Officer safety is code for "keep their insurance plan premiums rock bottom or else" ?
We’ve seen that EXACT scenario play out haven’t we?? Thousands of dollars in weapons, thousands of dollars in less lethal weapons, thousands of dollars in training and thousands of dollars in vehicles and when they are fired upon they cower and say that they were in fear of their lives and didn’t have to “protect” anyone
Its just an excuse they use to justify their brutality and murder.
Ain't that the truth
He couldn't handle him alone was the crime
And the killer walks away scott free, again.
Turning resources over to the bike now. Gotta get it back. Then we'll return to investigate that other small issue. Nothing to see here. Here's the deal. Just comply....

He then ignores multiple orders to place his hands behind his back during the arrest.

@delroy6815
I was hold gunpoint by cops one time because i yelled back to a civilian car that passed by me at triple the allowed speed while i was doing a turn he came back, block my car with his put the gun in my face and when he said i am a cop i said where is your id he point the gun in nmy face and said here it is. Luckly i was know in the area and the owners of the local stores came. There were 4 other interactions in my life never a positive one in 44 years, i literally never needed the police and when i did they were worse than the criminal.
The $8 million dollar bike "investigation" . Where's the bike??? 😮😮😮
Passed on to another homeless person for scrap metal.
The bike is irrelevant. The call is a convenient way to victimize an unlucky soul that happens to be in the area. I hope that everyone understands that these people take a great deal of pleasure in assaulting, maiming, disfiguring, murdering, etc. Evil comes in many forms.
Must have been a really nice bike.
Same as with George Floyd I am sure. He lost his life and they didn't even collect the alleged counterfit $20.00 bill that he allegedly tried to use in the store. It is why they were called and they didn't collect the evidence. Did they at least take the bike as evidence? Even if they were commiting crimes the police are not judge jury and executioner.
@@caseyj779Oh yes they are judge, jury, and executioner. They’re not supposed to be, but it happens every single day!

Privatizing police would be a horrible idea.
@@DirtyPlumbusCORRECT. Glad you caught that & posted a comment on it.
A killer with a badge. And where did the millions go to? I mean if his family let him be homeless on the streets are they getting it? Ugh I hate this story. That poor man.
Why should the tax payers be liable for something that one individual cop has done wrong
The laws need to change
Unfortunately if you sue the cop, you'll never get your money. The courts can only judge against the cop and allow you to go after his assets. But if he doesn't have any you're SOL. All a judgement does is damage his credit for 10 years and you get to bring him to court for discovery of bank accounts. Easy fix for him, just move the money. There's no law that will put anyone in jail because you owe money for a judgement. Thus why you sue the city since he acted while on the job. It sucks that it's taxpayer's money but it is better for the victim's family so they can get paid after judgement without any hassle.
@@HeyBruceAlmighty The suit should attack the PBA fund, and or the officer's retirement fund. Stop having the tax payers fund this bull 💩. The taxpayers funding these suits is not a deterent. A payout should also terminate the officer's POST certification so he can't go to another agency.
How is it that Pittsburgh cops will kill a man over a stolen bicycle yet when a car is stolen, they might show up later that day and tell people to call their insurance company???
They had someone in front of them (a vulnerable person at that) that they can get physical with. They love to go hands on and cause pain.
Not over a stolen bike. A phone call of a report of a person stealing a bike. No evidence, nay, a denial of the suspect, that a bike was taken. This was torture then murder. Period.
Cops said the same thing to me in NJ. Then a week & a half later when my vehicle was impounded because the thieves parked it in a no parking zone, I had to pay to recover it... on top of paying to fly from Georgia to NJ to do so.

Why wasn't the officer charged with this mans death? We need special prosecutors to step in whenever an officer kills someone. Local prosecutors are much to close to the police.

@@theblacksunannunaki7870 , though they never directly showed the Cops face… do you really think it was necessary to point out the Cops race, especially since we can clearly see he’s White and not Black, judging by the color of his exposed arms? Go back and look at the video again if you still don’t think he’s White, because just by voice alone you can also tell he’s White!
If what happened to Mr. Rogers isn't criminal than I don't know what is. How come every time an officer does something for officer safety it isn't safe for the public?
He was alone, he was black & he was easy pickings for a disgusting cops violence.
Police don't discriminate. Besides more then twice as many whites killed then blacks.
Another racist in the comments. Blue Line Gang hates everyone you ...
The caller and cop should be in prison.
wow..........sad days in america
Cops dont get pepper sprayed or tased enough in this country. 😤
They don't get lead supplements enough either
You spelled murdered wrong.
I'm surprised the officers didn't make a pit stop at the local Wawa for doughnuts and coffee, before delivering their victim to the hospital.
The man was clearly fearing for his life
We live in a severe police state
Beyond evil in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.
He doesn't have a bike? He never actually took anything? Trespassing? Did the caller just make up the bicycle?
People will just stop calling 911 for non-life threatening situation to avoid people being killed over small offenses.
It's a Ken & Karen society now. Everybodys🐑,going along2get along.Till they wakeup they'll follow the blue till it happens2them!!
calling the cops for a welfare check on a relative could get them killed. never talk to police never show ID unless you have been arrested FOR SOMETHING. never call cops on anyone you dont want dead
Officers safety? When can we start protecting ourselves?
its really crazy that we let the country come to this
Imagine me as a paramedic telling a patient of mine “don’t do anything stupid” The way so many offficers talk to citizens is deplorable and do nothing but undermine the confidence the public have in law enforcement, and in most instances just escalate tensions.
@climber950. Or a nurse, or elementary school teacher, or a clerk at a local gas station, or…… or anything!
The cops are the ones doing this to people. I get sick the way they talk to people. They are out there every day on the streets and they know how to recognize the very dangerous ones. It is vile what he did. 10 times shocking that elderly man? Really? He was fully capable of handling that old man. They treat all people bad. @JeanneOlson-vv9tl
That is exactly why outside of crazy people or someone who is just a real mcasshole people are happy to see people in those positions. Y'all showing up usually means a little releaf from the stress of the situation. Y'all are the people we know are there to save the day as well as it can be anyway. With most situations I would rather be able to see a paramedic about whatever is wrong then a doctor. I know I would rather have an IV inserted by you then any doctor. Fireman are the same. When they show up they are almost always big strong men who don't do the job for the money for sure. Y'all are all not paid enough for what you're worth for sure. Police forget protect and serve is why they are there. A perametic has a bad day someone can die but not intentionally. A cop has a bad day they can actually choose for someone to unalive just because they are in a bad mood. We thank military for their service but people often forget to thank you for yours. I would like to say thank you for your service and selflessness in what is usually not someone's best day.
The escalation is intentional.
They are trained to talk to and treat the public like children or dogs they just beat. Then scream "See what you made me do?" They enjoy being abusive towards the public
“Officer safety” hearing that makes me absolutely SICK,,, if your so afraid of the job… GET ANOTHER JOB!!! PUBLIC SAFETY COMES FIRST NO MATTER WHAT…. PERIOD
I understand officer safety in a big picture sense, and i am good with rules to ensure it.
Once it overrides the Constitution and/or is just a cover for cowardice, the concept needs to be thrown out
You need to learn how to appropriately use your/you're.
"when a policeman breaks the law then there is no law there's only a fight for survival" ~~ Billy Jack
"Officer's safety", "Don't do anything stupid". Wow. 😒🙄
Apparently the officer has no lawful reasons to take the wallet. Therefore, that is armed robbery!
I know. There was no crime. He was standing next to a garbage can, probably next to his house. Next thing you know the cops in his pockets getting his wallet.
It's questionable if the cop even had a lawful reason to interact with the man in the first place.
@@thegolem9325pigs don't need a lawful reason to make vocal contact with you.
That's the way that I see it. Armed robbery.
@@thegolem9325 Technically he fit the description, but as the man did not have a bike on his person, nor was there a bike in the area, the most a reasonable LEO could initiate would be a consensual encounter.
The dumbest comment I hear cops say, "This is for officer safety". They have a gun, pepper spray, a baton, and a flashlight that can be used as a club and a taser. While wearing body armor. If these cops are that fucking scared they shouldn't be on the force. If I wore all that gear I would feel damn near invincible.
I've said that so many times. Why are cops so damn afraid... they have more to fear of themselves doing something stupid that gets them dead than getting shot by someone. The whole damn thing is bogus.
Same!!
You got that right! Plus the safety net or knowing if it all goes tits up you'll still walk away with it.
1A protected speech.
Sell all of the officers possessions to pay the eight million. Instead of making a impromptu tariff tax due to improper conduct.
1A protected speech.
Why does the family who couldn’t house him get $8 million?
Exactly my thought. They cared so much once there was a lawsuit opportunity.
Cops create the situation in order to be able to use force just so they can feel super duper brave
That's exactly it.
Yep. I've seen so many times on body cams after an incident where they go hands on they laugh, fist bump, slap each others backs, and congratulate each other. Majority of them LOVE getting physical and want to as much as possible.
I was just about to say that they create a situation and they know they want to escalate it and they know what they want to do before anything happens this is where the excitement of this job comes in at this is what they want
They need to show the hero in them.
This cop definitely escalated to the use of force. He reached in this mans pocket and stole his wallet, when the man grabbed his wallet, the force was unleashed. As if he has no right to defend his own property.
That disgusting excuse for an officer felt it was justifiable to take a man's life over a presumption?
How disgusting and horrific!
Who protects the innocent from law breaking, civil right violating, citizen hating badge bullies?
For me, it is that plus criminal at the same time.
These crooks left home looking to abuse and violate rights of “some low-life” for any little thing cos he thinks it’s his constitutional right. Over a bicycle?..
This homeless man got the death penalty for allegedly stealing a bike.
My uncle was a policeman, my cousin was a policeman (Baltimore City and Maryland State trooper respectively) My dad was an armed security. I was in the Marine Corps and went to fight in Desert Storm and Desert Eagle. All four of us citizens of the law and have never killed one person. If I did I dont know about it. This is absolutely nasty interaction. Dammit.
Before you explained this"terry frisk" I never knew how much it applies to how my rights have been violated numerous times in my city where I've been targeted in this manner by police
These cops acted like sociopaths!
You’re on the right track, but I would say Sadistic Personality Disorder. He was clearly using aggression and violence to control, dominate, and cause pain and suffering.
@@ericfalkenberry2908 In either case it's certainly not what we want patrolling our streets as Police officers.
Totally agree.
Not act… they are
I seriously might need to stop watching these videos every day I see a new video of cops acting like unhinged psychopaths it’s really unsettling & terrifying plus it hurts my heart I feel like crying. I watch these bc these ppl deserve to have their story seen & heard but damn we all need to come together this seems to be getting worse and worse
