Airbus A320 landing in HERAKLION with ATC (Cockpit View)

Full Approach and Landing for RNAV (GNSS) runway 27 in Heraklion, Greece (HER/LGIR).
Flight from Toulouse, Blagnac Airport to Heraklion, Nikos Kazantzakis Airport on one of this (quite usual) Sunny and Windy day in Greece! I tried to increase the volume of the loudspeaker for you to hear all the communication we had with the ATC (Air Traffic Control) throughout the last stage of the flight.
The airport at this time of the day was full of traffic, in the air and on the ground, bringing tourists from all over Europe to spend their holidays in Crete!

Planning a trip to Crete this summer with your airline. Is Chania just as easy to fly into? Do the same airplanes fly into both airports?

Chania it’s easier to land: longer runway easy location, but it could be a mess as well with southerly winds!

We were number1 in the approach sequence for landing on first contact with ATC, then she made us reduce the speed for a friend of her to land 1st that's why I reacted like this ^^

L’altitude de décision minimal pour la RNAV27 à Heraklion est de 880pieds c’est pour ça ;)
