Hello. I just wanted to say that it’s currently 3am where I am right now and I am making banana bread but I forget to turn on the timer so I ended up panicking and running to the oven like an hour later and the bread was burnt and a piece of the foil was on fire. I reached into the oven (forgetting to put on over mits) and just burned my hand and I screamed so loud and now my entire house is awake and they don’t understand what compelled me to make banana bread at 3am and honestly I don’t either. So how’s your day been so far?
Cooking with Mia, you have the best cooking videos for that! ❤️ I find it annoying when you have to watch a 10-20 minute cooking video full of talking 😭
Good grief...thought it was over and then she hit me with the ice cream. Then the Carmel. THEN THE CANDIED WALNUTS. THEN THE MALDON SALT FLAKES GOOOODNESSSS!!!!
Soooo i don't usually leave reviews but i made these last night and by this morning i got so much good feedback from my family.... both my side n my husband's 🤗🤗 everyone suggested i should sell etc. These reviews were accurate af! This is the best banana bread recipe ever!!! Everyone said it isn't dry but it isn't too moist it's the best!! Im subscribing😁😁
My favourite foolproof no-frills banana bread recipe! Even when I feel I've messed up cos I'm rushing or accidentally used too much flour, it always turns out beautifully. Plus I love how it always has a beautiful crust (i don't like flat top banana bread) with its crunchy peaks ☺ love you forever for sharing this recipe!
Hi for all the people out there looking for the best banana bread recipe this is a must try perfect moist banana bread thank you for the recipe my family love it!
ive made this recipe 5 times now within a month, and my family eats it within 30 minutes. Its soooo good and not overly sweet, unlike the other recipes that pour like 2 cups of sugar. I recommend substituting white sugar with brown for a richer flavour, and i usually sub a bit of the flour with oats instead, and i put in like a cup of walnuts. honestly so damn good
The title says it all. It really is the best moist and chewy banana bread. I refer to it every time I bake my banana bread and every time it turns out perfect. A big big thank you for a foolproof recipe!!! 👏
I really am so happy to read this! Thank you so much for following me and for using this recipe. It's one of my go to recipes and definitely a crowd pleaser!
Absolutely the best BB recipe I have ever made! You can pimp it up for extra goodness, like adding walnuts and soaked gogi berries for example. Rather than line the pan with sugar, I use baking paper. But you can mix chopped pecans, mexican piloncillo brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle it on top before baking for a delicious crumbly top (but keep an eye on it and lay some foil loosely over the top for the remainder of the bake if it looks too brown) OH! ...and a 1/4 cup of sour cream or thick yogurt into the wet ingredients makes it extra moist! Cheers Mia, you are awesome!!
I tried this recipe but as cupcakes. I used self-raising flour and put my oven on 160C only and baked for 18-20 minutes. It was a success! Soft and moist! Thank u for the recipe😊
My first banana bread was in 2018 using this recipe. It's 2022 and ive made a total of 3 banana breads (I don't eat pastries or sweets often)...and all of them have been using this recipe. No appliances, no weird ingredients, no a twist of this and a twat of that. Just simple, moist, and delicious banana bread.
Baking this again for the nth time just because I over ripe my bananas hihi. For those who havent tried this yet or still searching for the best banana bread recipe - THIS IS IT! Been baking this since the year Mia uploaded it and still not failed my taste buds.
I just cooked this bread for breakfast , it is really really good ! Totally recommend it , I just changed the recipe a bit , I used coconut oil instead of butter ( didn’t have butter ) , 1 3/4 cups of flour ( my mix was too liquid ) , 3/4 cups caster sugar , 4 bananas , 1 tsp baking soda ( I didn’t have baking powder ) . Now that I write it it seems like another recipe , but I followed the original and I had to do it with what I had , so I guess the original tastes so much better , and I added pecans , yummy 😋
Made this today. So simple yet so yummy! I added 1 tsp of vanilla extract. It was a hit. I am planning to make another one with chocolate chips soon. I read all these comments, made me want to experiment most of the suggestions here. Glad I found your recipe. Thank you, thank you from our home to yours 😇
I have been using this recipe for as long as I remember. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Every other banana bread recipe I've tasted just dosent match this one for me. NEVER TAKE THIS VIDEO DOWN! Its my go to recipe when im in need of a good slice and some morning coffee.😊❤
Used these measurements, guessed the salt amount. buttered my pan floured it and brown sugared the bottom. Dropped some vanilla extract in my finished mixture with some crushed walnuts And MY what beautiful light crisp edges and chewy, moist and soft bread 😩😭 Btw my butter wasn’t melted I used half a stick and it was just thawed enough to smash without struggle, then cut another small piece of butter about a tablespoon, melted it in my measuring cup, hung in my pot of boiling water while I was boiling potatoes. Might’ve been helpful in my amazing results 🤷🏻♀️ try it 🙃 Mahalo keakua 🌺
hands down, the best banana bread recipe i have made! i love the sugar idea on the edges of the bread, came out so crunchy! loved it, thanks for sharing
I baked banana bread using this recipe for 4 times now and it’s amazing as always, I added 1/3 walnut and 1/3 choco chips. It tasted better than Starbucks’ banana choco muffin! Whoever read this should try it out! Cheers
thank you for this simple and wonderful recipe.. we did this twice now.. also we did add chocolate chips ... your simple and fast edit made me click on this one !! keep up the good work
I love that you put your own spin on it by adding the chocolate chips - I bet that tasted GREAT! Thanks so much for coming back to this recipe, it sure is a crowd pleasure and it sounds like it is for you too! :)
It's the best recipe I have ever tried for a banana bread. From time to time I do variations if I am missing some ingredients (margarine, ghee for butter sometimes) but keeping the same amount for the key ingredients really keep the same taste.
I just made this recepie and It is the best! I am shook! it makes your kitchen smell amazing and the best thing is the sweetness, I would add vanilla but overall...... amazing! guys try this out! those 50 minutes while baking are totally worth it! nice video! 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Hi Jasmin! Are you asking what I am putting inside the baking pan? If so, I rub unsalted butter all over the inside of the pan then pat raw turbinado sugar (it's a very coarse sugar) all over the butter. Hope I am answering your question. Please let know!
This recipe is so simple and easy to make! I literally just finish making this and shared it with my family. It smelled so good and it tasted super delicious! They all loved it! Thank you sooo much for this recipe! Also added one teaspoon of vanilla abstract and used brown sugar instead. Perfff perff perf! Oh and one more thing, this banana bread recipe does not rise as high as you would think, but it doesn't make it any less delicious. Just make double the amount and bake a second batch. (;
I’ve made this banana bread twice now and it’s amazing, by far the best banana bread I’ve ever made, the only thing I did different was add a half teaspoon of vanilla to the wet mix. Thanks so much for this recipe. Always use a good unbleached all purpose flour in this and it will come out great.
Since I film these all by myself (well, my latest video, I convinced my husband to film me!), this was what was easiest! Thanks so much for trying it out!!!!
This recipe is so aesthetically pleasing and it works out amazing and everything on the list is somewhere in the kitchen and it melted in my mouth so tasty 😋 tip:don’t put to many walnuts or nuts it won’t cut smooth and it will break in chunks - learned that the hard way but over all it was delicious ☺️
DELICIOUS! My two toddlers and I made this using your recipe but with spelt flour and agave nectar as a sweetener just a little bit of cane sugar and we loveeeeeeee it! cooked it for about 45 minutes though but this was perfect! Thanks again
Thank you so much for uploading the recipe in the description box!! Gonna bake this for iftar later. It will be my 2nd time. Much Love from Singapore!!
Made this last week and was spot on!! Came out moist and delicious. Roughly 1 hour. Thank you.... also nice idea by adding the brown sugar to the sides .
I made this and it was soooooooo fluffy and moist! mmmmmm yummerz! I was out of butter, so I reduced the salt a bit and substituted in margarine and also a bit of vanilla. Thank you, this was so easy, litterally took me less than 5 minutes to mix all the ingredients and place in the toaster oven! Delightful!
Wow Melissa! That's wonderful that even with substitutes, it came out great! I am so glad that it was easy for you and came out yummy! Keep on baking!!!
It’s sooo good. I add chocolate chips. So many people have asked me about this recipe,I make 3-6 batches at a time, give to many people on Sunday morning at our church, I Cut them into small pieces wrap with clear plastic foil put in the freezer.
This has been, literally, my go-to recipe for years. My family loves it and my friends go crazy about it. I didn't comment before but after making this for so long I wanted to thank you. As many people said; it's quick, easy, and foolproof. Not everything needs to be fancy nor complicated. I've even done this in my airfryer and it was great.
So wonderful! I hope you can inspire others to make this recipe. Be sure to try out my other recipes too - I promise they are just as easy & delicious! Thank you again!
nice recipe & video. I like the tip about placing sugar on pan before adding the mixture. this will caramelize the sugar on the outside of the loaf! yummy
I've been making this recipie for about 2 years now and I'm more than satisfied 😌.I'm 11 and love baking I've written this recipe in all my cook books I come back to this recipe every now and then and appreciate it 😋. This is my go to recipe and my mom's always asking me to make it. Thanks for the memories
Out of all the banana bread recipes here in UA-cam this is the BEST! I’ve tried the other recipes and I always keeps coming back to your version. Although I lessen the sugar since I do used a super ripe banana. This recipe is very simple and most of the ingredients are available in everyone’s pantry. Just a tip, try to use a super ripe banana, it does give a little sweetness but in natural way and make sure not to over bake it. My banana bread doesn’t last a day in my house. Thanks Mia!
You are awesome! I love how you are putting your own spin on the recipe. Now you are inspiring me to put chocolate chips in my next banana bread I make for my family!
used this recipe but added a 4th banana ( they were only alittle brown), afew spoons of extra flour, vanilla creme flavor, walnuts and some coco powder (added half the batter to the pan, dusted it with coco powder, added the rest of the batter then swirled it through. it came out amazing. moist and soft and held together very well.
Wow that sounds absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! I love how you made this recipe your own and that's the beauty of cooking. Add your own flare and personality to the dish. Keep on doing what you are doing. You are awesome!
I was scrolling down the comments looking for someone with a 4th banana to spare as i do. and as you say, a few more spoonfuls of flour should keep the ratios in check and throw in some nuts in there why don't you? Shout out to Mia for schooling us. She's so lovely isn't she?
You are so awesome - thanks for helping others improvise with more ingredients! Recipes are only a starting point to be creative in the kitchen! I love hearing when people make a recipe their "own" (i.e., adding nuts, or chocolate chips or more vanilla, etc.). Baking and cooking is a perfect opportunity to express ourselves and suit to our own tastes! Much love from San Francisco!
wow...this looks DELICIOUS. once I get bananas I will definitely do this. unfortunately I don't have that that type of sugar. but maybe it will taste as good! thanks for the recipe! also, this is my first time seeing your video and you keep it so simple I want to watch another one!!! keep up the good work!!!
You really don’t need turbanido sugar, it works just the same with regular sugar… I mix in cinnamon powder with the sugar then put it around the pan and it works just fine… no complaints yet!
Thanks for your simple recipe. FYI, I added little lemon juice with brown sugar 🍋 with pure vanilla and also some chop carrots 🥕 blue berries, chop almonds. And top it off with oatmeal on top. Thank you for letting me post comment. 😎
Easy peasy, huh? I love making videos that are simple and easy to follow. My videos started from friends of mine wanting to learn out to cook and make some of the things they have tried at my house. Your testament makes me so happy!!!!!!! Keep on baking, you're awesome!
WOW - this is such an amazing compliment - thank you so much! Next time you could try adding walnuts or chocolate chips to the banana bread. Or you could try substituting the bananas for applesauce to make a delicious apple bread. Sometimes I like to replace the vanilla extract for almond extract which gives a really nice flavor! I have a great recipe for blueberry bread that I'm going to make soon into a video.
Cooking with Mia I actually have tried this with chocochips and more bananas and I absolutely love it! Will try applesauce for sure. Can u suggest how much applesauce I will need? Will look forward to your next video!
Hi Famimo! I would try 3/4 applesauce and try adding 1 1/2 cups of peeled apples that are diced into tiny cubes. Give it a try and please let me know how it turns out! :)
Okay this recipe is perfect!!!! I watched so many videos and this one was the best and it lived up to my expectations! I didnt use the Turbinado Sugar but I did add Walnuts (about 1/3 cup) and it came out amazing! I buttered my bread pan and it didnt stick at all. Thanks for recipe!
I hate to laugh (bc of your wife), but I'm so glad to hear this turned out for you! Because of the sugar + butter at the bottom, it creates a crusty caramel that makes it so easy to lift out of the pan. Hopefully when she tasted it, her spirits turned around! :)
Okay. I have never made banana bread. I chose your recipe for a few reasons. Tutorial was fast and easy to follow. No annoying commentary. Pleasant music. Recipe was legit when compared to tradition banana bread ingredients. I appreciate all that. But you now have a subscriber because I made it twice and it turned out amazing both times. Just like Starbucks. Seriously. With walnuts added. And it was easy to make. So Thank you. Whole family devoured it within 5 minutes.
Hi Victoria! You have made my day! Thank you so much. I love that you gave my recipe a try and even better, it turned out successfully for you! I also love that you made the recipe your own by adding walnuts. That's what cooking and baking is all about. Taking a recipe and personalizing it to your tastes. Thank you so much and hope you can give my other recipes a try. Much love from San Francisco
Ive baked this recipe SO many times so delicious and yummy however i would suggest not adding as much sugar because if ur using ripe bananas they already have alot of sweetness
It’s in the oven right now and it’s been along time since I licked the batter of banana bread. So good. Going through these comments has got me hyped to devour this thing with my family.
I love this recipe so much! I just don't add the cinnamon- since I actually hate it, and sometimes I like to add some chopped walnuts. It's amazing. Thanks for this recipe.
Yes! That's so awesome! I love making these into muffins (well, they are more like cupcakes!) and I'm glad they were well liked by your kids! I'm so happy!

Wow Melissa! That's wonderful that even with substitutes, it came out great! I am so glad that it was easy for you and came out yummy! Keep on baking!!!
Made the banana bread recipe. Turned out yummy and great.
Thank you so much Semhar! I'm so glad it turned out well for you! YAY!

This banana bread was amazing. I added oats and whole wheat flour for to make bit healthier. And I will definitely use this recipe again
Thank you so much Maya!!!!! I love that you made it healthier by adding the oats and subbing the whole wheat flour! Wonderful!!!!!!
That is awesome!
I just tried it today and DAYUM that was good!!
Isn't it yummy!? Thank you SO much for giving it a try!!!! Hope you can make it again!!
I make this recipe everytime and this is the best one and easy to follow, I’ve been making it for over 6 years now 🙏🏽😃❤️

So wonderful! I hope you can inspire others to make this recipe. Be sure to try out my other recipes too - I promise they are just as easy & delicious! Thank you again!
nice recipe & video. I like the tip about placing sugar on pan before adding the mixture. this will caramelize the sugar on the outside of the loaf! yummy
First time i made banana bread and it taste good my kids loved it.. thank you for sharing your recipe😊😉
I made this for my mother in law and she loves so much.. thank you Mia. love from istanbul
That is so wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for trying it and I'm so happy that it turned out well! BTW, I love Istanbul!
Thanks Mia!
Tried this today and it turned out great!
Thank you so much Charlinia! I am SOOO happy that worked out for you. Hope it's a staple in your household
Followed the recipe - very simple and quick! The banana bread was delicious! Very soft on the inside! Everyone loved it!
Followed this recipe and it was over in 14 hours ! So good my mum told me I could open a bakery 😂
That's SO AWESOME!!!!! That is literally music to my ears! Keep on baking!

Made this today, beat banana bread I’ve ever had. Thank you! My kids love it too
Wonderful Michka! Thank you so much and thanks for trying it out! My son adores this bread too!
THIS IS THE BEST RECIPE EVERRRRRRRRRR , THANK U SO MUCH :)
Made this yesterday ! Turned out absolutely delicious ! Easiest recipe!
Awesome!!!! Well done!
would this work with overripe bananas? The way my mom made banana bread was to freeze them when they went black, that way you got super sweet bananas.
Absolutely! In fact, it's far better with over ripe bananas as they are extra sweet! Let me know how it goes! :)
Cooking with Mia I tried it with chocolate chips as well, it turned out amazing!!!
You are awesome! I love how you are putting your own spin on the recipe. Now you are inspiring me to put chocolate chips in my next banana bread I make for my family!
Cooking with Mia no problem! My mom would make it with raisins or walnuts too. I love taking recipes and adding something to it :)
That's the best way to cook - taking a recipe and making it personal to you! Love it! Great job and keep cooking & baking!
I hope you never take this video down! Best recipe ever!!!
made it today and my family loved it.. thanks for the recipe
Excellent! I am so happy - this recipe is a big favorite for our family too!
used this recipe but added a 4th banana ( they were only alittle brown), afew spoons of extra flour, vanilla creme flavor, walnuts and some coco powder (added half the batter to the pan, dusted it with coco powder, added the rest of the batter then swirled it through. it came out amazing. moist and soft and held together very well.
Great tip!❤❤❤❤❤
Currently in the oven. So excited to eat it. hehe
You are awesome! I bet your house smelled yummy :) How did it turn out?
Cooking with Mia It came out perfectly and was so easy for a horrible baker like me! Thanks again!
Easy peasy, huh? I love making videos that are simple and easy to follow. My videos started from friends of mine wanting to learn out to cook and make some of the things they have tried at my house. Your testament makes me so happy!!!!!!! Keep on baking, you're awesome!
This banana bread is SOOOOO GOOOOOD. Been making it for awhile now and everyone loves it. Easy, quick, and simple!
The best recipe I've tried so far! Thanks in a million!😊 Can this recipe work with another fruit/flavour?
Cooking with Mia Sounds good! I hope I can try it this or next weekend. Will let u know if it works. Thanks for responding Mia! You're the best👍
Awesome! Thanks so much for tuning into my channel and trying out these recipes!!!!!
Glad you liked it!!
can i exclude the baking soda?
Unfortunately no, as this is a critical element in the texture of the bread. :(
Karen Evans Dis s.
Yes you can, I just made this without it and it was amazing!! 😍
Karen Evans i mean i added baking soda but skipped baking powder i don't know if it willl make a big difference
Karen Evans lmao
Love yours intro and video. Tasty fluffy strawberry looks yummy. I’m watching your tutorial now. I will finish until end . Keep safe and god bless
That looks bomb!!!
It tastes even better! Give it a try! :)
Cooking with Mia, lol I did... it soooooo good... made my wife angry because it didn't stick to the pan like her brownies do 😎😋.. thank you Mia!!!
I hate to laugh (bc of your wife), but I'm so glad to hear this turned out for you! Because of the sugar + butter at the bottom, it creates a crusty caramel that makes it so easy to lift out of the pan. Hopefully when she tasted it, her spirits turned around! :)
Cooking with Mia sure does... Thanks Mia...

Cooking with Mia You're welcome! Will definitely be giving your other recipes a try.
Can i use bread flour?
Yes! :)
Made this today, it was delicious! Thank you!
Ive baked this recipe SO many times so delicious and yummy however i would suggest not adding as much sugar because if ur using ripe bananas they already have alot of sweetness
Ang sarap ng banana cake mo..sarap pang snack yan at may coffee
Can we have the recipe in grams? Thank you!
It’s in the oven right now and it’s been along time since I licked the batter of banana bread. So good. Going through these comments has got me hyped to devour this thing with my family.
Ok. Just did another batch because everyone loved it
I love this recipe so much! I just don't add the cinnamon- since I actually hate it, and sometimes I like to add some chopped walnuts. It's amazing. Thanks for this recipe.
I made this the other day and put it in two muffin tins. They came out great, my kids love them, and the recipe was so simple. Thank you!
Yes! That's so awesome! I love making these into muffins (well, they are more like cupcakes!) and I'm glad they were well liked by your kids! I'm so happy!
