Stevie Nicks is the original queen. You may know about Taylor Swift writing songs about her exes but decades before that Stevie made her ex play guitar and sing backing vocals on songs about how much of an asshole he was. She's also the only female to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once for Fleetwood Mac and another time for her solo career.

This is the song of being on the edge of falling apart and holding on with every last drop of your will, hoping they will too. The Chain is the bond, the tie that binds, the connection that makes us us. For the band when they wrote the song they were in the midst of some shit and weren't on speaking terms with each other, but they were all trying their best to stick together. So you get this song that they all are a part of.
The verses state the problems, the choruses call everyone on their shit, and the change up to the outro is like a prayer contrasted with the recognition that that living on the downlow is still going to happen, hopefully less often.
(Chain, keep us together) Run in the shadow

You need to watch a live video from the 70's when they're all coked out of their minds jamming! One of the greatest rock bands ever!

That bass riff for the latter part of the song is one of my favorite parts. If I owned a bass guitar, that would be the number one bass riff that I would play endlessly, it's that good. Hope your arm is feeling better, dude.

Leo, During the introduction guitar, I always imagined a dusty old west town with a couple of gunslinger's facing off...
As the song progresses they start pacing toward each other slowely, deliberate.
Always enjoy your reactions. Zany, madcap, and pure excitement when you discover a song you groove with. Keep up the good work.

The sound board that this album was recorded through was bought by Dave Grohl, the drummer for Nirvana/singer for Foo Fighters. He now has it in his house and converted his garage into a studio. Here is a wiki link where you can see all the albums and artists that recorded on that board.

This is the difference between good music and the music that people listen to nowadays. Taylor swift sings about how her boyfriends treated her wrong. Stevie Nicks makes her ex play lead guitar.

I love the cult, but they have a bunch of stuff I think is way stronger than she sell sanctuary. For instance, "Love" or "love removal machine" "peace dog" etc...
A bunch of their early stuff, in particular.
Keep it up, brother. Love this channel.
