i'd see Dakota Fanning in an M.night Shamalan movie, this is awesome

She saw a sign written by hand so she said to her parrot, "I think someone lives nearby." Then she went on to say hello from a distance to let anyone know who's listening, and that she is no danger.
@@RickyBStanicky it’s a joke
@@RickyBStanicky how is that a sign written by hand had anything to do with people living nearby? What so if it is a type writing signs means nobody lives nearby? That's stupid and this movie's script is hand written by a 6 year old.
