Hey everyone! Thanks as always for all the great comments! As someone has pointed out, the Auto Mode didn’t trigger the Tv to cover BT. 2020, which I absolutely SHOULD have caught. But I was kinda flying since I had to wait for a replacement. With BT 2020 engaged it will cover in the 90s. I’ll go over this in the VS. with the G3!
One big problem with Samsung’s One Connect box is that at my new house that’s fairly higher-end, the wall for the TV is already pre-wired with HDMI 2.1 e-ARC inputs and power, so as much as I would love to get this TV it’s a no go for my installation - which sucks. Hopefully the Sony version is just all built-in like usual.
Hi, have you tried both tv's. samsung s95c and lg g3. In your opinion, which one is better uncalibrated out of the box, which one would you choose yourself?
Have you faced any issues with the One connet Box? The S95C is currently on Sale near me and i've been wanting an OLED for so long but i've read everywhere about Blackouts and sudden power-offs with the OCB.

Our verdict on the LG G3 vs. Samsung S95C duel A look at the final scores reveals: The LG G3 and the Samsung S95C lead the field of the best TVs and would win any other comparison with the competition. The differences between the two top models are minimal and the price for both is just under 3,000 euros. Even when it comes to picture quality, which is the decisive argument for many, the televisions are on par. So which TV is best for you depends a lot on your needs. If a well thought-out remote control for linear operation is important to you, we recommend the LG G3. The remote control of the Samsung S95C is designed for streaming and otherwise seems notchy. If you want to save on a soundbar for the time being, you will get better sound with the Samsung S95C. If you already own a soundbar that works with either the Q Symphony or WOW Orchestra, we recommend that you use the corresponding TV model. If you want to put the TV on a dresser, you will be happy with the stand of the Samsung TV. With the LG G3, you have to invest an additional 200 euros for a stand. It is exactly the opposite if you prefer wall mounting. The design of the LG G3 is precisely designed for this and includes everything that is necessary for perfect installation.
I've made my decision. The A95L will be too expensive for me and I was debating for a while between the G3 and the S95C. I decided to go with the 77' Samsung simply because of the versatility that the one connect box will provide for my living room setup. My current living room TV is a 55' Q6F from 2018 so I can't wait! 😊
I've got a Q8FN and never bother to update the Firmware. I heard Samsung would downgrade their older TVs picture quality through Firmware updates. Do you think this is the case?
@@vprrealtor6244 my KS9000was ruined through bad software updates, i had a path to get my money back and get a q8fn but i was lazy, your tv is a beast with like 90 percent t2020 coverage, never update it dude.
Your reviews are absolutely fantastic. There are so many points in this video that were really helpful. The extra attention detail, like panning the static and active is just second to none
The thing that blew me away about this tv was its viewing angles. I thought nothing could beat oled tv viewing angles but the qd oleds sh!t on every TV in this regard. I saw no noticeable degradation of brightness when looking at this tv from the side and because it’s so bright it really stands out next to any TV next to it (like at Best Buy or Costco). My biggest concern with Samsung TVs though, is its reliability and consistency in panel quality.
I still have a LG C2 42” for pc use, bought it the day it came out. Recently got calman home and calibrated every mode, i’m so happy with it except for one thing. I would love a 42” size pushing 1500+ nits as well. Would make a great gaming experience.
I have the first gen qd-oled from samsung. Absolutely love it. Not a fan of the user experience when it comes to Tizen. But, I don’t do much with it as far as swapping inputs or apps. It’s fantastic. The 2nd gen looks even sweeter!
It is time Simba. Im rocking a 43 Samsung from 2011. Thank you for the review. Needed to see this before clicking buy on the samsung store. My last hurdle is the wife ❤👀
Thanks DT. This year is the year I replace my 2018 LG C8 Oled. I am going to buy the Samsung S90C because it has an analogue out, so I can connect my subwoofer to it. Bravo Samsung for thinking about my needs! Currently, my work around is to use the optical out connected to an audio extractor. This barely works, because I can't control the subwoofer volume as I change the TV volume. That problem will finally be addressed. Again, bravo Samsung!
Was looking at this tv for black friday sale and wanted to check out some reviews first. Stumbled onto your channel and must say I'm impressed by your work. Great, great review. I will buy the TV today.
I actually had an LG E8 fall flat on its face after unboxing the top. Amazingly there was actually no discernible damage when I turned it on. It wasn't until a few years later that I noticed the bottom right corner now shows a bit of blotting... but it's only visible in certain conditions and it's so small that you can't really notice it. Basically the bottom right corner is a bit rounded instead of the sharp angle the other corners have. It's still going strong and I honestly don't think I need to upgrade this thing for a while longer. No burn-in yet! 😊
Just out of curiosity, what made you go for the E over the C or even better G? Just curious.. don't hear many people using the E series and always been a bit of an enigma.. I worked in richer sounds before covid and even then we barely seen the E series on display! Always aas the A,C,G series!
@@SSNebula I think they don't make them anymore but honestly it was price. If I remember correctly they were the same as the C series of that year but a bit slicker in style being a full slab of glass all the way to the base (it gives the unit a floating effect on the stand) and with better speakers. I got it for a good deal shortly after it came out because apparently they weren't moving. The only reason one would buy it is because of looks honestly. The C8 was technically the exact same unit otherwise. You can actually dump a C9 board on these to get full 4k 120Hz out of the panel via HDMI even! I think LG realized people weren't willing to pay a bit more just for looks and discontinued them because mine was cheaper than the C8 was at the time.
I was confused when you said Sony A95L but in the video somebody wrote Sony A97L 😊. Great review Caleb! Can't wait for the final Top 3 TV for this year to coming out.
As this video gets posted, here in the UK we were literally building our store demo 85" QN800C 8K. And again was initially dubious about the stand (same design as here) however it holds the weight beautifully, and what a great upgrade on the rear design for holding the One connect Box over 2022. 👏 Cannot wait to build the rest of this years lineups of TVs.
@DYAUS haven't seen one yet in the flesh. I imagine Samsung like most years have gone for an all in encompassing one Design for their 8K/S95C and QN95C.
@DYAUS and so was I when I said 8K. Which encompasses QN900C/QN800C and QN700C. The stand will be exactly the same as Caleb has built here as it was on our QN800C. Which to start with looks dubious but once stood up and built is soo solid. 👌
@@chris10053 sorry, didn't realize you were only referring to the stand. Yes you are correct, the stand is EXTREMELY nice and durable. Plus leaves room for a sound bar. But my 85QN900C is still not as bright as my 85X95K in the most accurate modes. I can make the Samsung ever so slightly brighter using things like, contrast enhancer, while in "active" tone mapping mode. But all that just to get the "extra" brightness, is strange. I do think it's great with black level and blooming, although still not quite as good as my Sony X95K. But either equal, or so close that I can't tell the difference. Where my Sony destroys the 900C is the motion. It's night and day. So weird that a TV HALF THE PRICE can match the Samsung in every aspect, yet beat it in other aspects.
i feel you when you said you can’t tell a difference with the dolby vision! i have a samsung and a hisense with dolby vision and watching disney+ marvel made content i would still pick the samsung despite no dolby vision because you get better brightness and a sharper overall picture!
i just looked at one of these in Best Buy today. 65 inch is definitely the sweet spot for me, for any model. but damn, i really want this OLED model. those colors and deep blacks are insane. this will be my first ever smart TV for when i move into my own apartment at the end of the year.
Great review! I’m looking forward to see how the A95L compares, if it really reaches 2000 nits (Sony did claim 100% brightness increase in their marketing), then I’m gonna be really tempted to replace my LG G2!
Finally! Some rationality! Why should ANY TV (consumer grade) not include all the formats? LG. Sony, Panasonic.. all have DV.. I honestly prefer DV for TV content and HDR10 for gaming so I guess C and G2 will do until Samsung or someone else brings along a TV that's all bells and whistles!.
I love the way you do what you do..."review consumer electronics!". When it comes to OLED dispays can you and the guy helping you wear some gloves please. I feel uncomfortable watching finger prints and smudges when you bring out the brand new displays out of the box lol. This comment coming from a person who has OCD can be completely ignored however haha! Keep up the good work Caleb...
After seeing Stop the FOMO prove that there was little to no difference between Dolby Vision and HDR10+, this TV is definitely going to be my choice. Q Symphony helps with the decision also..
There is 1 major difference in that Dolby Vision is the universal standard used by virtually all the studios and streaming services, whereas HDR10+ is hardly used by any of them (Amazon Prime Video being a rare exception). So more often than not, your choice would be between DV if you go with other major brands, and nothing if you go with Samsung. 🤨
@@Noneya5555 It doesn't matter. HDR10 (non-plus) with active tone mapping *can* be better than native DV. That was the point of the Fomo video. Unless you are pixel peeping, pausing every frame to do side by side comparisons, you should not notice a difference between them.
Would love to see how it compares to the G3 and A95L. Good to see they added static hdr. Now nets hope they will get 34" gen2 panels soon. And I hope they will make 83/85% screens in the near future. I would like Sony 83/85 A95M
From my perspective (in the UK anyway), I’m really hoping that Phillips (which is evaluating QD-OLED) takes this technology on as a consumer set. From my perspective, Phillips will offer all HDR formats as well as their brilliant Ambilight technology as well as its competitive pricing. I’m thinking that MLA will need to be made available at a lower price on LG’s C series to really bring it into the mainstream. Should that be the case, it’ll give QD-OLED a real run for it’s money.
@@jasmadahar9089 The money is in affordable sets right now. I hear much of the budget stuff from brands like TCL is killing it in sales when compared to these 4k costing TVs
I got this TV and can't agree more with your review, this TV it's a treat, I'm impress on how punchy, vivid and bright the TV is, viewing angle it's amazing, gaming it's a delight, even the kids loved this, I had to watch Moana around 100 times on my older TV but with this TV Te Ka scenes are something else (the reds and black looked so wow) we are all super happy (even wife changed her mind from "too expensive" to "wow you were right, it was really worth it"), on the downside Tizen is not my favorite a few apps I can't find and old shows like Seinfeld on Netflix looked terrible (maybe I need to change settings but not sure how), sound is not really a problem since we see movies only after getting our kids to bed with modest volume and then play games with gaming headsets, so this fits all my needs. P.S. For installation I recommend watching tutorials on UA-cam. The base is heavy and not easy to assemble, but one connect box is very worth it. I was able to get the 55' for 1.3k around $700 less than Sony 55X90L so I think this was the best for her value
Have you faced any issues with the One connet Box? The S95C is currently on Sale near me and i've been wanting an OLED for so long but i've read everywhere about Blackouts and sudden power-offs with the OCB.
@@sergiol8801 one year of use and so far zero issues with the connect box, I love that all the wired can be hidden and you just send one cable to the tv on the wall, I got the 55' for $1.3~ and it worth every penny, like I said only down side is tyzen ios and no dolby which is not a problem if you get a chromecast/or firestick and a good sound bar
The limited brightness may also be due to a lack of an actual heatsink. I think they advertised this year that theres a graphite heatsink but from what ive seen people think its marketing talk for their thermal pad they had last year. Maybe sony a95l has a chance of hitting those peak nits because of the heatsink and because they tamed the brightness on the a95k. Also i went to my local electronics store and was talking with the staff in there and they were saying they had a lot more people bring in there s95B with burn in than A95k or G2 owners. So thats why they kept recommending the other OLEDs to people. But it is still a great TV. Would love a comparison between the s95C and A95L or even s95b and a95k to show whether dolby vision is a big deal though because from Stop the Fomo vid there didnt seem a big difference. But not a lot of recent content showing the difference in todays market
So funny! Thank you for your review! - No Dolby Vision, - No DTS - No 85” unfortunately when will Samsung get with the program. Will you compare it to the G3?
Hey Caleb great video, im obsessing over buying this tv but im on a budget atm lol, is Samsung coming up with more qd oled tvs in this size and maybe even better ones?
As always great content... Here is an idea though ... What about a revisit of older flagship tvs and how do they stand in todays market ... For example the 2020 samsung QE65Q95T... And how does it fare today ... And what would be the equivalent tvs that you could get today, that would match it or surpass it in the budget category, if any .... That would be great for people that would either looking to get a bargain on an older model or people that are looking to upgrade and would like to see from where in the line up should start looking in order for their upgrade to make sense .... Just an idea ...😉 Keep up the good work both in reviews and weight loss 😉🤘👏
Sounds amazing. Caleb, appreciate your humor and hard work on this. That said, I hope it's not being overhyped like the previous version. I'm wondering what the Sony A95L will have to offer over this? Will it's tendency to have superior color accuracy be enough? Looking forward to it. Obviously Sony will have Dolby Vision but will it's gaming features be lacking in any way comparatively?
I have the s95b and it is an amazing TV. Deep inky blacks, vibrant colors, easily the best TV I’ve ever owned. And I like that the 4 HDMI ports are built in and there’s no one connect box. Once you go OLED you can’t go back.
Hi, may I know how long have you had your TV? Do you watch content with logo or static image? Has your TV experience any burn-in/image retention yet? Just saw Rting review and kinda makes me not wanting to get that since I want to keep my TV for at least 5 years.
@@halo-halo9244 I use the 65” tv like a tv. I watch all sorts of content including news with logos, sports, movies, shows, UA-cam videos, ps5 games. Zero burn in from what I can tell. It’s been about 7-8 months. My panel came on a truck and it wasn’t bent whatsoever. I didn’t even know about the controversy with the firmware or bent panels and now burn in at the time of purchase. I would suggest to go give the s95b a look in person and the c2/c3 and proceed from there. But in my experience I am glad with my purchase.
@@j340_official I've seen the C2 in person next to a QN95B and I much prefer a QN95B but the S95B came in a few month ago in my place and now they are selling it for half the original price since the new models just came in and was thinking of either going with the S95B or QN95B just so I won't need to baby my TV since I watch cable TV with logo in for 4-5 hours a day. But if that's not an issue then I guess I can go with the S95B specially with the half price now. Thanks for the answer!
huh! Didn't know you could act Caleb and yes you do suit the zipper lol! another great review from the best guy in the business keep up the great mate!
Caleb can you please do some extensive testing on the earc … the rumbling in the forums suggest the s95c has earc issues … cutouts , lip sync issues … sound is such an important part of the cinematic experience and I have over 2k worth of sonos audio speakers .. would love to know for sure what’s going on there before buying a 4500 dollar tv thanks !
A Best Buy salesman just talked me into buying the S95. When he and another associate brought the TV outside to me I noticed the box said S94. He said it's the same TV, just the 2023 model. So he talked me into a TV with over a thousand positive reviews then brought me a TV with literally only one positive review. Apparently this S94 doesn't have Bluetooth so you wouldn't be able to watch this TV with a wireless headset but I'm not concerned about that. What sold me on the S95 is how bright the screen is. I could have purchased a similar LG for about $300 cheaper but it was a little bit dimmer and I was impressed with the brightness of the S95. Unfortunately there hasn't been anybody to do a full review of the S94 so I'm uncertain if I want to take it out of the box.
75% 2020 is if you are using DCI-P3 mode (or auto which remains broken), if you move to BT2020 you would get around 90% Also the little packing bumpers were on my S95B so not new for this year.
To be fair their 8K Neo QLEDs are also great. They had punchier colors, brighter details, more HDR impact, better upscaling capability, with OLED-like contrast and black level. There's a little bit of blooming and DSE because it's basically still an LCD but a very very advanced one.
You are incorrect on several points. Samsung Oled has superior Color Gamut and Color Volume vs any Samsung Qled model or any other Qled for that matter. Also Samsung Oled definitely has much brighter specular highlights because no LCD as of today can reach that small level detail. Even a good lcd at best has a couple thousand dimming zones, Oled has millions of pixels that each illuminate…….. The only real advantage of the 8K model is overall brightness and of course less likely to burn in, that’s about it. Even a 4k QD-Oled is sharper than a Samsung 8K, because of the pixel structure. I suggest not to post if you’re rally uniformed on what you’re speaking of. I own a Samsung 8K 85” and an Lg Oled 65” and soon upgrading to 77”.
@J Frank j frank sorry you're so grumpy about an opinion, but you're completely wrong on a few points. Contrast is AMAZING! NOT QD-OLED amazing, but very very very very, very close!!! Blacks are inky black. To my eye, not as black as my 85X95K but almost identical. But the POP it provides especially in HDR with 2100 nits 10% screen, yeah its bright. Of course that is with enhancements like, contrast enchancer, and "active" tone mapping turned on, but this thing looks unrivaled in a lot of ways compared to OLED. Even the newest QD-OLED.
@nhac lly of course. I do think the 900C is good for gaming, ACTUALLY AMAZING for gaming. I don't know about the 800C especially at the 85 inch size. Because it's a different panel type, (ADS/IPS) but I'm sure it's comparable. My 900C has NO DSE AT ALL! But it is dimmer then my 85X95K in all the most accurate modes. Meaning, WITHOUT using CE.
Had the 85" X95K, wasn't impressed, took it back and purchased the QN900B, wich to me, is miles better, absolutely love the unrivaled 8K upscaling it provides for my 4K Ultra Blu-ray's, with that said, my S95C has better contrast, depth, and punch than any Mini or Quantum LED. But that 8K detail is no joke...
Doesn't the one connect cable always carries power to the panel? My old 2018 Samsung with the super thin cable sure does. I love it. LG should really copy that, actually everyone should do it.
Lol love that beginning. Loads of pesonality in your videos Caleb...awesome! So heres my thing, and im quite sure im not alone here....is it better than the G3?? And with Samsung even pushing the QN95C on me...how does the QN95C compare here?
I would say Samsung pegged back the brightness to reduce the chance of screenburn and to help with panel life. It might also allow them to bring out the 2024 TV with "extra brightness" using the same panel!
@@RealArtVandelay Not as such. The S95C panel can go up to 1800-2000 nits from factory. Obviously running at that may affect panel life and accuracy. So although brighter than the S95B, it could go higher.
Saw it in a showroom, yes the picture is amazing. One thing... LG's design is much better, especially the thinness and back-design, but the picture on this one is jaw dropping.
absolutely not. At the foot of the LG is the electronic circuit board, which means that it's just thin at the top of the screen. With Samsung it's an external case (one Connect) so the screen is thin from top to bottom. Unlike LG, it will be stuck to the wall when wall-mounted.
I've now watched about 15 of your videos, both recommended by you and by Google's algorithm. Not once was I recommended a video that was what I am looking for today. Which is a much smaller TV; in the 40-45 inch range with all your normal commentary. Where are all your modern day small TV reviews? Edit: I should add that I'm looking for non-OLED TV's.
I’m going to buy the Samsung 55” S95c. Best can still get me one though Samsung direct provided I place the order before the 15th of this month. My question is do you still stand behind your comment that this model is the very best OLED model they’ve ever made. I’ve watched your review of this model several times
First and foremost, the intro was hilarious. In the next few weeks I’ll have the same conversation with my C2. Any idea if and when you will do a video comparison the S95C to the G3? I am truly in the fence with these two. I don’t like that Samsung doesn’t support Dolly Vision but I also don’t like that the G3 doesn’t have a stand (which in essence makes it more expensive than the S95C).
If Samsung Electronics wanted to nerf the qdoled's peak brightness, then why did the sony qdoled model from last year have even less brightness than the s95b? Because the tv manufacturers likely knew that the "2000 nits" claim was bogus and could quickly lead to burn-in.
I am all over the place with my tv buying decision.. it's down to the G2, A95K, X95K, or this Samsung.. it's going to be ONNLLYY for gaming.. I went and looked today and was so impressed when I saw this Samsung.. the X95K looked alot better than I thought it would too.. such a difficult decision
Have a lg c series oled bought 3yrs ago, lg provided only 2 year warrenty, and once the warrenty was off the panel with one month, started showing black lines, permanently black portions from the top bezzel, horizontal white lines. When i called LG they said they can't do anything and I'll have to pay full for the service and the panel. And it was almost 80% of the price of the TV, so I'm now living with it until I've saved few more bucks to buy the Samsung qd-oled
Because of great discounts a few months back, I bought the S95B and am just as impressed with colour as Caleb….but…the Tizen system is extremely slow and somewhat buggy x the previous version in my Q80 is much better. Also, and as a first ever, I had to get on to the Samsung help line to do the initial set up - the S95B would not tune free to air digital broadcast channels. The tech person deleted the SamsungPlus system and magically I could tune channels. Samsung Plus is tenacious and reloads causing me to have to repeat the process a couple of times since then in order to fix similar issues. Samsung has some problems with the S95B operating system….perhaps now fixed? Anyway, a magical TV.
Have you faced any issues with the One connet Box? The S95C is currently on Sale near me and i've been wanting an OLED for so long but i've read everywhere about Blackouts and sudden power-offs with the OCB.
Late to the comment party. Regarding Dolby Vision, I've always "heard" that it matters, but only to a point. That if a display can get bright enough to HDR10 levels then the benefits of DV are almost zero. Is that true? At what point does the per-frame metadata stop mattering? Or is there more to it than just brightness? I'd love an explainer on this and other "when should I care about xxxx feature" video.
I finally caved in and going to get this. it's 1k or even 1500$ more than i'd like to spend but much of the other stuff at like 2500 77inch, I'd probably end up regretting later. I think the fact this tv pops colors a lot would make it good for gaming and anime

Its a great review. That said I have a Yamaha amp/Kef speaker system and would never use the speakers on this TV. Will you ever do a review of the S90C and or a comparison between the two Samsung OLEDS? I cannot be the only one in this situation.
Caleb is getting 1550 nits vs 1350 nits from retail buyers. Anyone else getting close to Caleb’s panel? That level of brightness variation is not a Golden Sample, that’s straight up reviewer manipulation by Samsung.

As always, great review. Any plans on doing a 77" S90C review? The 77" has the same panel as the S95C and is $1000 cheaper. Thanks.
I still have a LG C2 42” for pc use, bought it the day it came out.
Recently got calman home and calibrated every mode, i’m so happy with it except for one thing.
I would love a 42” size pushing 1500+ nits as well.
Would make a great gaming experience.
Please Caleb, do review the S90C. Just bought it a few weeks ago, and I'd love watching you reviewing it. In the meantime, this helps :)
Oh, I plan on it! QN90C first, then S90C! 🎉🎉🎉
I have the first gen qd-oled from samsung. Absolutely love it. Not a fan of the user experience when it comes to Tizen. But, I don’t do much with it as far as swapping inputs or apps.
It’s fantastic. The 2nd gen looks even sweeter!
Same thoughts exactly
Same, i just bought a Google TV dongle for it. My other TVs are Google/android TV so can’t go back to Tizen.
Ditto. I use an Apple TV instead
Just bought an s95b. C didn't innovate enough for me to justify the price difference

Still kinda early to be replaced
@@JustxLiving909 It's time DC. My beloved C8 suffers from the dreaded green blob. It's overdue time.
So dramatic! Haha love it, Caleb if I knew how, I'd enter you as my nomination for best newcomer in next year's PrimeTime EMMYs, bravo!
Was looking at this tv for black friday sale and wanted to check out some reviews first. Stumbled onto your channel and must say I'm impressed by your work. Great, great review. I will buy the TV today.
Great video. I'm looking forward to you comparing it with G3 and the future Sony.
With every video we inch closer to the myth, the legend, the fable, the lore that is the tale of the mystical X95L review.
Looks like the X93L will be part of that inching closer. It’s the first one Sony could send.
Lmao, I wouldn't even waste my time with tech that still uses backlighting and local dimming. Bring on the real Hotness, the A95L...
@@lammyjammer6670 fair enough! Didn't realise that never had hands on with the E series from LG
I just ordered myself a LG B2 OLED, the lack of reviews for the price of them blows my mind
What about the 900C?
@DYAUS haven't seen one yet in the flesh. I imagine Samsung like most years have gone for an all in encompassing one Design for their 8K/S95C and QN95C.
@@chris10053 I was referring to their FLAGSHIP QN900C. Not the 4K models, which are the QN95C AND QN90C.
You got me on the intro 😂 new to your channel. Liked and subscribed 😊Looking for a new TV so this video was helpful. Thanks
i feel you when you said you can’t tell a difference with the dolby vision! i have a samsung and a hisense with dolby vision and watching disney+ marvel made content i would still pick the samsung despite no dolby vision because you get better brightness and a sharper overall picture!
i just looked at one of these in Best Buy today.
New TV every year? Lucky!!!
@@shroey20 im still using my 2020 CX and have no plans on replacing it any time soon.
Great review. Unfortunately until Samsung supports Dolby Vision, it is not a brand I would consider buying
@@Noneya5555 pretty sure it reverts to standard HDR when there is no Dolby Vision support.
The difference is availability. Much more content and streaming services use DV.
@@Noneya5555 It doesn't matter. HDR10 (non-plus) with active tone mapping *can* be better than native DV. That was the point of the Fomo video. Unless you are pixel peeping, pausing every frame to do side by side comparisons, you should not notice a difference between them.
@@Noneya5555 hdr10+ on Disney +

What are you talking about? I've been watching Linus for over a decade and I didn't get any of those vibes.
Is not having dolby vision a deal breaker? You mentioned it a few times that it's a bummer, but worth going with the LG OLED instead?
Any plans to look at TCL C845 anytime soon? The Samsung S95C looks amazing but it’s wildly expensive…
They just reviewed its North American equivalent, the QM8

Would love a comparison view on the s90c vs the s95c
I knew where you were going with the beginning, but oh my goodness, that was hilarious!
I bought the S95B last year and I don’t regret it. The TV is still stunning. But the S95C looks like a solid upgrade.

75% 2020 is if you are using DCI-P3 mode (or auto which remains broken), if you move to BT2020 you would get around 90%
Also the little packing bumpers were on my S95B so not new for this year.
... yep, very true, even the previous S95B could reach around 90% in BT2020, the "auto" mode is broken, and has not yet been fixed by Samy ...
You’re right and I will mention that in the comparison!😅
I dream of a TV with a one connect cable.
Oh, and a room where I can lay everything out and just sit next to it and assemble in comfort😊
I am interested in the furniture the tv stands on. How can I find it?
That connect box is massive! 😮
The static hdr feature sounds great
You are No 1 in reviewing terms. Thanks.
Great review Caleb. Loving the comedic opening. Reminds me of Throttle House intros. Keep up the great work!
The main problem with global dimming LCD that it doesn't work well with games. People buy TV for multiple usage.
Sticking with my A95K for a few years yet. Watched Interstellar earlier and the image is astounding.

I would say Samsung pegged back the brightness to reduce the chance of screenburn and to help with panel life. It might also allow them to bring out the 2024 TV with "extra brightness" using the same panel!
Wait, they REDUCED the brightness ?? They said that they increased it by 30% ( the s95b has 0150 nits and the s95c has 1400)
@@RealArtVandelay Not as such. The S95C panel can go up to 1800-2000 nits from factory. Obviously running at that may affect panel life and accuracy. So although brighter than the S95B, it could go higher.
im grateful for this channel for sure
Saw it in a showroom, yes the picture is amazing. One thing... LG's design is much better, especially the thinness and back-design, but the picture on this one is jaw dropping.
absolutely not.
At the foot of the LG is the electronic circuit board, which means that it's just thin at the top of the screen.
With Samsung it's an external case (one Connect) so the screen is thin from top to bottom. Unlike LG, it will be stuck to the wall when wall-mounted.
You are the only reviewer to mention the lack of DTS on a TV this expensive is ridiculous.
I've now watched about 15 of your videos, both recommended by you and by Google's algorithm. Not once was I recommended a video that was what I am looking for today. Which is a much smaller TV; in the 40-45 inch range with all your normal commentary. Where are all your modern day small TV reviews?

Bingo.
Dare I say an Emmy nomination is in order Caleb????
But overbrightening in game mode actually does sound like a big deal for many people.
I think if people scream loud enough they'll fix it like they fixed the S95B which had overbrightened eotf for movie maker mode at launch.
Brilliant video it was the one I’ve been waiting for and it has confirmed for me my next TV.
Amazing video. Really learning a lot. So LG or samsung oled? I’m sure both are great.

Love the review. Caleb - You look gooood and healthy! Good for you sir
I would love to see more of the Samsung QN85C

Thank you for all the great reviews, I enjoy them very much. What are the videos that you're using in the Color segment (aroind 15:50)? Would love to check how they look on my old(er) Bravia.
Thank you.
What are thoughts about the s90c? Thank you
You should keep in mind that people with poor eyesight need lights on all the time. What tv's would be good for them? Also, how do you tell if TV upscaling is actually working?
wow o wow the drama who talked you into the opening ,,, yes i smiled
Its a great review. That said I have a Yamaha amp/Kef speaker system and would never use the speakers on this TV. Will you ever do a review of the S90C and or a comparison between the two Samsung OLEDS? I cannot be the only one in this situation.
Caleb is getting 1550 nits vs 1350 nits from retail buyers. Anyone else getting close to Caleb’s panel?
That level of brightness variation is not a Golden Sample, that’s straight up reviewer manipulation by Samsung.
