Oh, where he flips into that head voice/falsetto? I saw your reaction to that. It is sweet! He does that a lot. He has a fantastic voice. He's just brilliant musically. As for their style - what's not to love, and also you have heard only two of their 'styles'. They have many. They are their own genre lmao! I need more ELO, stat! lol

Now that you have seen ELO may I suggest that you go back and re-watch the tribute performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, and Prince. At the time you didn't know who the singers were. The first singer was Tom Petty and the second singer on the left with the amazing voice was Jeff Lynne of ELO

Their 1981 album "Time" is fantastic "Hold on tight" "Here is the news" "Ticket to the moon"
ELO was brilliantly eclectic and elegant in much of their work, but they also had a tight rock'n'roll core. Check out "Do Ya" or "Poker" to hear ELO tear it up.

One of my favorite ELO songs. ELO just captures the feeling of the 70s.
They put on a great concert back in 1979. Light show included.
In the early days of this band, the violin and cello were part of the band (the cello player wore a leather aviator's cap...). This is also a band that sounds as good live as it does on the album. Check out 'Turn to Stone' done live at Wembley Stadium....
Awesome ! Another Elo song reaction. This group is flat out fantastic in concert so if they tour again, they are must see ! When they got to the last 2 minutes of Mr Blue Sky I was brought to tears due to how magnificent if sounded. Either that or it was the rum and cokes..😂 …either way I was moved emotionally and it was an unbelievable experience to see them. ELO has their own music genre. It is called ELO. Keep those Elo reactions coming !!

Jeff Lynne is a masterful musician. His arrangements are always so appealing to our senses. If he wrote the lyrics or music and put it on an album, it is going to be something very good.... "Telephone Line"... "Shangri la"
Jeff Lynn is one of the greatest pop musicians/ producers of recent decades.
Man, you need more Kansas! Some suggestions: Journey from Maribronn, Song for America, Lamplight Symphony, Incomudro, Carry on Wayward Song, The Wall, Miracles out of Nowhere, Cheyenne Anthem, Magnum Opus, and on and on. The finest American prog band by a long shot!!!

May I suggest their songs 'Evil Woman' or'Telephone Line' although there are plenty more, some can be watched from their concerts or MTV video's.

Jethro Tull with Flute, Kansas with Elec Violin, Supertramp with Rick's Piano/ John's Saxophone, Bob Dylan with Vocals/Harmonica, Chicago with Horns, Led Zeppelin with Robert Plant's vocals/Jimmy's Guitar, Pink Floyd with Gilmour's Guitar. Santana with Carlos Guitar/Bongos/Congas, Rolling Stones with Mick Jagger's vocals, Jimi Hendrix with Jimi Jendrix, Queen with Freddies vocals/Brian's Guitar, The Beatles with everything they did. There are several more, but those stand out from all others in my opinion.
