Nothing better than watching a stoned guy discovering some of the greatest music ever made to brighten your day. If you like this Tusk is going to blow your mind
Stevie Nicks is the original queen. You may know about Taylor Swift writing songs about her exes but decades before that Stevie made her ex play guitar and sing backing vocals on songs about how much of an asshole he was. She's also the only female to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once for Fleetwood Mac and another time for her solo career.
To be fair Lindsey Buckingham wrote Go Your Own Way about Stevie and made her sing backing vocals on it. The whole Rumours album was pretty much just Fleetwood Mac writing songs about their exes and having them play them. Haha
My wife, who couldn't carry a tune in a bushel basket, used to say, "I sing just like Stevie Nicks... in my own mind." She let me, who can't carry a tune in a five gallon pail, sound like Lindsay Buckingham in her mind, so it was all good.
Ive said it 100 times.... the power we have as human beings when we just sit down and LISTEN to each other... we are not that different as you were TOLD to believe.

This is the song of being on the edge of falling apart and holding on with every last drop of your will, hoping they will too. The Chain is the bond, the tie that binds, the connection that makes us us. For the band when they wrote the song they were in the midst of some shit and weren't on speaking terms with each other, but they were all trying their best to stick together. So you get this song that they all are a part of. The verses state the problems, the choruses call everyone on their shit, and the change up to the outro is like a prayer contrasted with the recognition that that living on the downlow is still going to happen, hopefully less often. (Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Runnin' in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Runnin' in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow (Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow

Buckingham's picking on this cut is just exquisite. He is rarely mentioned in the lists of great rock guitarists, but he is great-as demonstrated on this recording.
In the UK the part where it switches was used as a soundtrack for formula 1 racing for years, so whenever we hear that track that’s what we all think of. Great dramatic music for a race.
