I did consider mentioning that but ultimately if you’re bothering to do a time trial of Smokey and the Bandicoot you’re most likely capable of winning the race without too much trouble anyway. Still dumb though, you’re right
I'm not going to lie, I don't mind the Force of Nature Level. Maybe I should get myself checked out from my doctor ^^. Coral Canyon, oh my days, I can't with that level. Loved the video, keep it up buddy :)
I think the "joke" in Force of Nature's namesake is meant to be that Coco is the force of nature from having escaped the forces of nature themselves. Problem is they didn't commit on this theme both on the level AND on the game. It would've been an excellent idea that Coco escaped from all 4 elements in a chase section in each of her levels but only did so on two; Avalanche (Air) and Tsunami (Water), when i could've easily see something like a rock slide and a lava downpour used as a chase element. Then, once those 4 things are introduced, combine them all into one level. But no, i guess a level with infinitely copied and pasted Christmas trees was a better concept to them?
Another important thing to note about rush hour, the gimmik for the n verted version is that it's underwater. Walking underwater is super slow so it makes an already long level even longer! I really wanted the costume you get from this level and as you progress through the game the gem requirements for costumes get bigger and bigger so I was stuck playing this level for what felt like forever! Crash 4 has great level design but a lot of the optional objectives feel like they don't properly account for it. Like levels are so much longer and harder than past games but you still only get one life for time trials?!
Fun fact about the under water part: it’s literally just a screen filter + audio distorter and runs the game at like half speed. It doesn’t even actually simulate under water physics outside of maybe a very slight decrease in gravity, but not enough to actually matter for platforming

Great video. I can understand most of your opinions on these levels. Here are my views on some of these levels: - Cortex Power makes me lose brain cells. Mazes don't really have a place in Crash games. Plus I can't stand backtracing in Crash games (Crash 2 has more levels with backtracking though). At least the level is short. - Not a fan of Crashteroids either. I think That Sinking Feeling is worse though. The jeep's controls are absolutely awful (We went from the best kart racer ever to THIS? Really?) The music slaps though, and I actually got the platinum relic on the first attempt! - I can't say too much about Ghost Town, as I haven't played that level yet, but as I'm currently playing through Wrath of Cortex, I'll reach it eventually. As you mention, it's possible to beat it without pressing anything. They should've put some nitro crates that you have to tilt to avoid hitting. Otherwise the only 'challenge' is trying to hit the crates, except the nitro crates of course. - Haven't played Ice Station Bandicoot either, but I doubt I'll like it much, as it's a ripoff of Rings of Power, a level I already hate to begin with. The polar bear on the magic carpet is weird, but kinda funny to me (I like weird). - I'm not far enough into It's About Time to have experienced Rush Hour. I've not heard nice things about it though. But IAT is loaded with long-ass levels, which are not fun when trying to get every box when you're not allowed to die once. (I fucking hate the Perfect Relics!) - I kinda like Hot Coco; I like how open the level is, which makes it fun, particularly the relic, as you can figure out a route to take. I believe Eggipus Rex is the ONLY level with zero boxes. But I agree that the way you access it is fucking stupid. How am I supposed to know to be grabbed by a pterodactyl to reach the level? The one I need looks the same as the ones that abduct and kill Crash! - All I can really say about Force of Nature is, Solar Bowler should've been the level locked behind 25 relics in WOC, not this one. Solar Bowler's music alone makes it worth all that effort. My view towards Wrath of Cortex is similar to yours: I like the game and have had more fun with it than It's About Time (not kidding), but BOY does it have some terrible levels! Just 106% Wrath of Cortex and honestly it was soul destroying. Overall difficulty of the game isn’t made hard by the actual level design but the fact it’s just so unplayable with its age and mechanics. I must have relayed Smokey and the bandicoot and Force of Nature about 60 each to get all boxes. Never again
TBH, I’d much prefer Crashteroids over Mad Bombers, with having to shoot the two propellers off those constantly moving planes… And while Smokey and the Bandicoot sucks, the only credit I’d give it is the fact you can die in those pits unlike the motorcycle levels from Warped, cause imagine having to deal with the loading times just because you missed a crate…!
Interesting choices here are mine: I also haven’t played Titans or Mutant, but I’ve seen that it looks bad. 1. Seeing Double 2. Rush Hour 3. Ghost Town 4. Force of Nature 5. Coral Canyon 6. High Sea Hijinks 7. Snow Job 8. Hangin Out 9. Road Crash 10. Boiler Room of Doom
All of the motor cycle/ jet ski levels in crash 3 there's two levels were you get to ride the tiger there's like Three of each and the first two secret relic levels are just jet ski and motorcycle levels
Yeah crash bandicoot wrath of cortex is the worst crash bandicoot game not even close, it was so easy... and kinda reapetitive from the OG crash 3. I dont judge gameboy crash bandicoot games on levels and story because the device is way weaker and understandable why they are poorly executed. Second worst mind of mutants, it was so bad executed is not even funny... 100% that is SO BORING. I 100% every crash bandicoot game to be clear and beating crash bandicoot 1 the OG one is so satisfying as well the newer crash 4. I would say, wrath of cortex, mind of mutant, crash nitro kart, crash bandicoot 3 (that has so many cool stuff introduced but i still hate it) are the one i 100% and i feel NOT satisfied. My hate for relics are immense because they ruin the part and enjoyment of the platform and crash bandicoot 3 you were forced to collected to 100% and i HATE THAT. The best crash bandicoot game is crash bandicoot 2 the OG one (naughty dogs they did an amazing job with crash bandicoot in general except the relics on crash 3). Nothing is beating that, is SO GOOD that one. And for the rest are all great/good. Twinsanity is fantastic too especially in that period considering most of the bad crash bandicoot were from the universal studios. Beenox did well too, people that claim crash 4 to be too much hard i would say, im so happy seeing an hard platforming game because was challanging and rare seeing that. i really enjoy it a lot of that game too.
22:53 with this i can notice this guy just tries to make everything about the level bad, i mean, its a secret level, there would obvioulsy be a different way to access it
I’m not criticising the fact that it’s a secret level with a secret entrance. I’m criticising the secret entrance itself. There’s no way you’d ever be able to figure it out without looking it up. No one, accidentally or intentionally, is going to discover a secret level that requires you to collect 10 relics to unlock the secret entrance to Hang em High to get the yellow gem, then take the yellow gem path in Dino Might, and then get killed by a specific enemy that is in no way shape or form any different to any of the other enemies of the same kind, and do it without any other hints indicating that you should get killed by that particular enemy. No one could figure that out by themselves
Also, I really hate Piston It Away with getting that box gem. I already hate having to backtrack in Diggin It and Cold Hard Crash, but the fact that you gotta leave that one enemy alive and bounce off it with such timing to reach that height is a giant middle finger…
The fact that the _entirety_ of the top (bottom?) half of this list is comprised exclusively of Wrath of Cortex levels just goes to show how much of a raging dumpster fire that game was… and the saddest part is that there are even _more_ trash levels than just those. Coral Canyon for being the worst of WoC’s garbage underwater levels, Gold Rush for its agonizingly slow monkey bar segments and its questionable grasp of physics, Droid Void for _its_ agonizingly slow monkey bar segments and the mech suit that flat-out _doesn’t work_ half the time - any one of those could have easily made this list. The moral of the story: there’s a reason that Crash 4 pretends WoC never happened, and the rest of the gaming world should follow its lead.
Wrath of Cortex is half the list but I would still rather play that game than Titans or Mutant

No one could figure that out by themselves
why isn't that demonic nightmare level of cortex castle from crash 4 on the list
Suprised Rings of Power from warped didn’t make it. God-awful
I couldn’t justify it when Ice Station Bandicoot is so much worse
Spaced out on the list but not droid void? 😆
Hasn’t Wrath of Cortex suffered enough?!?!?!
Hello great reviev latest happy new year🎉
Also, I really hate Piston It Away with getting that box gem.
I already hate having to backtrack in Diggin It and Cold Hard Crash, but the fact that you gotta leave that one enemy alive and bounce off it with such timing to reach that height is a giant middle finger…
You don’t have to leave it alive, you can slide-jump-spin up the ledge :)
@ That’s another thing, how was anyone supposed to know that’s an actual thing? I bet that wasn’t even intentional in the first place.
how is cortex power even in this list, its a fking cool level
What ever happened to "How are you?"
That’s not how I roll
Rush hour isn’t that bad it’s different from the other levels and dengodile isn’t the slowest charechter towns is slower than him
The fact that the _entirety_ of the top (bottom?) half of this list is comprised exclusively of Wrath of Cortex levels just goes to show how much of a raging dumpster fire that game was… and the saddest part is that there are even _more_ trash levels than just those.
All racing levels are awful
the intro hello ???
What’s the matter?
Why the 5th crash game is the worst game
If you mean Wrath of Cortex, that's the 4th mainline Crash game, the 5th Crash game is Twinsanity
@firehedgehog1446 and even then, WOC is like the 6th game in the franchise because CTR and Bash dropped before it
@@BBK113 Well i'm talking just mainline, CTR & Bash are spin-off games
adolt edumacation 🤮
