Just a general update on WuWa, ZZZ and gacha gaming shit.
For anyone wondering where the brax podcast is, that will go up on the other channel in the next 24hrs

The Leaked gameplay for CZN killed most of my hype too, but saw that Ash Echoes is probably releasing ''soon'' so im kinda looking forward to that one as a side game
Thanks Volkin, I was about to look for that podcast with Brax. It's good that you followed up on the Mtashed video. It makes sense that WuWa doesn't resonate with you given your explanation. You're a great content creator and hopefully the future patches are enjoyable to you.
I think there is a sizeable amount of people, especially in Gacha games, that treat it like a team sport (the social PVP). From what I noticed it happens more often with the hyper successful games and likely as is stated: in the Hoyo model of Gacha, where there are dry cycles. There are a lot of streamers that stream multiple games, and hopefully Mtashed finds a good rhythm that he enjoys and doesn't feel beholden to.
Something that may come to fruition down the line, for anyone with similar preference as Volkin, is Kuro;s history with PGR. I'm not an expert on the game, but they do have a few leaderboard game modes and some build in auto-clear mechanics for farming stages and similar stages on Events. Generally, you manually complete the stage once and it multiplies the rewards by how many times you would have run it. For, instance x5 would give you 5 times the rewards and spend that much Energy/Stamina instantly.
Time will tell, but overall, it's always nice to see healthy competition in the Gacha space.
The content I love is watching someone actually enjoying play the story of the game, which is what HoYo games are all about. ZepLive is great at it. BranOnline, Doro... they're all good. That's what the game actually is actually for.
What I hate above all are the drama channels. I had to find software that lets me block Tectone and GachaSmack.
You are having a blast doing your job and I always love seeing your smile Volk. One constructive criticism I have for you = remember that you are an actual "Influencer" and there are kids/adults that are easily "influenced" by you. When you had only 10 subs It would seem to be ok for you to do whatever, but now you have thousands you have to be very selective and mindful of the power you hold over these same thousands.
this is why your level headed and grounded. you dont engage in social media. that shit can be a sesspool of toxicity.
I've basically been playing gacha games to save me money. If I'm playing Apex Legends, then those skins are getting bought. Horizon & Pathy

Downloaded Watcher of Realms about a month ago and have been having fun. Very Raid like in terms of gacha and monetization and graphics but cool hero defense game. Wuthering waves feel the same to me though as it does from your explanation of playing it. Login do dailies/events real quick, save up resources, spend energy and waiting for next content drop.

I think it is crazy the amount of hate I've seen various content creators get for quitting a game. The content they create isn't good if they aren't having fun. I'd rather them quit and find another game they enjoy.
Always enjoy your content. Just curious if Solo Leveling:Arise was another one of those 2-week games as it is an instance vs. open-world action gacha. I loved it at first, but it seems like a lot of QoL is pay-walled and it is so time-consuming w/o paying the subscriptions. Keep up the great work!

I just realized that since ZZZ is trying to have the same dev cycle as WuWa. The content is gonna dry up at the same time rather than letting players have a constant rotation
GI and WuWa or the "hoyoverse" style gacha games have more than Guide creators or drama baiters smh... I literally watch streamers who just play the game on stream... I watch guides, pull videos, abyss runs, story, events, artifacts farming... bro you completely marginalized these games because they dont have PVP... a lot of people just like to watch people play the game, or be creative when making content... my man Moga is never talked about in this space when folks talk about gacha CC's, but does tons of great, entertaining content... I get if you dont enjoy the game, but dont marginalize the game... Simply say these games arent your style and you want to do more pvp focus games... theres a crowd for that as well... Summoners War is the MOST predatory game I have ever played... you can literally summon 1000 scrolls\pulls and get ZERO 5 stars... But at least you walked away gracefully unlike your boys gacha smack or tectone...
I'm gonna throw shade to the current generation of gamers. A lot of this concerns only exist due to fanatism. Plain and simple. As an older gamer, it used to be you picked up a game, you played it, you loved it or hated it and then you moved on to the next game. Nowadays I notice the current gen develop this one way fanatism identity lock into a single game where if you dont play just that game, youre somehow not good enough at it, or your doing things wrong. All good things come to an end. I now have finished everything wuwa had to give. Its been a great time. I'll keep playing it on updates. Just like I play hsr. There are also tons of single player games coming out in pc.
Don't see the frustration with having to stick to a single game out of loyalty to a company. It's a ridiculous mindset.
Just stick to the game you really like bro, even if you take a brake but still come back on maybe update or anniversary its ok, if its for more interesting content maybe to gain a wider audience you can post videos about game con or pvp challenge 😊

You should play Paix Dei. Just dropped recently. World building. The game will progress with updates and environment changes. Sandbox. You will NEVER be bored. You will NEVER run out of content. afk journey sucks, I played it and I think it's a p2w job where you have to go every day because you will go down in the rating of the arena and so on and after that you will never return to the same place where they give almost all the necessary resources. As someone who has trouble with exploration in genshin and had to quit, i started wuthering hoping i wont run into the same issue but it was happening when i was trying to clear all the chests and then i just left wuthering after collecting all the 146 oculus thing. I also like the way you say you like hsr for auto, its the same with me >.
I still play GI(late) but I was burnt out from exploring up to Sumeru in like 1 month so now I just do dailies occasionally and the events. HSR and AK suits more my pace. Quick AFK on mindless grinds and only requires attention when you actually want to play the game(endgame modes).

Wich gives you 9 skills, using all 3 characters, it´s not a fighting game like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter... relax and have fun 😆

@@volkingacha To be fair, not really. IMO we all know who we're watching (not singling out you) so we know what expect from that person. In most cases, and this is me personally, I find it pretty boring when I watch someone playing perfectly without making mistakes. The struggle to beat that one content and the person finally beating it is usually more satisfying.

CC's are in it for the money and that's fine. This whole " 2 weeks and no more content" is bs. The first two weeks are fun because that's where the views are highest usually. Get your bag, support your family but why do you guys make these weird justifications? Just move on its fine.

call it a justification if u like but im just updating the ppl who watch me on what im doing. and yes views and money are a factor but not the only factor. i stopped doing WuWa vids getting 50-100k views per vid to go play AFK Arena where i get 5-10k views coz it just made me enjoy my days way more dispite being less views
AFK arena it's all about hitting the wall, gathering resources for a week and then move to the next wall. It's even worse then wuwa or similar games. Idk if it's paid positive, delulu streamer or just honeymoon faze.

That's actually the main reason why I still follow your channel. I'm not a content creator, but I have a very similar style when it comes to mobile/gache games. I play them for a while at the beginning phase, mostly 1-12 months depending on how much I enjoy the game and then I move on to the next one. It's super rare that I play a game for over a year.
Maybe I'm still out looking for that perfect game that will tick all of my boxes, but it might never come.
Try FF14 it ticked all the boxes for me.

Yeah the only Gacha Game i'm still playing actively is Epic Seven, even after all those years it's still the fairest game for F2P's out there.

There's nothing in wuwa, the only reason why wuwa creators are relevant is because they made video about Genshin.
I'm not even a CC but that's how I approach gachas. I don't just quit after 1.0 though. I choose which gacha is worth investing and that I like. Then I clear the content then wait for the next patch. They're side games for me, while I choose 1 main PC game (usually single-player titles) to finish then move on to the next.
I love WW though and I'm more hyped knowing that they'll improve it in the future.
Most of the content creators don't care about games or they have fun playing them. They just care about views. They make few videos when the game lunches to attract
Viewers. In general just bcz the content creator stopped making videos about the game you play doesn't mean the game is bad or there are no content. It's just a job for them which is okay . Note: I don't mean everyone of course some of them really enjoy playing games.
regarding Mtashed, his style does not go toghether with gacha games. he should look into diferent game genre to cover, gachas are clearly not his cup of tea and ill will do more harm than good long term

I get burned out on open world games. I play enough of them on consoles. Don't wanna pick up my mobile device and play an open world gacha game. Give me turn based and I'm fine. Or the occasional semi open world

As you grow older you appreciate that you don't got to play a game more than an hour a day and get to play more on update days. I'm happy with it and if you want to play more just play 2 or 3 at a time and you'll get a good hour to 3 spread out throughout the day. I use to play all the time as a former WoW player in my teens in the 2000s and I see that time wasted more than anything. I remember being up for over 24 hours during the wrath of lich king expansion release of WoW... I raided & played daily like that game was my job for hours. I'm good, I ain't got time to play 4+ hours on average daily like I did back then.

Net marble doing an incredible job with their game solo leveling i play maybe a few other gacha game but im fine. Im a causal gamer so if i start to feel burn out i stop playing that game and take a break
I could give WuWa a try, but it has terrible performance on mobile. I hope zzz will be different.
they are different genre.. and yeah for zzz will work smoothly because of dungeon genre not open world

I totally agree. Play what you like and what makes you happy. Same for content. The stuff you enjoy shines through as better content because the audience can subtly (and probably unconsciously) pick up on the excitement you have for it. Of course if you are making money through this platform, it is good to at least hit up the major content for popular gacha games for hits.
I am the same with instanced games. I like WuWa, but i recently came back to Star Rail (left the initial time Silver Wolf came out) and been enjoying the gameplay and story much more than WuWa. I'll still play WuWa and HSR (HSR probably more) and see how ZZZ goes.

I only use your videos for gacha guides, so I've had zero knowledge of any of this stuff, lol. Thanks for keeping it about the games themselves. I'm a F2P'r and we hit a wall pretty quickly and it's time to move on, also it's easy to ditch a game when you have no money and only time invested.

I like Wuthering Waves, I play it mostly for the combat since the story is meh.... I think I'm burnt out of open-world games a long time ago, I might drop it if ZZZ is good enough... I love the way HSR just makes game modes to circumvent when it is dry of content.

6:16 the most mature fact I've seen. Too many buffoons today in gaming will expect you to think like them and hate on games that "deserve" it and only praise games that "deserve" praise. Tbh, you do really lose the fun playing it continously everyday, opening 3-5 diff games just to do the daily quests is really tiring and not fun. Unlike old games when u can grind only a weekly basis on weekends.

There are so many competitive games outside gacha. I Play gacha but I do not play them for competitiveness personally
I think the disconnect that sometimes occurs is the hype that CCs give out in anticipation of games. The build up is crazy and followers now have it in their heads that this is gonna be the best stop for content for said game.
I understand we all have certain criteria and a life and that's priority for enjoyment. On the other hand, there needs to be an understanding of both sides. Old subs may know the drill, but new subs will drop off. But that's the name of the game i guess.

I play multiple games, so any one game doesn't have to keep my attention full time like a job, and I don't expect any game to produce that much content. Since my income is limited currently, I mainly play F2P games as a F2P player.
I started with Warframe. I've spent under $60 on it over the course of 7 years now (specially priced bundles in the Playstation store, like $10 at a time for exclusive cosmetics bundled with in-game currency.) I still play it regularly, to this day. (Jade, the newest warframe, really freshens up the experience, for me, at least.)
Then I got Genshin Impact, since it was supposed to be like "Breath of the Wild"... which I was curious to see, since I don't own any Nintendo systems. I stuck with that, daily logins, until Star Rail... and dropped Genshin ENTIRELY, since I didn't enjoy the combat in Genshin, and I had horrible relics, and I hated Paimon, and the story was being drip fed worse than an anime series waiting for the manga to catch up.)
Star Rail is fun for me. I have a solid team. I still have horrible relics, but they don't seem to be holding me back as much as on Genshin.
I've tried Wuthering Waves, and the performance issues are what hold it back from being fun for me. It's likely my computer's low RAM, but it takes at least 7 minutes just to launch the game, and another 7min from "entering" the game until the game loads me in... and then I still have to wait until everything loads in on screen... and it's mostly the sound effects that seem to be messing things up every time. I have to run around bosses until they've used all their moves at least once, so I can react in real-time... and even then, it still gets screen-freezing moments that don't allow me to dodge or parry, in a game that really pushes dodging and parrying... Overall, I got Jiyan, Mortefi, and Verina, so I've got a solid core team. Annoyingly, I picked the wrong weapon from the free 5* weapon box... saw the sword, thought it was a sword, turns out it was a broadsword... yeah... don't need that (I have Jiyan's sig.)
I've pre-registerd for ZZZ, but I highly think I'll be snooZZZing pretty quick in that one, from what I've seen of it.
I also have Lost Epoch (takes forever to load initially, but once it's running, I have no issues with it.)
I'll never spend on a gacha game, but at least I'll have fun with what I get for free.
Tbh this is expected, I do blame the CC’s for this tho. They hyped that game into the moon and realistically it’s Genshin with more complex combat… and if u like that, great, but ultimately, it’s going to have the same constraints and issues. Especially for CC who want to make content.
MTashed has said it before, people label him as a feels content creator and not a theory crafter, so it's pretty obvious when he loses the feels. If you sweat a game and burn all the content because you can play 12 hours a day for 2 weeks straight, no regular game can keep up with that, even nearly all single player. So you're going to loose the feels quick. The only games that can keep up with that level of gameplay generally have to have either some simple skill competitive loop, like your sports/shooter type games, or some built in replay-ability, like different endings/builds a la Elden Ring/Baldurs Gate or Rouge lite/likes. But even then, there is a cap on content. You'll always be stuck with your hands in your pockets and waiting for the next update/DLC, or quickly moving on to the next game, when you have that amount of time to dedicate to gaming.
Yup we are the kind of games who are juz here to enjoy our games and to have fun and not gonna get involved in drama mamas. I missed My Space too, it was a cool platform back then. Great to see ya back Volkin! 👍👍
You seem like a really nice person and I have nothing against you. Personally I'll be very happy if Hoyo/Genshin CCs stop covering Wuwa. Most are just reactions anyway. That's why you may be bored. It's not competitive.
I came from non-gacha gaming space, and like you, I don't really care about the social media side of things. It's actually quite off-putting how CCs in this space seem to revel on drama so much. Most of the time it's nothing burgers, or between CCs. I just want the content about the actual game, and not about how much this banner makes, company winning-losing, which CC is quitting.
So I definitely support if you or anyone rather just make videos about something you enjoy. And stop covering what you don't care about.

I used to watch you all the time when you played Tower of Fantasy and it really sucked when you left but I continued playing the game up until a few months ago. There wasnt really anything wrong with the game itself it was just one issue after another irl and i was playing less and less cause I was either really sick or didnt have the time/energy due to mononucleosis so now all I really care about is Wuthering Waves, Star Rail, and Fortnite and then I will do Genshin, ToF, or Snowbreak or something once a week for something different or when a new story/event comes out.
Even though I tested positive 2 months ago I still have extreeme fatigue and muscle weakness in my arms and legs so I just can't be bothered to play every game rn I spend more time yawning then anything else lmao but I really do enjoy Wuthering waves I've almost 100% explored the map.
Your commentary about the lack of pvp in the game is funny, considering how often in your videos you point out about your lack of skill whatsoever and that you "play just for fun (plz add auto-mod devs can't play this)". Both you and Mtashed would be facerolled by any regular no-lifer daily would there be pvp in any games you guys played. Guidemakers like Brax or IWin are actually doing the work for their videos, saying they have no need to make more content really shows the difference in quality between you two types of content creators.
Yeah HSR has been the game I've stuck with the best/most, because It's my "phone game". If I'm going to play on PC, I'd rather play a .. non-gacha type game.

Decent turn based game with pvp and gvg. Is a fun unique game.
I don't like MMOs, or other very grindy games. If they require me to play hours and hours of farming the same mobs, I better not even start. WuWa feels like that but I like the playstyle and the combat though.

Dude, whats the headache really? Just keep playing and making videos about the stuff that is fun to you. When there is content to talk about, make the content, if there is none, rotate to other games. You shouldnt stress that much! At the end of the day people come to your channel to watch YOU.
ZZZ producer has claimed a multiplayer battle mode in development, would that interest you more or less in making content for it? Would something competitive make it better for content for you? I guess, it would have to be enjoyable for you first and foremost but I'm just wondering if that would create that spark of inspiration for you.
Totally agree about your take on Wuwa compared to say hsr. I play on phone mostly too and I just want something fun that I can auto sometimes. Wuwa is a great game, just hard without a dedicated controller / big time investment. Also I keep watching your stuff because you have fun.

The same reason i quit Genshin at 1.3. Played again after 4.3 and now uninstalled again. Same thing with WuWa. These are not pvp games that you can play infinitely

i'mma play ZZZ but from what i've heard, Its not a Main Game cause it was never going to be a Main game and there just isn't enough Content available in the game, but Wuwa has really scratched an itch that i have had for a LONG time. Genshin scratched it but failed to keep scratching it.

volkin i feel like try covering new games like path of exile 2 when it comes out and you should try warframe that game is 10 years ++ good community a lot of end game content will be happy to see you playing warframe or first descendent when it comes out this july.
I agree. I wont watch any of the drama stuff. I cant be bothered to care about any of it. Im also tired of the hoyo model. 2 weeks of content at launch then one week of content once a year and it relies on events outside of that. New characters are NOT new content for most of us. I hate dailys and events. Where im forced into logging on for a few minutes every day doing menial tasks.
Stick to what you enjoy doing. Viewers can tell when content creators start hating what theyre doing as well. Its not worth making yourself miserable over a few extra viewers.
Though a lot of us aren't CC, I know that feeling of playing a new gacha game for a couple weeks and not having that much fun at that point. Years ago, I was always excited to play and stick with it. But I went to PGR last month after stop playing after a month of launch and I'm having fun.
I don't like people haveing both Jiyan and Yinlin together. I fking tried so hard to get them both saving each chest reward bit by bit until I saved enough for pull and it gets only freaking pity.

I feel much the same. I like wuthering waves but as I only have my phone, it's really hard to play it on phone. I'm also really excited for zenless zone zero!
Agreed that I’d also love a new summoners war style game. I usually play these games on my phone so all these big open world action games aren’t it for me personally
