That's typically the language they use. I occasionally read press releases from police depts around my area of southern WV they post on Facebook, & they use that wording quite often. Like, "we assisted the suspect to the ground" when they tackle or slam someone on the ground.

Every single thing he did was crazy from stop to finish. I am glad I don't live in America... My first interaction with police in Germany was late after midnight on the way home from work. They just did a "routine stop". As the police man walked to my car I opened the door and released the seatbelt 😂 and nothing happened... in the land of the free I would have caught some bullets. I even told them to check their lights because one did not work. 😂

I watch a lot of police cam videos and what struck me as I watched this young woman was just exactly how calm and well-mannered she was. I'm sure everyone has seen videos of young women of similar age who scream, kick, cry, curse, spit, bite, and generally make themselves look like disgusting degenerates. All the best to this young lady. Her parents have done well.

How can you be pulled over in the middle of the day for a headlight infraction, when headlights are not required in daylight? All the other drivers in the video don't have headlights on?
@@briananderson6142 It was raining and she had the headlights on. Not sure about Indiana, but in Ohio the law states that headlights are required to be on during certain weather conditions, such as when it's raining.

The officer he lied to about her only rolling the window down half a inch at a time when she clearly put it all the way down within 20 seconds of the cop walking up to her window should arrest him for lying to police.
He pulled her over, yanked her out of the car and had her on the ground in less than one minute. There was no time for his imaginary window game to have occurred, and the videos do not show it happening either.

A big part of the law suit if it gets to depositions and actual court will be to document the time from when the officer first walks up to her window to when he is jerking her out of the car.

I read this cop was terminated from his job. That's great but he needs jail time. We don't want him to pop up in another state as a cop. Not in my town. He acted as if she had just stolen the car and then left the scene of an accident and put him through a high-speed chase. This girl absolutely did the right thing when she pulled into the gas station. That is what the public is taught to do now, even if they must lead an officer for a few miles to do it. A professional LEO will not object and they will understand why, especially for the elderly and females. This young girl's instincts proved to be right. It is perfectly normal and acceptable for a driver to crack open a window during a traffic stop. Owing to the number of police impersonators reported in the news, it is perfectly acceptable and normal for anyone to demand proof of identity from an LEO on first contact, and to open a window just enough to pass information. Also, it was raining. A normal person would open a window just a crack on a rainy day because they don't want to get wet or their car interior to get wet. A professional LEO will never get upset at such behavior during a traffic stop. This officer was on a power trip and he threw a temper tantrum when he should have behaved as a professional. This young girl did nothing wrong.
