Hi Caleb, quick tip: When navigating to "All Settings" from the quick settings pop-up menu at the bottom of the screen, you can press and hold the select button on the remote, and then move the "All Settings" selection all the way to the left of the menu, if you are a power user, which at this point, I think you are!
4:18 Hey Caleb, only the 43" and 50" models support up to 4k@144Hz on all ports; bigger model sizes are limited to 4k@120Hz. Otherwise, fantastic review!
This is true. Tiz why there's a much better manufacturer called LG . In fact samsung as of April this year conceded that LG won the oled game high end , and is now LITERALLY sourcing panels from them and focusing on image post processing and AI stuff.
Thanks for another great video, Caleb! To turn off auto play on the QN90C you need to follow these steps: Press the Home button on your remote and select Settings. Select General and then External Device Manager. Select Device Connect Manager and then Auto Run Last App. Turn off the Auto Run Last App option.
It’s a good feature to have with a ROKU stick. I bought the QN90B last week and the transition to this tv has been seamless, in part due to this feature.
You can also remove Samsung TV plus completely, if you try and uninstall the app, choose the disable option (not remove/uninstall). This will prevent it from being an option all together.

Just ordered the 85” QN90C today for $2399! $2549 shipped directly from Samsung! Went to Best Buy and after comparing to Sony X90L, TCL QM8 and Hisense U8K, that and you review helped me make a final decision. I went with SAMSUNG!

I’ve had the QN90C for about 6 weeks now. I love it. I’m impressed with the upscaling and extremely impressed with the off angle viewing. The black levels are great as well. I’ve heard the brightness wasn’t that great but this tv is plenty bright.
@calgary2800 as I just bought, a day ago, I simply have film mode as set up, the remaining set up is out of the box. Please, if you have any suggestions, share with me. Especially for the white colour, is really too much. Shirts look like angels wings !

Well it's one sided , samsung doesn't do dolby vision period .... because samsung would have to pay licensing fees - samsung like apple wants folks to pay them for features , not the other way around . Plain and simple.
I got last year's QN90B on sale and when I plugged it up the brightness was crazy! even on the lowest settings. I did compare my TV to the QN90C but I wasn't convinced. After watching this review am sure now I made the right choice! While this TV has some highlights Last year's QN90B is still a banger for me, and anyone who wants a Samsung will be happy with it!
I’m still an owner on the QN90A & besides being limited to only one 4K, 120 hz hdmi port I’ve still been incredibly happy with the tv the past couple years for gaming and media.
Here it is January 2024 and I can now get this TV for $2080 in the 85" size directly from Samsung. 100% buying it this year. Best bang for the buck by far out of any TV out there.
Omg!! Thank you sooooooo much for doing this review!!!! I’ve spent hours and hours researching what 65” to go to from the 50” Q60 and what sound system I plan to purchase with the 65”. I was already sold on the QN90B but your reviews helped me understand the other options out there like the LG G3 or OLED route, etc!! You really seem to know what your audience is looking for! Decided to wait and get the QN90C when it comes down in price. I figured out that as the main tv, OLED might not be the best choice due to too many hours being used. :)

Thank you we just got our QN90c today, they will come and install it and set it up for us and even take the old one out. So glad I saw your video and you convinced me that it was an all around pretty good tv. It was on sale for 2100$ plus tax plus extra warranty plus setup and delivery because it is a bit heavy for us to carry ourselves.
@@BrownskinB7777 We like it, the sound was not that great but okay and we got a soundbar installed and I actually liked the sound of the samsung better than the soundbar, the only thing with the soundbar was that the sound could be louder which we did not need, might be good for gamers or music people but not for us.
Everyone keeps talking about the QN95C but it is not available directly from Samsung or Bestbuy in North America. Being that it’s July, I don’t think they are going to mass release this TV in the US (just to select retailers).Seems to me by default the QN90C is Samsungs 4k flagship this year.
I noticed that too. The Sony X95L is hard to find as well & only comes in a 85” size. I feel like North America is really getting shortchanged this year.
Whats your opinion on the ADS panel compared to its smaller brother with VA? The QN90C at 43" and 50" feature VA pannels, from 55" and upwards they are ADS. Both sizes catter to me, my question is, based on the panel performance alone, which would be more desireable? i can't decide

Hi Caleb how are you doing tonight? So my 75" Samsung QN90C TV just in a couple days Ago and I have hit the Panel Lottery. I got they Perfect Panel. I have absolutely No Blooming and Absolutely No DSE!!
This guy is becoming one of my favorite TV reviewers to watch because he strikes a good balance between the technical and the easy to understand without being too technical. He's funny too :-). My only wish is that he would expand what he shows to go beyond the purists and their director's intent and show what the TV can do for the 95% of the buying population that prefers what just looks good versus what looks accurate. I want to see just how vibrant and wide the colors can get, I want to see how bright it can get and still retain details in the blacks on other modes besides filmaker and movie. I want to see a comparison with the QN95C, the Sony X95L, and the Sony X93L, as well as TCL QM8 and Hicense 8 series so we can really see if the price differences are worth the incremental improvements. He alluded to that with the TCL which helped me eliminate that from my choice as upscaling and motion are extremely important to me. I'd also like to see more gaming in action. It would also be cool if he made a video showing since let's say 2018 or so, how the picture improvements have progressed over time with a specific manufacturer, that way people with older sets (5 years+) can decide if its really time to upgrade or not. Anyway, another great video and helps with my research.
Folks. I own the QN95C, got it for 120K (INR, please convert for September 2024). It's beautiful. Trust me, I've seen it next to an OLED and it's still my preferred choice. The blooming is well within control and you can tweak the settings to please your eyes. Color accuracy in the end is very subjective as you would rather watch what your eyes like. Film maker mode was very close to my calibrated settings using Samsung smart things and an S series device (borrow from your friends if needed, it's worth it). The calibration from that blows away anything in the price range and I'd take this over the OLED. It's accurate if you're into it but it's more about your eyes and how you're pleased. Most of us are not good enough to judge colour accuracy and don't have high end calibration equipment. Go for this and enjoy brighter HDR and no OLED burn in (it's magical).
I just finished purchasing the QN90C based on this review and your other review on the Best of 2023 QLED’s & OLED’s. I purchased the 75” and I’m sitting about 10ft away and it’s perfect. If you do an 85”… make sure you dedicate an entire wall for the tv because if you don’t and the wall is cluttered… it will kill the entire look. Good Luck!👍
@@keithzastrow 17 is pretty far, I would be looking at a 98. Its going to be very expensive unless you go TCL or Hisense in the big sizes. You get use to tv size very very fast. My 85 seems normal size now from 7 to 10 away
@calgary2800 Thanks but where my TV goes there is no way anything larger than an 85" will even fit. Stairs are to the left and a hallway is to the right of the wall the TV is on. I've had a 65" there now since like 2008 so I'm pretty sure I'll be more than happy with an 85".

QN90C 43 inch and 50 inch are VA panels. Please make a side by side comparison with U8K in the future. Because according to Quantum TV, Hisense U8K's black level is the best like almost OLED, and blooming is almost zero.
Please, please, NEVER listen to a word quantum says. He is quite possibly the most toxic , lying , vindictive youtuber period. Just type in his name on youtube and look at all the videos calling out his lies. Ive been on to him since 2017 when he started claiming vincent teoh from hdtvtest was a homosexual fraud, his words. He called mr fomo a satan worshipper and quantum just landed himself in jail for something he did to his his ex wife. You can look all this up, as his name is on many of the call out videos. Honestly, if he just told the truth , I wouldnt pay any mind to the drama. but he lies non stop. His master calibrator claim is beyond ridiculous as he will calibrate your tv without ever seeing it.
Hi Caleb, you stated that the QN90C doesn’t have the same anti glare panel tech. Does it have any replacement tech that will improve glare. I ask because retailers & Samsung still boast a anti glare technology? If you or any of your followers can help if appropriate it.
I can not imagine the picture quality being better than my Q80A. Only paid $800usd refurbished for 75" of QLED goodness. I am using a 2.1 Klipsch PC speaker system with it and I think I could not have gotten a better deal and\or solution at this price point. Wobble is not an issue because it is wall mounted. Viewing angles are never a problem. Thanks for the review. I enjoyed it.
At 12:19 you can clearly see that is the QN90C and yet the website still mentions the anti-glare with ultra viewing angle tech...? I thought this was specifically the feature that caused the rainbows on the QN90B? What gives? Website wrong?
That is a good price for a used one in excellent condition! But why 55”, when everyone is going big! I feel like the norm is now at 65” and up… unless you don’t have the space. I was going to get a 65” and I changed my mind last minute and got the 75” and I’m so glad I did!
Yup, I've them both myself and 90C all the way if you don't have the 90B. Wouldn't be much of an upgrade unless you absolutely need to have the better TV!
@@KC-lg8qf when I had the tv in my basement home theater room I noticed a small bit of rainbow effect on the right upper corner when I had the lights on and it didn’t overly bother me. Hello Kaleb, just purchased the Samsung QN90C 85". Was wondering if you best settings for this tv. From what I'be seen so far grass is like neon green as well as Reds. Too vibrant!

How does the QN90C compare to the Sony X90L? Technically, the QN90C is supposed to be better, mini-led. But picture quality wise, in some forums I've read, it seems to compare to the X90L full array. Also price-wise it compares more to the X90L than the min-led X93L. For purchase, how would you decide between the QN90C and the X90L ?
@Caleb_Denison , So then we know you thought it its out performs the Hisense U8k and the TCL Q8M by a little, but you ended up saying the same things about the Sony 85" XR-x90L in the end even though you were expecting to rip that tv. So which is the choice between the 85" Sony XR-x90L and the QN90C? It seems there are trade-offs, but curious of your opinion given there is a $300 -$600 price difference at the moment
Thanx as always. Did I understand that the TV opens to the Samsung Home menu on powerup and there's no way to reassign that to a specific HDMI port? That'd be a real deal breaker.
Very good review which I certainly gained alot of info. I am concerned with the audio for samsung on the qn90 c though. You are the 2nd reviewer that really recommends the samsung sound bar for the tv. I have a Vizio 65 inch and the sound is fine but I wonder if the samsung will be as good without the sound bar.
Love to see a compare against the next level down... the QN85C if anyone has a link. It is 1/2024 and I'm waiting to see if these go on clearance sale soon (Supper Bowl time). Is the QN95C worth the extra (~$400 for the 75" right now)?
Hi Caleb, My first time watching, and excellent video. Won’t be my last day either. What do you think of this TV compared to the Samsung Q8FN? I’m having a very hard time trying to decide whether to pick up this TV NEW in a 65 inch Or the Q8FN Used in a 75 inch TV. Both are in the same price range, what’s your opinion on the two?
@loki76 in Canada the 75 ich 90c is 4600 while the 85c is 3000. That is more than 50%. The best price I have seen the 90c is 4000 while the lowest I've seen the 85c go for is 2500. Again, this is more than 50%.
@@metals1022 Well that is a big difference from last year. It was less gap. Maybe they are overcharging the Qn90C extra this year since they don't seem to ever bother releasing the QN95C as the "flagship". The 85C is a lot dimmer though.
Hello just wanted to get your opinion on the open box floor model T.V I bought a 65” QLED Q80C from Best Buy for $675 Presuming that this TV was on for at least 5,000 hours for an entire year AND has minor damage to the back panel Was it worth buying for the price?? My second question is how would you compare this model to the Q80C 2023 model?? The only difference between the two I’ve noticed was the 4 vs 2 speakers and the picture quality enhancement Q80C has Quantum HDR 4X vs the Q90C with just the Quantum HDR. The third question is For $119 more with the same quality of an open-display TV with the QN90C presumably with the price tag, is it worth upgrading it for 119 dollars more to trade the Q80C or should I just stick with the Q80C?? I would to hear your feedback. Thank you.
The best thing to do about the automatic start up channel is find a channel you like! new weather sports... I play pool and there's a pool channel!!!! so when I turn on my tv it goes to something I'm interested in!
Nice video. I am considering QN85C 75inch. I see a big difference in price for 75 inch between QN85C and QN90C. Is it worth spending more and get QN90C or QN85C is good enough? I believe there is no big difference. Please share your thoughts.
Given the choice which TV would you pick - the Sony X93L or the Samsung QN90C? Seems like the Sony would provide a bit better sound. Which TV offers the best picture and upscaling?
Thanks for the good and honest review. Actually to go to full menu without all the clicking, or settings you just tap the microphone button or say "hi Bixby, go to settings" , you can use Bixby to go to any settings quickly without going through the full menu options. Makes me wonder how long you had the TV for review.
Thank you. VA sucks. I really don't understand people who prefers VA. It's truly inferior in my eyes. This is why I prefer the 2023 model over the 2024 model
One thing thay drives me bananas about Samsung TV's is that they lean backwards when on the stand. If you have a look from the side, you'll see the top of the screen is in some cases almost 2" closer to the wall than the bottom. This directly affects the viewing angle IMO. Particularly if you're sitting relatively close to the TV as the screen is pointing over your head. Why do they do this???
You could always mount it on the wall at the viewing angle that you prefer. Another option is to purchase a high quality stand that connects to the back of the TV like a wall mount.
I couldn't find a direct samsung qn90c vs sony x93l comparison, as they are equally priced. I got the qn90c, but I'm a bit frustrated that the auto switching of the HDMI inputs is not auto switching very well or consistently between my Apple TV in HDMI2 and my TIVO in HDMI1. I had the Samsung tech support fine tune the Samsung hidden settings, but it didn't really help.
Hi Caleb, one thing the sales guys always rant about is longevity when it comes to TCL and Hisense. What do you have to say on that? It’s one thing to have comparable performance, but another thing to have a TV die (or become unwatchable) after 3-5 years.
I have a 5 year old TCL 6-series that’s still kicking. But outside of that anecdote, I would say to the salesman who says any product won’t last to wait until there is data supporting widespread failures of TVs less than 3 years old before making that claim. Also, the TVs are still new enough that I don’t think we could even have a decent sample size of that data. Also, also,: with the community being as vocal as it is on forums and in comment threads on platforms like this, would we not have hear of widespread premature failures? I haven’t yet. Also, also, also: I think there is merit to the notion that keeping a TV longer than 5 years is a practice in rapid decline. I’m not saying it SHOULD be that way, but it sure seems like the replacement or upgrade cycle is increasingly shortening.
@@Caleb_Denison Perhaps for those who have that kind of discretionary income. I know very few people that cycle through a TV that fast and can drop over a grand on a panel easily. I've had my 46" Samsung 8500 series since 2009. My parents have had a Panasonic plasma in their basement for about as long. I wonder if it's a generational thing combined with build quality. A lot of people seem to dump things as fast as the wind changes direction. I'd like to get a 65" NeoQLED (mini-LED or whatever the label of the week is) but that $1500-ish price tag is a deterrent. My 2009 panel ran me over $1800 back then but I guess now I'm not quite as motivated 😂🤣😂 these days as long as it keep working. I'm always wondering if something else will go sideways, like may be my car's transmission croaks a week after getting a TV. That repair money is gone but at least I can stream Netflix in 65 inches of glorious HDR 😂😂😂
Do I still need a firestick with a tv like this? I like to use Cinema HD. Can an app like that be added to the tv directly or again, would I need to keep using the Firestick?
Question : I just bought a 85" QN900C Neo QLED 8K Smart TV (2023) and used with a Mac mini 2023, M2, 1Tb, 32 ram as a media player. Few times the TV asked to prepare the best configuration for this arrangement. Afterwords I often experienced a black screen for few to five seconds very upsetting. Neither Samsung nor Apple took responsibility for this. After I adjusted the picture setting configuration and the power energy settings, the 8k configuration on Mac disappeared but also the irritating black screen. Now occasionally when I reconnect the mini hdmi cable with the tv hdmi, TV asks again to readjust its configuration with the Mac for the best possible picture. Should I do that again or stay away from it ? MUCH appreciate your input in this matter. Thank you …..
It's just checking the settings and capabilities of the equipment. If you want to choose your own settings, skip and set the capabilities within each piece as required. If you want it to choose for you you can let it configure it itself. The few seconds of black screen that you experienced, is the TV switching back to its default settings once it switches from the connected device it was previously using.
Thanks for the review. Overall would you go with this or the S95C? I will primarily be using it for gaming and movies, so low input lag is key. I've owned a few QLEDs before and been very happy but never owned an OLED. I understand they're typically not as bright. I want the best TV overall as far as picture quality, and performance. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
No rainbow effect coating, that alone is why I looking at one. The Q90T is purchased ruined a number of my lighting plans. Even very dimmed Edison lightbulbs cause rainbow patterns. I will take non wide angle view anyday of that coating.
Is the TV bright enough for outside? (I understand dust and other things - i'll have a cover) but i want to know if the image is too glossy and bright enough?
I’ve got a 15 year old Samsung plasma tv. Before that I spent five grand for a Panasonic plasma. The Panasonic lasted three years and went blank. I spent $800 for the Samsung. My days of shelling out thousands for a tv is over. I’m looking to buy something new, but it will absolutely have to cost under a grand.

I’ve had the QN90C for about 6 weeks now. I love it. I’m impressed with the upscaling and extremely impressed with the off angle viewing. The black levels are great as well. I’ve heard the brightness wasn’t that great but this tv is plenty bright.
I have my brightness set at 19 and it’s plenty bright
To me, it's even too much bright
@@gianpakasa What do you have the brightness set at?
@calgary2800 as I just bought, a day ago, I simply have film mode as set up, the remaining set up is out of the box. Please, if you have any suggestions, share with me. Especially for the white colour, is really too much. Shirts look like angels wings !
@@gianpakasa I have had mine for close to 3 months. I tried movie mode but now like standard mode better.
Brightness 18 to 19
Contrast 30
Sharpness 5
Color 25
Tint G/R in the middle
Auto clarity-Auto
Color Tone-Standard
Local Dimming-Standard
Contrast Enchancer-off
Auto HDR enchancer-on
I never noticed white being that white. Perhaps the film mode makes white stick out too much as everything else is tone down? For me movie mode was too dim.
All the pro reviewers like movie mode or Film mode but I like the extra pop of Standard mode.
I love my QN90C, such a beautiful image.

VA in all sizes in EU

i have the 75 inch qn90c and the picture is so beautiful, and it gets as bright as i could ever want. the reflection handling is top notch. the tizen os is actually very customizable, so with respect to caleb, don't let his assessment of the os steer you away from this great tv. for me, i don't feel like i've made any compromises.
Next time, would like to hear more about a sound bar addition. I absolutely agree that one is needed!!!

Hi,
I'm getting sony 65x90l and Samsung 65qn90c at same price so what do i choose for long term.
Great review thanks I'm trying to decide between this one or the Neo 8K QN800C in 75"
Have you tried Samsung's Smart Calibration feature and does it work in standard mode only or was it extended to other modes for this model?
As someone who's purchased 6-10 Samsung products I bought the Hisense.
We’re looking @ a 50” QN90C vs 48”C3. It will be used in a Living room with floor to ceiling side glass.
Caleb is it worth the premium over this years QN85C? They both are using ADS panels now. And last years QN85B got positive reviews.
Ads panels are the best .only downside to Samsung is them having motion smoothness even when off
I also saw another video on how to move each icon in the settings bar. Should be put in every setup and review video.

Is it worth paying 50% more than the qn85c? The 85c has a lower peak brightness and less zones, but otherwise the specs seem very similar.
Looks similar but in the Real tests note the absence of attenuation zones compared to the QN90C📺
The QN90C isn't 50% more in cost over QN85C. Not even close. It's usually just a few hundred dollars difference. The QN85C is notably dimmer.
Zone count is the same. QN85C would be more preferable due to lower price and high native contrast
@digitql trends what's the difference between qn 90C and qn 92C?
Hello just wanted to get your opinion on the open box floor model T.V
I bought a 65” QLED Q80C from Best Buy for $675
Presuming that this TV was on for at least 5,000 hours for an entire year AND has minor damage to the back panel
Was it worth buying for the price??
My second question is how would you compare this model to the Q80C 2023 model??
The only difference between the two I’ve noticed was the 4 vs 2 speakers and the picture quality enhancement Q80C has Quantum HDR 4X vs the Q90C with just the Quantum HDR.
The third question is
For $119 more with the same quality of an open-display TV with the QN90C presumably with the price tag, is it worth upgrading it for 119 dollars more to trade the Q80C or should I just stick with the Q80C??
I would to hear your feedback.

Given the choice which TV would you pick - the Sony X93L or the Samsung QN90C? Seems like the Sony would provide a bit better sound. Which TV offers the best picture and upscaling?
The Sony X93l is better, but I was able to get a QN90c for $1200 less at 85”. It’s not THAT much better, imo.
@@TheOtherOtherJoey The sony TV has its downsides too. I went for the QN90C too.
Great review. Please advise if you have done a QN95c review yet?
Thanks for the good and honest review. Actually to go to full menu without all the clicking, or settings you just tap the microphone button or say "hi Bixby, go to settings" , you can use Bixby to go to any settings quickly without going through the full menu options. Makes me wonder how long you had the TV for review.
I’ve had Samsung phones for years. Still wonder what Bixby is.
The colors on ADS/IPS look more vibrant than VA, that's for sure.
Thank you.
My Sony A8H does the same. Not good.
My guess is its for stability

Excellent. Thank you. It would be good to know about gaming.
Do I still need a firestick with a tv like this? I like to use Cinema HD. Can an app like that be added to the tv directly or again, would I need to keep using the Firestick?
You still need your fire stick because you can't add apps. Google operating system TVs will let you download and install apps.
Nice video! What wooden Tv cabinet are you using?
One thing you should add to your video is how hard it is to adjust the picture and you should avoid increasing the brightness as you adjust.
Can I use universal remote control instead the solar remote for this tv?
Caleb if u multiple clicks to access settop, just pin it in front.that will make ur life much easier and others who are watching this video
Any news on Qn90d 2024?
Thanks for the review. Overall would you go with this or the S95C? I will primarily be using it for gaming and movies, so low input lag is key. I've owned a few QLEDs before and been very happy but never owned an OLED. I understand they're typically not as bright. I want the best TV overall as far as picture quality, and performance. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Just bought in 85 size at 2599.00. Great set
I’m concerned with the stutter in low bit content. How does QN90C handle this? My wife likes streaming Lifetime and NCIS. Is this the TV for us?
No rainbow effect coating, that alone is why I looking at one. The Q90T is purchased ruined a number of my lighting plans. Even very dimmed Edison lightbulbs cause rainbow patterns. I will take non wide angle view anyday of that coating.
Is the TV bright enough for outside? (I understand dust and other things - i'll have a cover) but i want to know if the image is too glossy and bright enough?
Did you find the way to turn off tizen auto play ?
so you managed or not to insert the hdmi cable in the tv’s back path for the cable management ?
Can i set the tv to hmdi when power up? Or do i have to manually select hdmi every time turning it on?
Super funny in the beginning :D
Just bought the 65inch model for $1297 on Amazon, looks like a great value at this price
Hi, if I buy this TV and the Samsung 990C which don’t have HDMI2.1, how can I connect my PS5, apple TV4k, Cable Box etc and not miss out on the 2.1 features?
Can I just plug all of them to the TV first and then to the 990C or will I miss some features etc?
Lastly, can this TV Remote or the 990C remote control the TV+Soundbar+cable box???
I don’t want to use 2 remotes please
This tv does have hdmi 2.1. The 2023 version does have it.
Q90B .. B stands for 2022... C for 2023.
