I used to rent this from Blockbuster often on weekends. Lots of nostalgia for this one and it's pretty decent to boot! Awesome review and great song at the end.
This was one of my favorite all time games for Sega Genesis. I don't think I beat the hard level without the game genie. This game was solid back in 1993. Oh yeah great music for the credits for this video.
4:15 - Seeing correctly-spelled, juvenile graffiti of the word "toys" is unsettling, in concept. Who was the occupant of this environment's level? Tommy the pinball wizard?
I remember this game! I think I still have a copy sitting around (along with McKids and both of those Chester Cheetah games). It was a bit weird and not necessarily the best, but it was fun in its own way and certainly won points for being unique and quirky. Oh, and I think that the "uncola" thing was a 7-Up slogan ("It's the Uncola!") if I remember correctly and also show my age... As for the "Virgin" thing, I always figured they were either referring to their company or my future; both are accurate enough.
Yeah the best thing about these branded games is the quirk factor. I don’t think there were any that were more than a 7/10 in terms of quality. Savvy companies eventually just learned to stick their logos in games that were already made I guess.
New sub here, I love your style and the amount of effort you put into those seamless special effects without making it cringy.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Hearing this makes those hours of working on seconds of footage worth it!
I played the hell out of this game as a kid on the genesis. The bonus stage music is hype as hell.

Thank you! I figured lots of folks only rented this one haha. Song turned out better than I expected too. Thanks for watching!
Same, it was great for just filling time on a weekend off of school
I need that ending music in my playlist, to entertain and confuse my friends
Haha well I might make a Spotify profile. I have 11 songs now! If I do I’ll let you know so you can go confuse your friends hah

Thank you! I was just goofing around and it turned into a song hahah. I also heard the Genesis version was more popular!
2:45 I Love how oblivious Cool Spot is, relative to his impending lawn-mower death.
I had a few animations to choose from and that one seemed more appropriate than Spot playing with a yoyo.
Love it!! One of my faves so far. The credit music is so good👍🏻
😬😬😬😬😬😬
I remember loving this game when I was younger. Looking back, what a fucking weird game.
It was what it was. Not sure why it was more popular than the one million other mascot platformers though.
Your songs are always revelatory. Until today, I hadn’t wondered about Cool Spot’s eyes, at all.
It’s funny what you notice when you spend a month obsessively playing a game :)

I’m gonna go with creepy clown.
6.9? Nice
What can I say? Spot’s a wild boy.
