Well considering I've seen multiple content creators say Wuthering Waves is falling off I don't think either of these games are going anywhere. It's still a 2 horse race in the Gacha scene and that's Genshin and HSR. This is just my "speculation" as pokke puts it, for ZZZ, if you're coming from WuWa or PGR and expecting an equal or better combat and gameplay experience, with the same level of depth, creativity, and player skill expression through combat as those games it's probably gonna feel like having training wheels on in comparison, it'll be clean and polished but ultimately probably more restricted and grounded cause Hoyo loves their casuals.

I've never played a gacha game where the IP collabs were good. Even the Nier Automata collab for Nikke was just okay. I have both of them and they don't compete with the meta characters. Most collab characters that I've experienced in gacha games are just okay. IP collabs won't be enough to make a game better. They're just there as a bonus if anything.

Knowing your best available options whether it be to parry, dodge, or block at any given moment is also very crucial in fighting games, which I would describe like playing high speed chess in real time. Outside of fighting games, it's a feeling which can only be replicated on these single player games. By having the roundtable with the SF6 directors, ZZZ is probably trying to say "Hey, if you like fighting games and CAGs, chances are you're also gonna like our game".

Doesn't even have to be WuWa but (as far as I know) it is the closest to being a competitor right now. Quite a few people I know were planning to play Genshin but started playing WuWa instead, since they only have time for one such game. If enough people do that, then that's incentive for Hoyo to do more for Genshin.
I saw this video regarding a streamer who said Baldur's gate 3 should have won an award, and not GI or HSR. Didn't watch it fully, but that was the gist of it. I grew up with Devil May Cry, and some console games. I also play Hoyoverse games, but not all of it. Just enjoy the game if you find it good. The best game for me is Freedom Wars. It didn't get the hype it deserved, but I don't go around telling that this other game will fail. I would rather grind for materials. Time is precious.

Maybe it was a different game that was mentioned, but it doesn't matter as long as you get the gist. Out of curiosity, if a mobile game can be played in a PC or console, it cannot be categorized as a console game?
I don't know when a collab will help alot, especially since it probably won't have a new character because it's launching. I can give an opinion about this collab because it has already happened twice in another gacha i play, The Battle Cats, the collabs there are fun with the stages full of rewards and several units to use. And you can get at least one of the rarest (like the 5 stars in other games) with 100% on the final days of the collab. ( in a 11 roll, that is basically 10 roll plus 1 for the price of a 10 roll)
I hope ZZZ does overshadow WuWa. While I want the game to be successful, I just want everyone gone who just plays "the popular game" because everyone else does. That way the feedback to kuro actually reflects the people who actually like the game for what it is. As for ZZZ, I'll probably just roll for that maid and engineer chick in ZZZ before I quit. Collabs don't really tap into new players. It mainly just hypes up existing whales. Brave Frontier had a looooooot of collabs but those rarely drew in new players. I'd be very surprised if Street Fighter and ZZZ collab would break that trend
I think it's good. You can't take away anime fighting games like melty blood, grand blue versus. That are very popular in Japan. There are a couple others I play the ones listed so yah if you like anime games it may appeal to you.

I would say is valid. I know I for one have had little interesting in ZZZ and with WuWa, I am not sure I even am going to try it. This is coming from a day 1 Genshin player who has not missed more than 10 daily commissions since (at this point I literally only do daily commissions and main quest) and HSR since day 2.

Lemme explain why this wouldn't work from someone in the FGC (Fighting game Community) 1. Capcom fans ARE NORMIE AS FUCK. They call any style of game faster and wackier than SF as anime fighters already, and are still probs not interested in playing gachas in general when unless they already are interested. 2. FGC is all about a community wherein you play with each other and compete 1v1 and grow through that community. This is not a versus game and it's more action anime fighter which has a bad connotation to most FG players. 3. We've seen many gacha games based on FGs last short lives. This probs wouldn't make a splash to the actual players but rather the viewers instead and most are either uninterested bc it's not an FG or already play gachas. unless we're seeing the characters in the actual FG, the FGC isn't that interested unless the games mechanics are complex enough or they can apply FG tech. ...ironically, some FG players HAVE seen tech that they can apply in WuWa instead. Stuff like Kara cancels and Buffers and negative edge. These are concepts that you probs wouldn't know unless you play FGs and they work in WuWa in specific aspects

I've never played a gacha game where the IP collabs were good. Even the Nier Automata collab for Nikke was just okay. I have both of them and they don't compete with the meta characters. Most collab characters that I've experienced in gacha games are just okay. IP collabs won't be enough to make a game better. They're just there as a bonus if anything.

Quite a few people I know were planning to play Genshin but started playing WuWa instead, since they only have time for one such game. If enough people do that, then that's incentive for Hoyo to do more for Genshin.

I grew up with Devil May Cry, and some console games. I also play Hoyoverse games, but not all of it. Just enjoy the game if you find it good. The best game for me is Freedom Wars. It didn't get the hype it deserved, but I don't go around telling that this other game will fail. I would rather grind for materials. Time is precious.

I can give an opinion about this collab because it has already happened twice in another gacha i play, The Battle Cats, the collabs there are fun with the stages full of rewards and several units to use. And you can get at least one of the rarest (like the 5 stars in other games) with 100% on the final days of the collab. ( in a 11 roll, that is basically 10 roll plus 1 for the price of a 10 roll)

1. Capcom fans ARE NORMIE AS FUCK. They call any style of game faster and wackier than SF as anime fighters already, and are still probs not interested in playing gachas in general when unless they already are interested.
2. FGC is all about a community wherein you play with each other and compete 1v1 and grow through that community. This is not a versus game and it's more action anime fighter which has a bad connotation to most FG players.
3. We've seen many gacha games based on FGs last short lives. This probs wouldn't make a splash to the actual players but rather the viewers instead and most are either uninterested bc it's not an FG or already play gachas.
unless we're seeing the characters in the actual FG, the FGC isn't that interested unless the games mechanics are complex enough or they can apply FG tech.
...ironically, some FG players HAVE seen tech that they can apply in WuWa instead. Stuff like Kara cancels and Buffers and negative edge. These are concepts that you probs wouldn't know unless you play FGs and they work in WuWa in specific aspects
