Streamers have this weird obligation that it’s VERY important to tell everyone that they wanna play other games, otherwise they’ll get bored with playing the same game. Like, ok bruh go have fun lol. We’re all human yo, i think the viewers can understand that. They don’t need to tell why they want to do it, we’re all gamers, we all have our own preferences and opinions and likes and dislikes. It’s normal to play other games, dude. If they care about us watching, we’ll watch them regardless, cuz we wanna watch them being entertaining, the game is secondary. There are two types of people who stream: streamers who stream for fun, and those who stream for the sake of growth, algorithm chasing, clout chasing, and any type of content to do rather than having fun. I have a few in mind that fit the latter group, and I think I’d rather stick with the former
For what it's worth, videos like Mtashed's are aimed at his regular viewers, to adjust their expectations for changes in future content.
I can't speak for everyone, but there are certain content creators I follow for their coverage of specific games.
I have no issue with them pivoting to other games/topics but that may impact my interest in their content.
Nobody is in the wrong in these scenarios, it's about the creator keeping their audience informed & for the viewers to act on how they see appropriate.

My thoughts on 33:13 - I agree with Pokke.
I have been 100% F2P from launch, and have been getting max rewards for all endgame modes for as long as I can remember (obviously not at the VERY start though). For context, I have won literally 22.22% of my 50/50s so its not like my account is ridiculously lucky or anything.
From time to time, particularly when the 'cycle buff' was a complete mismatch with my strongest characters, yes - I had to actually spend many many tries, changing teams and gear around unconventionally before I could get full rewards. While sometimes frustrating, those particular MoCs/Pure Fictions were some of the most satisfying moments in HSR for me.
Granted - while I am 100% F2P, I do 'min-max' the game, I'm a mint picker and manage my stamina and pulls (to some extent) efficiently, I watch a ton of guides, and I totally understand that a huge portion of the F2P (and even battlepass) playerbase don't do that. I may be wrong here, but my personal opinion is that if you aren't interested in/have the time to min-maxing the game to some extent, then you kinda have to be fine with not getting max rewards. There's nothing wrong with not getting 36* MOC or 6000 points PF every cycle. But those who have an interest in putting time and effort into doing so can do it without spending any money, or having the rate-up character. After whining about not being able to clear Divergent Universe V Threshold 6 because I didn't have Firefly for days, I myself eventually cleared it with Clara of all characters after days of trying different strategies. Super satisfying.
There would be little point for sweaty guides, calcs, or even spending money itself if any F2P player who throws all their TB power into relics before levelling their traces and lightcone, doesn't build their supports etc. could easily get max rewards first try for endgame content (again, there isn't and shouldn't be a problem with not getting max rewards if you don't want to/can't invest the time and effort into it). Everyone should play the game how they want, and pull for who they want, but if there are no challenges put in place in endgame content, there wouldn't be a community of guidemakers, theorycrafters, and many players would just be deincentivised to strategise and progress their account.
Bit of a joke here to further my point (no hate): Just look at Pokke trying to clear Genshin abyss after his OILERS bought him R1 Arlecchino and Clorinde, Baizhu, Furina and more, and EAMs building stuff for him - he hasn't bothered to really learn the game's mechanics (which is totally fine) so he understandably struggled - but alot of content is very doable in the hands of someone who has, even without whale gear
Completely Agree... I'm just in HSR for the stories and characters, dialogues , references etc... I'm just mad..u get very few rewards from non combat events

He's perfectly fine for content creation, but he's the type of the content creator that follows trends. His focus is more on the business side of it all, and, whatever else you can say about him, I think he's generally been pretty forthcoming about that.
Honestly, though, I can't fault him for dropping WW for a bit. Like most of the end game/meta focused channels, he pushed, covered the stuff while the iron was hot, and now there's jack all to do. Pretty much anyone who isn't playing WuWa very casually is down to the use 240 energy per day, do dailies mode for the game. The content for his type of content creation has been mined. What's left then? Doing the tower for others and account reviews?
Now, there are other content creators who aren't as META focused, ones like JavaTheCup or Jeikage, who set silly challenges for themselves or just entertaining due to their commentary. But that's not MTashed. He's a power gamer. He plays the game the same way he games his channel.
No, he is a terrible streamer, objectively speaking. So no, it doesn't make sense.
This is not really relatable for me, this is getting into the realm of Soap Opera at this point and the viewership will show that, in particular for MTashed.

For me personaly, i log in HSR, spend the energy, quit, and go play another game (rimworld - the best game of all time), like, there nothing to do in game after the first week of update, and i'm ok with this
Yeah im the same I dont need my gacha games to occupy a significant amount of time everyday. I just want something to work on and then do some content in every now and then when I got downtime. If I wanted a game to sit down and play all day I'd play an mmo or a game I actually paid for.
This is why I quit both my hoyo games for wuwa. I would log in do dailies, do SU or Abyss once every 2 weeks, then if I would HAVE to go find another game to spend my time on. With Wuwa I can do my dailies and still have the option to spend another hour or 2 farming echoes if I choose to. Early on people were acting like you HAVE to spend those hours farming echos but you literally don't lol

@pretty.billy. sounds like a skill issue. I have 3 teams all 65+ with skills and weapons maxed for their level. Mostly level 20 echoes, my yinlin, calcharo, jianxin, rover, diaxin, and alto all have 50%+ crit rate and a few have 200%+ crit dmg. Gacha games are all about resource management, and if you're dumping all your resources into min maxing echoes this early in the game, that's on you. Just level your first set to 20 so your favorite characters have usable base stats. Then you can start farming echoes to level to 10, spend 20 tuners and see if you get crit value rolls. This will save you an insane amount of echo xp.
And yes, having a reason to farm the open world enemies for potential gear upgrades is amazing content for a gacha. But you don't have to do this. I took a break from farming the open world for a week and just spent energy on tacet fields for those days. I wish more gachas gave me something to do after dailies, and I might actually enjoy more gachas instead of them becoming chore simulators

he has mmo grinder mentality when he jump into gacha game. also he has the paranoia of being "late". he grind the game so much at beginning because he wants to being the first to upload the content (according to himself, being first to upload means the highest viewership). he doesn't create the content he dictated by the content, that's how bad his state is. he still doesn't know how to adapting in gacha game circle, he started with wrong mentality, that's why he always have the same problem, rush day one, burnt out next 4 weeks

i wish i could do this more, but at lease i am cutting down and if i miss day I'm not going cry seriously genshin i don't always do my commissions or farm much, ill play what i want, i tend to lean more games have fast login dailys like HSR, Azur Lane, etc. Always treat gacha games as side games, always want main one you focus more, I'm playing SMT 5 having a blast

Counter-argument to kektone's stupid take about "losing without the new unit":
Himeko got buffed because of Firefly and she is one of the strongest units to use in the current MoC. They have different builds, yes, but both utilized breaks. If they decide to release a new unit and cater the content to their niche, expect other units that play on said niche to be just as strong. We already have a huge roster in HSR, and ngl, I really like how they are handling the powercreep containment. Expect the same thing to happen with Yunli's release and Clara since both are Phys Destruction *wink wink*

that's the problem with most gacha CCs. only some of them can really stick with one game while still trying other games. but my biggest salute is for those who stick with one game/one series. like that korean guy who loves making sekiro content or mostly souls-like games. or that japanese guy who love his metal gear series so much. they know they have a hard time to see their followers increase. but they still do it just because they love the game.

I cleared new break focused content with scuffed Serval (no good sub stat 50:70 crit) and SW on hybrid break crit builds (break rope, thief). Also used standard crit build himeko on super break team. I do have ruan mei tho.
Just went all-in on Xueyi as super break carry to help clear future content but then I got an early 50/50 Firefly lol.
I haven't had issue full-clearing content for awhile now as F2P. There are always units now that can fulfill the needed niche that aren't the event character. I had issues with ice-weak content around Jingliu's release and didn't full-clear, but now there is Misha if I need ice damage dealer again.
I just hope they bring some challenging combat game modes during events. The combat is soo amazing in this game they could do soo much with different event mechanics.

I think that there may be a problem with HSR because ALL of my friends including myself are feeling some degree of burnout now. There are too many units too fast with too many metas changing every patch that it's becoming difficult to even get excited anymore for a character because just know they'll all be meta-defining every time and top of the line. We need a cooldown patch for reruns, some new additions to the game that may improve older units, otherwise it's just getting boring. The newest unit has consistently been the best unit ever since Penacony started, with the exception of the harmony characters.
If Hoyo dont make new meta every now and then, people would complain that the game is dead. Just recycle Hypercarry gameplay again and again is not fun.

I’m pretty sure full rewards without meta characters is a skill issue, and most ppl have a very hard time clearing max rewards without the new character.

I try to limit my main dps to husbandos i like (v limited). So kinda stuck with imaginary mainly but hoarding to vertical invest in future ikemen dps. Each time new shiny banner dps comes around i'm tempted cos worry cant max star stuff. But in end just mald and improve on current charcs, brute force somewhat. So far still managed max star everything. Cleared AS with blade e0s1/bronya e2s1/loucha/ RM e1and dhil e2s1/ sparkle/ aventurine/ TY e4 teams. And its v satisfying to clear without the Break charcs or buffs. Tho not sure how long more I can keep this up as its getting harder.
my dad is a realtor and while building his business he mentioned to me that on average people move houses every 7 years. so that is roughly how long it takes to combine repeat business with fresh clients.

Tectone is right about one thing - you cannot clear certain endgame content without specific characters. I commented this on the HSR subreddit and got downvoted. Got Ruan Mei the other day and finally cleared MOC for the first time.

I agree with Mr pokke. I finished the new end game content with my E1S1 JY Hypercarry team on the first team and Himeko Crit build with ruan mei HMC and Gallagher on the 2nd. I also already have Ruan Mei before the re-run. So.... I think the problem with tectone is.. skill issue????? 😂
HSR's biggest mistake was bad kit design for Jingyan
I have him at E1S1 and he is so bad and underpowered even with his beat team comps. It sucks, they should release a buff for him like FGO does

@@Dendyaryadi bruh it changed nothing. It helps those and only those who don't explore every corner of the map. Before the first 10 levels were marginal and the last 10 were significant, now it is just reversed. If you collect all the 20 scadutree you will be around 5% stronger. Really doesn't matter at all
The first time I 36* MOC was recently (a bit before Boothil released) and it was thanks to SUSHANG.
And yeah she might be similar to Boothil, but it is SUSHANG lmao.
I agree I won't single cycle anything with my f2p account but I'm able to clear all content with 3 stars and still use my E2 Clara from launch. HSR also gives you a ton of rewards to be able to pull for characters each patch. Problem is people don't invest in building 2 teams first before building rest of their units.
I can confirm, I beat all content in HSR desipite being E0 on all of my limited 5 stars except Kafka. I'm also S0 on most of them as well.
However, in WuWa I just haven't played long enough that I can beat all the content yet.
Being subscribed to multiple gacha game content creators is a god damn roller coast of emotion and whiplash. I just look at all my recommended videos and it's like WuWa is god's gift to earth, Genshin is the Devil, Fuck this content creator in particular, surprised pikachu face this new character that just came out for this Gacha game is completely OP and broken for the content it came out for! my f2p account + didn't have banner unit because this account loses 50/50 a lot and can't clear with full reward for sure. mostly losing 1-3 stars but can still clear MoC12+PF
reason is that old units, even if its good and can take advantage of the buff, are all still in building process/half-built overall because of relic RNG and talent/trace mats scarce problems.
being f2p means you can't get abundance mats from BP or currency from 30days sub to buy mats package in shop. stamina management for what to spent on (mats vs. relic) is harsh on f2p account. hell, even my main account that paid for BP & monthly still struggle with mats problem sometime that I had to farm relic less often so I can pre-farm mats for next banner character I want to pull for.

Every instance of "I quit" is just Mtashed showing he plays gacha purely for the views, he doesn't enjoy playing these games at all. Fake AF
I am clearing Moc, PF, AS as well as every SU related game mod (SD, G&G, DU) on all max reward / difficulty on my 100% F2P account since fcking launch. I mean, not the first few "ramp up" weeks, but the moment I started clearing, I never stopped.
It is FAR from impossible and you DON'T lose any rewards if you put in the efforts.
However, yes it will demand some thinking on how, why or when to build x or y character, and yes the fights can be harder than someone that can pull every new unit and benefit from all the buffs in the different end game mods. Some theorycrafting is of course a huge help, maybe even mandatory for some.
I think what Tectone means is "you can't clear content if you don't pull the new unit". At least, that's a lot closer to the reality. Because new units are that : a method that can bruteforce the latest content. And that's why people think there is a "meta" and call every new unit a "must pull".
I am just here seeing the POVs from Tectone, Mr Pokke and their own fans. I am so used to listening to Tectone, it's nice to hear different people's perspectives. I think Mr Pokke has some good takes too

I'm no content creator but I'm definitely quitting WuWa.. they managed to take my least favorite aspect of Genshin (artifact grinding, and also why I don't play GI anymore) and made it MUCH MUCH worse.. I don't particularly like it in HSR but at least I can turn my brain off and auto it. Also, this is a personal beef, but I've had 0 luck with characters/banners, every 5 star I have was guaranteed, either from selectors or.. I've lost every 50/50 at pity (just lost 50/50 on new char in 1.1 to my THIRD Lingyang) and I'll probably have to go to full pity again to get guaranteed, or would if I had any desire to spend money on the game at this point, I spent what I had saved up for currency, but WuWa isn't seeing another dime from me. Plus they didn't seem to fix the combat with 1.1, my Encore still will get in an enemies face only to auto attack a mob 50 feet away, or spending 90% of a fight running around an area just trying to fight the mobs that spread out to the 4 corners...

Let’s be honest, mtashed got lucky with genshin at launch, and has tried to do the same with other gacha games, but he really has nothing above other content creators, he doesn’t have the data, doesn’t have the guides, doesn’t have the drama, he’s just an average AT BEST gamer with extremely average content, just go play a different genre or take a break it’s really just gotten sad.

The thing that you cant beat without firefly for this example, is not true, new endgame are fire? you have himeko, guinaifen, topaz, and the first two can get builded with the artifacts superbreak who can turn everyone into a decent dps, fuck there is a youtuber that always beat all the endgame with only 4 stars, just search AS HSR 4 stars or something like that. Yes you probably need some e6 4stars for that, but there are easy to obtain.

Lately I've been hearing this sentiment that f2p is impossible on HSR and that you can't clear content without the new characters. Honestly, this kinda came as a surprise to me because I've been full clearing the endgame with Himeko + Seele basically since launch. Sometimes it's been challenging, sure, but definitely not impossible. Though that's not to say I don't understand where they're coming from. Firefly has had the honor of being the first limited 5* DPS I've pulled since Seele (I lost the 50/50 on every other one I tried to pull lol) and there is definitely a stark contrast in the amount of effort I need to put into clearing this phase of endgame modes.
