I made this cake 3 times already and turned out so yummy. My mother in law approved it. I did not use any sugar and perfect sweet - just from bananas. I did 2 layer of bananas. Layer on the bottom and another layer on top right before I flip the cake over. I also added bunch of nuts - almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds.
Made this cake today and turned out sooooo good!! Instead of cooking oil I used melted butter and reduced the amount of sugar to 3 tbsp only, I added more on the pan. The sugar and the banana caramelized perfectly 😍 Note: Don't use very ripe bananas or the cake will become soggy and won't taste good.
빵알못인데 세번째 했습니다. 처음엔 복잡할 것 같은데 두번째, 세번째는 쉬워요. 처음에 프라이팬에 했다가 불조절을 실패했는지 아래쪽이 좀 탔는데 다음번에는 그냥 오븐에 했더니 비주얼이 똑같이 나왔어요. 아이들도 맛있다하고 두개쯤 해서 생일케잌으로 만들어도 좋을 것 같아요. 생크림만 바르면. 재료도 바나나만이 아니고라도 신과일만 아니면 괜찮을 것 같아요. 고구마, 단호박 등등. 그리고 전 너무 달지않게 설탕을 조금씩 줄이고 바나나를 두배로 했는데도 바나나가 워낙 달달하니 괜찮습니다. 되도록 설탕 빼고는 레시피 양대로 하는게 실패율이 적네요.
This is an amazing recipe! Thanks so much for sharing it. The only thing I did differently was that I added a little bit of grated nutmeg before I added the sliced bananas. It was so delicious.

It looked soooo good and i had all the ingredients at home so I tried. The lowest heat setting of my induction cooker was way too low, so i turned up half way through and i needed to turn up even more towards the end. The flipping part was a mess(maybe the cake was slightly undercooked and it was sticky) but in the end i manages to turn over and baked. But the result is amazing! So soft and moist❤ I personally would reduce sugar quantity to half and if I want more sweetness I will adjust with maple syrup when serving. And maybe a crushed walnuts on top! Thank you very much for delightful recipe and beautiful video!

I've made this cake at least 6-8 times using both Cake Flour and All Purpose Flour, sticking to the recipe to the T - opting for 5 TBSP of sugar instead of 6. However, I don't get the rise and the cake always turns out gummy. Cook on low heat for 25 mins - turn over for another 3-5 mins. Any suggestions? I want to like it.... Update: Mystery solved. I was over mixing which caused gluten. Cake #9 turned out perfectly using Apples and Cinnamon as I was out of Banana's.
@@DocteurB Correct. I was mixing until the batter was completely smooth. Now I gently Whisk, leaving air bubbles and fold in butter (instead of oil) with a spoon. The last 5 cakes have turned out perfect. Amazing texture and beautiful rise.

Made this today. It was such a big hit! I used 30g of sugar instead and it was just right! Used oven to bake instead as I don’t have a 20cm frying pan. I like the extraordinary smell and taste of the caramel on top. Super yum!

I just put it in the oven. I used oil instead of butter and a glass container. I’m baking at 180c for 20min according to a Korean comment, I’m excited to see how it will turn out since my container seems to be a bit too big for the amount of batter I made. I used all the ripe bananas I have at home since it is a big container. I’ll update it soon. * I also used regular white sugar. Update, I just took it out after baking for 22 minutes. The top is a much lighter brown but I think it has baked well. It has risen well too, which I didn’t expect. I will now let it cool off and update later to tell you how it tastes. Update! I tasted a piece, and while it is delicious, it did not turn out like in the video. The bananas didn’t actually bake into the cake. So I just eat them separately. The cake itself is soft. I’d give this recipe another try with a pan or a better container the next time.
I notice koreans really like a lot of their foods not just their desserts more sweet than the rest of the world may be used to... i recommend using half or even just a quarter of the amt of sugar and it will taste just as good and may even still be on the too sweet end 👍

I tried and made this today. Well, it definitely tasted good but it was a mess when flipping it and then when taking it out again. Tasted nice but looked disastrous 😅 I’ll stick to make my cakes in the oven for now
Tarta de Banana Ingredientes: 1- Un huevo 2- 60g de azúcar blanca 3- 130ml de leche 4- 2g de sal 5- Una cucharada de vainilla 6- 150g de harina 7- 5g de polvo para hornear 8- 50ml de aceite 9- 10g de mantequilla 10- 15g de azúcar moreno 11- Dos bananas Preparación: 1- En un bowl batir el huevo. 2- Agregar el azúcar blanco y mezclar bien. 3- Agregar la leche, la sal y la vainilla, mezclar bien. 4- En otro bowl, echar la harina y el polvo para hornear, mezclar un poco. 5- Tamizar la harina con el polvo para hornear en el otro bowl con la mezcla. 6- Integrar muy bien los ingredientes hasta obtener una pasta. 7- Agregar el aceite y mezclar bien. 8- En una salten mediana, echar la mantequilla y agregarla en toda la sartén, luego apagar el fogón. 9- Agregar el azúcar moreno y esparcir por toda la sartén. 10- Pelar las dos bananas y picarlas a la mitad, luego ponerlas en la sartén. 11- Agregar la mezcla a la sartén con las bananas bien acomodadas. 12- Para que no se hagan pequeñas burbujas, dar pequeños golpes con la sartén y la mesa. 13- A fuego lento, y por 25 minutos dejar cocinar, ponerle tapa a la sartén. 14- Pasado el tiempo, con mucho cuidado voltear la tarta en un plato grande y colocarlo nuevamente en la sartén por cinco minutos a fuego bajo. 15- Una ves lista, colocar la tarta en un plato y dejar reposar. ¡A disfrutar!
Sooo good! Used an alternative way without egg and dairy because of my child's allergies. You made me look like an awesome baker. It's the best cake ever, so I was praised for. Had fun making it too, very simple. It's our Sunday treat now!
I have bad dairy allergy Anaphylaxis. I use Vanilla enriched rice milk and Earth Balance Soy free vegan spread. I’m not allergic to eggs though. Also for him try Duncan Hines Perfectly Moist Lemon Supreme Cake mix. I called them, it has no dairy and they have icing that have no dairy but I forgot which ones. You can give them a call. They’re happy to talk to you. Also I make lemon icing with confection sugar for the cake. I like it best.
I use no eggs, dairy or baking powder or soda. Simply replace them with flax gel made by boiling about 1/2 cup flax seeds in about 2 cups water. Bring to boil then turn off stove and cool. Can also add things like 2 tbsp soy/ garbanzo flour as binders.

I tried this!! The flavours are DELICIOUS and the texture was so soft and fluffy because the method is essentially steaming. Mine didn’t turn out perfectly like yours because I was impatient and unsure and ended up having the heat up too high (banana stuck to the pan, browned too much etc). But i still couldn’t stop eating it even while it was suuuper hot lol I’ll try it again next time! 감사합니당 💛

thanks for the information on the sugar. I'm prediabetic so I usually cut back the sugar amount but sometimes it doesn't taste right or I use xylitol

👍 Very yummy recipe! Several of the measurement conversions in the 'recipe' are not accurate. If you are using 'grams' they're fine. But several of the conversions to 'teaspoons' are not correct. Thanks for a yummy, easy recipe! 😀
I tried and made this today. Well, it definitely tasted good but it was a mess when flipping it and then when taking it out again. Tasted nice but looked disastrous 😅 I’ll stick to make my cakes in the oven for now

Tarta de Banana
Ingredientes:
1- Un huevo
2- 60g de azúcar blanca
3- 130ml de leche
4- 2g de sal
5- Una cucharada de vainilla
6- 150g de harina
7- 5g de polvo para hornear
8- 50ml de aceite
9- 10g de mantequilla
10- 15g de azúcar moreno
11- Dos bananas
Preparación:
1- En un bowl batir el huevo.
2- Agregar el azúcar blanco y mezclar bien.
3- Agregar la leche, la sal y la vainilla, mezclar bien.
4- En otro bowl, echar la harina y el polvo para hornear, mezclar un poco.
5- Tamizar la harina con el polvo para hornear en el otro bowl con la mezcla.
6- Integrar muy bien los ingredientes hasta obtener una pasta.
7- Agregar el aceite y mezclar bien.
8- En una salten mediana, echar la mantequilla y agregarla en toda la sartén, luego apagar el fogón.
9- Agregar el azúcar moreno y esparcir por toda la sartén.
10- Pelar las dos bananas y picarlas a la mitad, luego ponerlas en la sartén.
11- Agregar la mezcla a la sartén con las bananas bien acomodadas.
12- Para que no se hagan pequeñas burbujas, dar pequeños golpes con la sartén y la mesa.
13- A fuego lento, y por 25 minutos dejar cocinar, ponerle tapa a la sartén.
14- Pasado el tiempo, con mucho cuidado voltear la tarta en un plato grande y colocarlo nuevamente en la sartén por cinco minutos a fuego bajo.
15- Una ves lista, colocar la tarta en un plato y dejar reposar.

Sooo good! Used an alternative way without egg and dairy because of my child's allergies. You made me look like an awesome baker. It's the best cake ever, so I was praised for. Had fun making it too, very simple. It's our Sunday treat now!
What did you find as an egg substitute? I've been looking for one in the store with no luck. Unless I'm over looking it
I have bad dairy allergy Anaphylaxis. I use Vanilla enriched rice milk and Earth Balance Soy free vegan spread. I’m not allergic to eggs though. Also for him try Duncan Hines Perfectly Moist Lemon Supreme Cake mix. I called them, it has no dairy and they have icing that have no dairy but I forgot which ones. You can give them a call. They’re happy to talk to you. Also I make lemon icing with confection sugar for the cake. I like it best.
I use no eggs, dairy or baking powder or soda. Simply replace them with flax gel made by boiling about 1/2 cup flax seeds in about 2 cups water. Bring to boil then turn off stove and cool. Can also add things like 2 tbsp soy/ garbanzo flour as binders.

I tried this!! The flavours are DELICIOUS and the texture was so soft and fluffy because the method is essentially steaming. Mine didn’t turn out perfectly like yours because I was impatient and unsure and ended up having the heat up too high (banana stuck to the pan, browned too much etc). But i still couldn’t stop eating it even while it was suuuper hot lol I’ll try it again next time! 감사합니당 💛
I have no milk, so I use coconut milk and it's still delicious. My children like it and ask me to cook it again
