Great one⚠️ I have uploaded an approach to Heraklion with an A320 a few weeks ago. Really like your channel and the different perspectives, Max! Best regards from EDDF
I flew here in August and we had a wonderful Wizz Air approach, was stunning, could see the waves but because of where I was I was completely unaware when we had reached the runway. Slammed against the ground quite literally, and had a go around after the touchdown. According to the pilot it was a down draft. Don’t really know what it means but it was very eventful... 😂
Great video, awesome. I'm a 737 researcher. As a 737 researcher I've a very urgent question for you...... All b737ng has 3 guarded switches ( flap, gear, terrain) in the gpws system. But I've noticed that some b737 max have 4 guarded switches in the gpws system. What is the extra for max????? This is my question. Please help me. I'm waiting for answer.........
Success that was not an easy landing .. You approached and landed wonderfully. Sir, there were no glideslopes. I'm dealing with the simulator. I follow it and learn from you...
Thanks ! In my company we, as FO, are not trained to taxi, it's always the captain taxiing. Also, this is the only airplane in our fleet that has the steering on the right, all the other 737's don't have the option ;)
A simple rule of thumb to follow a 3° path. Altitude x 3 = distance. If I'm at 10.000ft for example : 10 x 3 = 30Nm. I constantly compare my altitude to my distance remaining (either straight to the runway or the planned routing). On that I add some margin for decelerating, and I add or substract some distance for head or tailwind ;)
@@charliehotel6687 Only in the beginning. After a while, you're not doing math, there's just a few common points memorized (30 miles at 10K, 20 miles at 7K, 10 miles at 3K, 5 at 1500, 3 at 1000) which are an approximation, but that's all you need for a basic "am I on profile?" situational awareness picture. And inbetween you interpolate. If you need something more exact, VNAV is there for you far away, and the glideslope is there close in. At least for me that's what works.
Amazing video and approach! Quick question: Why did the runway have white X’s before the threshold? Doesn’t that normally mean that the runway is not to be used? Or was that something in the NOTAM?
That is the LNAV go around being armed. It always arms, even when flight directors are OFF. In case of go around, if we press TOGA the LNAV go around would activate. That's an option and not available on all 737's ;)
It's a different captain in each video ;) We fly with different people every day :) Except the last few videos of my USA mission, these flights were with the same captain ;)
Can you please drop me an email (you can find me on linkedin) regarding the use of the the same approach plates in your videos than you use at work ;) Looking forward!
@@jackfontaine8969 Most terminal airspace has speed restrictions (usually printed on approach plates/charts), which must be respected at all times. Only ATC can lift the restriction, as we see in this video. So to your answer your question, yes.
why have you done a wind check ? if it's windy are you not going to land ? i know you were the only traffic there but, that was useless i think, dont you ?
We ask for a wind check for 2 things : we use the latest wind to set our correct approach speed. And by having a mental picture of the wind I'm able to better fly the aircraft as I know what to expect getting close to the ground and how to correct it.
Now that was a very polite controller. Could listen to him all day long. :)
I enjoyed seeing the detailed navigation explanation at the beginning of the video.

Great video Max! Perfect landing again.
This channel is painfully underrated! Love from India 🇮🇳
smooth landing... greetings from a german TUI colleague.
Great video! Very informative to watch, and well flown on the visual approach! Keep up the great work :)
I enjoyed watching your videos so much ! Keep up your good work.
That’s the reason why a second pilot is so important!! Great visual approach though !
Outstanding video and a fine landing. Thanks so much.
Amazing as always ! Thank you Max 👌🏽
youre the only one that explain every procedure, love that!
if possible could you make a video on a cold and dark start of an aircraft. would be really interesting
Incredibly inspiring Max. Fly into Heraklion all the time as crew. Amazing to see the visual approach 🤘

@Infinite Flight Diary Thank you!
What a beautiful approach. Well done gentlemen.
Excellent as always PilotMax. Well done! Stay safe my friend.
Thanks for the great explanation. Best regards from EDFC
Your videos are the best for training. My compliments !
Such a flawless approach despite the height management, but corrected all like a boss. Great!
Great video and landing!
Perfect landing, perfect weather.
Nice bro!! 👍

By far the best flying channel on UA-cam. Keep the good work 💪🏽
That is so cool ! I was feeling like in the real cockpit. Keep safe
As always very amazing , Max! Kissing landing!
Thanks ! :)
So inspired by your job, excellent as usual ! ✈️

Great landing
Take care

Very nice video Max! Great explanations, very informative as well, perfect for aviation enthusiasts like us👍🏻
Thanks for this great video
Max that's what i call perfect visual motivating me to get serious with PPL
I remember that airport from the 90'es, much bigger now :)
I like to hear the "five" callout from Mr Boeing! AHH, have we landed yet! Nice video thanks!
Hell yea i love your videos the most informative aviation video out there
Amazing videos PilotMax! Just wondering when are you going to put up more videos? Thanks 😊
Awesome video Max. You're the best!
Nice landing
One more amazing vídeo Max!!, saludos from Tenerife.
Amazing approach and great landing 👍
Great video like always thankyou👊🏼
Great. Thanks for sharing
Enjoyed this again!! I would like to see how much power corrections you use to maintain glideslope when flying final for the visual landings

Very Good !!! I enjoyed it !!!
you delivered again, Sir!
great video! love the greek islands
Very niche visual approach :)
Thank you for interesting approach!
And why did you have too much speed below 10 000 ft??
Higher speed = more drag = descending faster ;)
Max, can't get enough this videoo....
Smooth landing btw

The 4th is runway inhibit, it disables the RAAS system (runway awareness and advisory system)

Me too but in FSX😅
I won't even fly either in fsx or irl
Greek ATC clearest I ever heard.
Ever go to Chania on Crete?
Yes I flew a few times to Chania already :) Beautiful approach too !
Love u max...love u channel too
Génial ✨✨✨
Nice video!
Any chance you are the pilot for Brussels -Chania on octobre 1ste?
Nice approach! As far as I can see you have the tiller on your side, so why don't you do the taxi on your behalf, why Captain takes control?

sir will you upload new video soon ?
Always been curious, when do airports use Follow me cars?
Amazing video and approach! Quick question: Why did the runway have white X’s before the threshold? Doesn’t that normally mean that the runway is not to be used? Or was that something in the NOTAM?
Yes part of the runway was not usable. You can see at the end of the X's there is a white line. I touchdown after that line on the usable runway ;)
Hello from Japan! Why is there an indication of LNAV arm when both FDs are turned off during the approach? What is the FCC logic behind this?
That is the LNAV go around being armed. It always arms, even when flight directors are OFF. In case of go around, if we press TOGA the LNAV go around would activate. That's an option and not available on all 737's ;)

Knap Max. Mooi gedaan.
Great
Prima verslag!!
Can you prepare a video with a visual approach into Rhodes in case you get there? :D Its done there regularly and I flew it many times as a passenger
I was there last week but didn't film that day. Mayby in the future :)
@@pilotmax amazing!
Why is the Visual more fun than the RNAV approach. Will you please explain? Thank you.
Because we do what we want and fly directly to the runway visually :)
PilotMax Has a non pilot it looks pretty stressful and hard, but I guess with enough practice its more fun then anything.
You set Vertical speed 4000 ft/m Are you trying to damage wings and flaps ? which airline is this . 👏
There is no limitation in vertical speed on an aircraft ;) Only speed and G loading are limiting ;)
Superbrd
I'd fly anywhere with you Max. :)
Die video's van u blijven mij nooit vervelen 😛
Hey Max one question how do you record the ATC coms with the bose ?
It's in the description ;) I use a nflightcam cable

do they assign you a crew you fly with all the time?

I've watched so many of these videos. I think I could do that 😂
sır can ı ask one questıon ? why you piloting fly and contact at the same time ? ı dont know just asking dont judge
The captain was answering a call from the cabin, at that time we just received a radio call, so I answered it while flying ;)

OO-JAL is a 737-700 (737-7K2) and not a -800 ...
Waar woont u in België/Nederland???🧐🧐🧐🧐🤪
Do you have to speak English regarding stuff related to flying the plane like the landing checklist or flaps?
Yes most callouts and checklists are done in English, other discussions we do in Enlglish or in Dutch/French.

as you were passing 8000ft you were doing 300 knots IAS isnt this against faa rules?
its usually 250 knots under 10,000/FL100 Unless stated otherwise by ATC, and at 2:57 he clearly said "No Speed Restriction"
No FAA rules in Europe ;)
@@pilotmax so is it true that when atc sya free speed you can go whatever speed you want even when below 10000ft?
