Gwen's best work was with No Doubt!
No doubt
Agreed
She's really good in sublimes song saw red too
@@TheSpliffMaster thank you for proper representation Señor Spliff
wrong _ it was with sublime. I saw RED!
The song was written for the bass player after Gwen and him broke up.
All the songs were about Tony! Haha. They would say "Oh great, another song about Tony." and then for him to have to produce and play those songs over and over again!!!
The entire album is about her breakup with Tony....
A lot of the songs on that album were about their break up.
Like Fleetwood Mac 🤣
@@peggysullivan6760 you took the words right out of my "fingertips". 😆
Chris Rock said he loves this song so much that when it's playing in the car he won't get out until she hits those last "la la la la la's" LOL
Gwen was in a relationship with the bass player of No Doubt, broke up, wrote a song about it.... all the while both stayed in the band. Rough.
Just like Stevie Nicks. That's badass.
@@roxannemoser and nearly all the members of Fleetwood Mac
It was a love song mostly written by Gwen's brother and was more upbeat. When the bass player broke up with her, Gwen rewrote most of the lyrics to make it a sad song. It had a long incubation process both lyrically and musically.
oofer
She was so ahead of her time. She paved the way for others like Gaga, Fergie and others.
Hella good, just a girl, spiderwebs, and ex-girlfriend are great no doubt songs to check out
Yes to Hella Good!!!
Just a Girl too
Oh and Bathwater
This!
Dont forget Sunday Morning.
Gwen was such a breath of fresh air to the sweaty, leather, grunge-funk that was pervading rock when No Doubt released Tragic Kingdom in October of '95. "Just a Girl", "Spiderwebs", "Sunday Morning", "Hey You", "Excuse Me Mister". Such a good album. Sixteen million copies sold to date.
Awesome album!!!
I still cant believe some people dont know Gwen is from No Doubt lol They were HUGE in the 90s!! Tragic Kingdom is iconic.
Funny that you did not realize what an influence Gwen has had. Gwen's band. Gwen's garage. Gwen's music. Gwen's fashion (impecca ble). She be a genuine rock/pop/ska goddess. Goodness gracious, Leo.
I always liked her because even though she is pretty, she was kind of a badass. Amazingly fit and strong and a hell of a singer! Good role model for girls, as far as rockers go
Great role model!
yes i agree. This is a weird thing to say but she was also one of the very few women in pop business at that time to not get a her breasts enlarged and as a small chested woman I really appreciated that :D
@@livaugirard3383 I'm not small chested, but I still appreciated that a lot! Especially since I had young daughters at the time
I remember someone asking her if she worked out way back in the day, and she’s like she had to with all that energy she puts out on stage.
And she wore dickie pants the best
Originally her brother was in the band and he dragged her out to sing. She had no self confidence. Eventually the brother left the band to be an artist at Walt Disney World. A reluctant singer becomes a star and and figures out her own style. How to dress, how to dance, how to be comfortable in her own body. Just a girl next door. In a garage. It was great to see her transform! GIRL POWER
Gwen got put in the spotlight to sing after the original singer John Spence committed suicide
@@marylarrimore3950 yes that happened around 1988.I'm a big fan of the band & I use to be the type that I had to find out all facts about the bands I listened to
@@sombergirl2886 I totally LOVE how you sucked the wind out of this!
@@jeremylevie2263 just being honest
Eugch. I enjoy no doubt but "girl power" annoys me. I've never heard a guy say "boy power!" If you have power, just exist, stop trying to convince yourself.
Cuz I didn't feel old enough being 50. Now I have to realize that people have no idea Gwen started her career in No Doubt. Well played universe. Well played.
Lol funny and astute
@donereally my girlfriend's son is 19. He had the nerve to tell me that Migos are better thnt The Beatles.
I told him in the calmest voice I could muster. "Don't you ever in your natural life. Mention The Beatles and Migos in the same paragraph! Let alone sentence!" Then I advised him it would be best if he did not speak to me for a week.
@@Shockster151 OMG 😳 really? I thought my kids were the only clueless gen zs out there 😞 i hope n pray he was grounded 4ever...well i wouldve but that may be 2 harsh 4 some parents 🤷 mine already know 1st Dont talk bad about my husband (Eminem 😍), 2nd Dont even start 2 fix ur mouth like ur bout 2 tell me how much better music 2day is than music of the 60s-70s thru 2000 and 3rd if u wanna talk 2 me about fashion from the 60s-2000 +/- was ugly but whats going on 2day is all kinds of great ideas (wearing belts 2 hold their pants up but not tight enough 2 actually hold em up like wtf 😣) We Have Nothing 2 Talk About!!! Those r all my opinions of course 😀
YASSS No Doubt was my jams back in high school. I'm Just a Girl, Spiderwebs and probably my favourite is Sunday Morning 🥰
Spiderwebs was my favorite off that album, lol
@@ladyshar42 I just skimmed through the whole Tragic Kingdom playlist and listened to each song, soooo many songs I completely forgot about that are awesome. He needs to hear the whole album, I think he would love the ska punk vibe.
Spiderwebs please
Spiderwebs was their first huge hit.
I used spiderwebs as my outgoing message on my answering machine on my land line. LOL that don’t date me at all. Just a girl was and will always be on my get ready list!!! Hype!!
This was the most heartbreaking song. It was actually playing when my ex and I broke up and it destroys me even today, 20 years later...
This is the album that made them big. Try “Just a Girl”.
No Doubt was rock with a lot of SKA going on. "I'm Justa Girl" and "Spiderweb" are great!!!
... and she ain't no Holla Back Gurl!!
Love that the drummer is wearing a madness shirt.
@@antimatter2380 Madness T-shirt. Tutu. Nothing but a thong ... if even. That's how he rolls! 🤣
That entire album is a banger!!! Excellent suggestions for reactions.
I miss third wave ska. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
@@antimatter2380 I've got ONE. STEP. BEYOND. stuck in my head now! LOL
I absolutely loved the CD "Tragic Kingdom" when it first came out. Gwen Stefani is my spirit animal ❤️
Tragic Kingdom was the first CD I ever bought
I still have that CD :)
It still holds up. I've been listening to it a lot recently. I actually think it's their best album. They go through so many styles in one album.
Yes great album
Classic album, front to back.
This song was wrote by Gwen Stefani and talks about the end of her relationship with bassist Tony Kanal. On some interviews, she said that she cried a lot during this videoclip Record. It's a great song.
So, when i was a child... like 10 years old the album Tragic Kingdom came out. It was the first CD I ever owned. I was OBSESSED with Tony Kanal! Turns out. He and Gwen use to date & this song was written about him. 😭❤ I still, 27 years later have that CD and Still love this group lol
So... the guy in the red would have to sit and listen to her go over lyrics to this song knowing it was about him. Ouch!
Yep.... Half their songs were about him. 🤣🤣🤣 He had to have balls of steel to stay in that band lol.
@@MrGrifter123 Good thing he did, the bass lines are more than half the No Doubt's sound.
Very Fleetwood Mac
@@MrGrifter123 I'm sure the fat checks helped
@@MrGrifter123 He could not get mad when he was the one that dumped her. He said it hurt him then because he knew how bad he hurt her. How do you think he's feeling now?
Saw them live with Sublime and touring for this album. Killer performers, they left it all on stage! 🎸🎶
Did they do Saw Red together?
@@antimatter2380 You know they did 💋💋
Gwen did some of her best music with No Doubt ... poor ex boyfriend had to stand there and listen to her sing about their relationship .... the Girl Rocked
Her and Tony wrote alot of the songs together though, if I remember correctly .
Well, he was the one who broke up the relationship. So…
Al la Stevie Nicks
Just listen to the whole album Tragic Kingdom from start to finish. Every track is great.
Gwen & Eve did a song together called "Let Me Blow Your Mind." It's still on my playlist. Was that it?
No Doubt made big money back in the 90's. Their 1'st hit and video was called "I'm Just a Girl". She turned out to be way more than that. YAA!
Dude. Gwen is fire! Check out Ex Girlfriend and Just A Girl!!✌️😎
Yep, Gwen was way more than just a “Hollaback girl.” 😉 She was actually in a relationship with the (I believe) bass player as well- And you interpreted things correctly- She got more attention and.. no more.. beginning of the end..no doubt- 💜❤️✌️✨
Did you know Tony produced her solo albums until the last, This is what the truth feels like 5 plus yrs ago. No Doubt played till 2015 on Earth day in DC.
She was then, and still is a style maven. Sewed or altered all her stage outfits. Girls began bedazzling crop tops with their name, etc.
Man, Gwen was my style guru.
lol that mind blowing reaction when you realize Gwen Stefani was the lead singer of one of the biggest 90s punk bands ever lol I love it
I was like 11 years old when Tragic Kingdom was released in 1995. No Doubt was huge back then. This song is basically about the end of her relationship with their bassist, Tony Kanal.
And, they addressed her getting the majority of the attention in this video. She was with Gavin Rossdale of BUSH forever before Blake Shelton.
I saw both No Doubt and BUSH (with a ton of other groups) at Rockfest '97 at the Texas Motor Speedway. It was hot as balls, they were havin to hose the crowd down to try and keep people from overheatin, and over 100,000 people were present. Dennis Rodman walked in front of us and everyone lost their minds (again, it was 1997). Good times!
💖🌠💖
Oh yeah I was also around 10-11 . Totally my pre-teen jam...SPIDER WEB 🕷 🕸 😎
@@KarriSimone Yep. I must admit, though, that I was completely infatuated with Gavin Rossdale at that time, and my stupid, lil childish ass was "jealous" of Gwen for a while. 🤣 It took me a few years to truly appreciate her. Glad I grew outta that!
Same!!!!
It came out only a few months after I was born. LOL
@@RB01.10 Yeah, *The Oldness* has crept up on me. 👵🏻
The song that you looking for from her solo is "Hollaback"
Check out their song
"Its My Life".
The ‘Tragic Kingdom’ album was everything! You should also react to ‘Today’ or ‘Disarm’ by Smashing Pumpkins 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Another one of my favorite groups in my teens.
The tragic Kingdom album was the best album
💖Love Gwen.....She has one of those voices. You know it's her😁⭐💖
This song is a big thing even here in Chile 🇨🇱

Yes!!! No Doubt you won't react to Alanis Morristte "You Oughta Know" !!! (Uncensorded Version) SVP Come on Leo!!! Shout out from Nelly in Kingston Ontario
Gwen and Tony the bass player were boyfriend and girlfriend for years. She wrote this after they ended their relationship. What a great song. I just bought this record on vinyl yesterday.
"Where the hell the girl come from!?"
Dead. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I saw them in 1997 at The Gorge Amphitheater. It was the tour for this album (Tragic Kingdom), Weezer was the opening band. I think it was their first tour as the headliner. And I’m pretty sure they were just coming off their gig opening for Bush, where she met and started dating Gavin.
It
It was a great show! Often, when you see a young, new band, they are so raw and hungry, and they deliver an energy that tends to diminish over the years (aside from AC/DC). Gwen was climbing the scaffolding on the sides of the stage. She was 20/30 feet high, hanging on with on hand, holding the microphone with the other, as she sang.
My buddy was working security and Gwen actually noticed how many people he was pulling out of the front of the crowd and requested he be brought backstage so she could thank him.
Omg ..this song played all the time everywhere in mtv and all mucic channels and radios every f@cking day for a year in Greece... hugeeeeeeeee success all over the word..
LOVE Gwen Stefani and No Doubt! This brings me back to high school! You should also check out Spiderwebs by No Doubt. Gwen Stefani has always been great at crossing over into different genres but particularly with Dancehall and hip hop. She's amazing. YOU'RE amazing! I love watching your videos. They always put a smile on my face even when i'm having a crap day, so thank you!
Yes it is Gwen Stefani is a goddess. One of the greatest bands. No doubt, fall down that rabbit hole!
I got to see No Doubt on the Tragic Kingdom Tour at Red Rocks for one of my bff’s 16th b-day! One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to hundreds of concerts in my life! Thanks for this! I love seeing baby Gwen!!
Gwen is my ultimate girl crush! Saw them at the HFSTival at RFK Stadium in DC. If you have ever been to RFK it shook in the lower seats. No Doubt ROCKED! Her best music was in No Doubt. SKA in the early 90s. Amazing. There is nothing like Gwen.
From the mid-90's to about 10 years later, she and her man/ex were members of No Doubt!!
reviewing the history of No Doubt - the song "Cool" is also about the the ex-lovebirds
If you like her then look up her song that she had out in the mid 90’s with Eve..... I forgot the name of it but my goodness it was such a damn good song... And it put you in a good mood.... I loved it! 💕I also want to say I’m so glad that you have a reaction channel... I really enjoy watching you get into all different types of music..... Don’t forget to look up her and Eve together singing Blow your mind.... We appreciate you here in Nashville Tennessee..... God bless you and your family....💕💕
GWEN STEFANI WAS THE SHIT BACK IN THE DAY!!!!! Both in No Doubt and when she went solo. Possibly one of the most energetic stage performers, she could actually sing, gave GREAT music .... and drop dead gorgeous.
Spiderwebs, I'm Just A Girl, Hollaback Girl, What You For Waiting For, Rich Girl, Blow Your Mind (collaboration with Eve).
You were prolly thinking of her hit with Eve...Let Me Blow Your Mind or her big hit, Hollaback Girl.
You're thinking of "Hollaback Girl"
"Let me hear you say, this sh*t is bananas... B-A-N-A-N-A-S! 🍌
Few times I've been around that track
So it's not just gonna happen like that
'Cause I ain't no hollaback girl
I ain't no hollaback girl" 😂 🙌🏻
No Doubt was great, but can't deny that song was a bop.
Yaaaaaa 😀 i luv that song!!! I also luv n think hes thinking about "Blow Your Mind" by EVE ft Gwen 💯👏
"On sunday morning!!!" absolute tune.
No Doubt is BadArse !!!!! Gwen’s voice is madness... Love No Doubt !!!! Xoxo
Their whole Return of Saturn album is 👌🏼... one of those records that you don’t skip any songs.
That’s their best album!!! 💜💖💜💖
The best song Gwen Stefani ever did! One of my all time favorites ♥️
Oh man, I went to X Fest in Somerset Wisconsin in 96, at what I consider the height of Gwen's career! She climbed the scaffolding 50 feet up during "Spider Web", then the next band up was Korn, who I didn't really know until then. I left that concert with a solid boot print in my forehead from the mosh pit! Top 5 shows of my life! 😜 Gwen was at her best with No Doubt
My 1st concert was No Doubt ... I was 16. It was a local, small venue - before they were huge; and it was awesome!!
Placebo - Where Is My Mind (XFM live) pleaseeeee. Nice vid bro
Yep
Again haha
Será que o próximo vídeo vai ser react desse?
Fireeeeee
Yeaaaaaah
You need to give Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane a reaction. Scorpions were huge in the 80's and I haven't seen any reactions to them
Winds of Change... just sayin

@@dalehammers4425 was about to say Leo would most definitely FEEL Wind of Change. Talk about goosebumps!

No Doubt are an amazing 90s band.. more from them please:) so much to choose from really
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I lost my shit when you said I didn't know Gwen Stefani was in a band🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😡. What did you think, she was a judge from The Voice?
I appreciate the passion in this song. This is a strong performance, even though she was really going through these emotions at the time.
Her and that bandmate dated for years. He broke up but they stated friends and in the band. Crazy. Moving on while still in love.
"give it a little cuff curl" 🤣🤣🤣🤣omfg you are funny
Another great song and group! Gwen is definitely an original. Hard song due to the nature of their breakup. Happy to see you received Sade pillow👍
Another geat song like this with a great female singer is Noo Shooz and " I Cant Wait"
Interesting fact about Tragic Kingdom is it is one of the few albums in rock history where band mates broke up during an album and the album still became a hit.
Well damn! It’s about time you found No Doubt. So many great albums you can’t go wrong. It wouldn’t hurt to start early in their career.
If you want true no doubt, "trapped in a box" or " oi to the world"
More of the true ska vibe
Oi, was a punk cover. Just sayn. They did half dozen punk covers from DJ's to sail on and saw Blood

Yes. Talk Talk. 💜💜💜
Cool man never heard of this group before.
If no one else links it, the song you were talking about was “Let me (Blow your Mind)” which was Gwens collaboration with the rapper Eve. Great Song, Eve is an awesome rapper!

This is the song Gwen wrote when she and the bassist, who were IRL dating, were breaking up.
Oh shit, you found ska music 😂 No Doubt was what launched her whole career. The song is about her romantic relationship with the bass player and how it was falling apart.
She’s so good at conveying emotion. Such a cute voice, you can feel her pain.
THE best breakup song ever and well Gwen is just a powerhouse for girls everywhere!
Love this one and her breakup song to the bass player in NO DOUBT.
