Unless you experience random and weird body shape and weight changes that mess up the ‘feeling’ of your workouts, affects your form and strength in different body parts on any given day, welcome to my experience. Actually, you are not welcome because I hope it never happens to anyone else. ❤
It has been 3 weeks since I started following your workouts and I love them so much I haven't skipped a day and I really look forward to my workout now, think I'm falling in love with calisthenics and It was yesterday when I was thinking to myself "wish lucy did a detailed video on pushups with all the progressions and regressions" because it seems like a good place to start doing all the cool skills in calisthenics.
I really appreciate this video. " You'll only be a beginner once" is so true. I've known that there have been issues with my push-ups for many years, but now I understand why. Thank you Lucy.
Thank you so much. I'm finally able to do a push up after training for 6 months. Still struggling with the last few centimeters. Negatives and bottom up really helped the most. Also, core training to avoid sagging.
I´ve watched you for years now Lucy, you seem like a such a kind and positive person. Thank you for being you and that you help others like me. Lots of love from Germany
Thank you for this video. It's the best explained pushup video I have seen and it has helped me a lot with perfecting my form!😊Although I do have a question, how often and how many reps should be done daily in order to make some sort of progress with the pushup?
How do you avoid pulling muscles. I am 39 but have generally exercised atleast 5 days a week for almost 2 decades (used to be 70lbs heavier then). Anyway im interested in calisthetics and immediately managed to pull a muscle the first week with dead hangs :(
Hi mam, i can do full push up but just two or three then I fall on the group. Can you please help me or tell me how to do more push up or pull ups. I mean how can I increase my number of pull ups? Or push up?
I see these people do push-ups with no effort as if it’s a breeze 😩 While I huff and puff and can’t get my chest touch the floor. Maybe it’s just that some people are built differently and not everyone is able to do push ups 🤔 I know it’s the same in yoga: our bodies aren’t built the same and many movements can’t be achieved by everyone.
Difference in body would suggest difference in form. Struggling to ‘push up’ is more likely about strength. Reasonable that a beginner might struggle; but can just do easier variations (“progressions”).
@RG001100, could be strength or as I said, could be the body type. I’m strong but I have really tiny writs, very narrow, and that could be the reason I can’t really be strong around my wrists. Anyway. It’s not the only exercise. If I can’t do it, I do something else.
"You'll only be a beginner once." - beautifully said ❤
Thank you! 🙏🏻

"There's always going to be ups and downs."
The unintentional dad joke made me giggle 😁
That’s the best push-ups video I’ve seen for a very long time. Great job!
Yay! Thank you! 🙏🏻

Thank you! How often should you try these exercises weekly to get optimal results? I’m doing wall pushups right now.
Great video, for both my girlfriend and myself.
Where should our elbow pits be facing? To the front or to the side?

I am a beginner. I dont have power to lift my body. Is that cos i dont have muscles. Shud i have muscles in my arms to do push ups
I hate pushups 😂
🟢✳️
I actually don't know what I'd do if someone was going to punch me in the stomach so I have no idea what you mean when you say that. 😅
It's like flexing. You'd tense your stomach. It makes it "stiffer" like you're building a shield before they hit you!
