  • I consistently dance to the few Electric Light Orchestra songs I've heard on this channel (namely "Mr. Blue Sky" which has been my absolute favorite), and have added them to my "happy playlist" as they just bring me so much joy. Time to add another one!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to ELO performing "Don't Bring Me Down" for the first time.

If your foot doesn't automatically start tapping along with this song, ... Jeff is an unbelievably brilliant songwriter, artist, and producer, he knows tempo

My dad's name was Bruce and I would always sing this saying, "Don't bring me down, Bruuuuce", he hated it. Miss you poppa!

  • @colrhodes377

You really must experience The Travelling Wilburys. Jeff, alongside four other legends, brings more joy to the world.

The Charismatic Voice is the vocal equivalent of Bob Ross. Someone who loves what they do and without a vicious bone in their body

"Don't bring me down, Bruce". he told that its the wrong lyric, but gave up as the crowd always sang Bruce and started singing it, too.

The Traveling Wilburys (which included Jeff Lynne (ELO), George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dillon, and the legendary Roy Orbison) needed more time to make a lot more music. The vocals of George Harrison and Jeff Lynne stand out among all of these legends, and they are absolutely incredible. You can certainly hear the Jeff Lynne/ELO influence in many of their songs.

There has never been a time in my life in the decades since I first heard this song where I didn't think they were saying, "Bruce"

Elizabeth has the greatest personality on UA-cam if not the whole planet. She always makes my day.

"Groove Is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite is a guaranteed smile maker.

  • @MxQuist0812

If no one else has said it, the saucer was the iconic symbol for the "New World Record" album, as well as the "Out of the Blue" album.

  • @kellywhitty3050

I saw an interview with the singer. He said he just felt like it needed some syllables in that spot, so he added some gibberish: grruss.... . He discovered later that gruss is a greeting in some parts of Germany. He also found the audiences, and eventually the band, singing "Bruce".. so that's what it became.
