- Logan is truly an absolutely depraved human being, as he and some of the other Waystar Royco higher ups engage in hazing Tom, Greg, and Karl in Season 2 Episode 3 of Succession. The Normies review and discuss the episode after the reaction.

The hand pat from Tom to Greg after Greg says thanks is such a small gesture but shows Tom's true character. He and Greg are outsiders who need to stick together. Their weird relationship was by far my favorite.
You are going to be satisfied with how the series ends if you like Greg and Tom. 😅
Nikki's right. The issue with saying they're in an open relationship is Tom doesn't want to be. Shiv is scared of commitment so she's heavily pushing top to be okay with it
The crazy parts is Shiv doesn't REALLY want a open relationship either. Neither of them do.
It's literally just her fear of commitment. She sleeps with other men to maintain power in her relationship. Not because she actively wants other men.
I don't think anybody at the company is making hundreds of millions of dollars a year other than Logan since he owns the company. Their personal salaries are probably a couple million a year depending on their position. Karolina makes 1 million a year and she's the head of communications. Gerri, Karl, Frank, Tom, Roman, and Kendall probably make a couple million a year because they're part of the executive branch. The other people there at the retreat were the divisional heads (Ray, Cyd, etc.), so they probably make high 6-figure salaries at most. None of them need to take Logan's abuse, but they do it for the money because he pays them well and honestly most of them are used to it by now.
As far as the executive positions go, Logan is the CEO. Karl is the CFO. Roman and Kendall are co-COO. Gerri is general counsel. Frank used to be the Chairman of the Board before he got fired.
I'm sure Logan's competitors would be thrilled to grab them if they got fired too.
Thank you essentially commented what I was thinking. They are way over inflating what they make. While Ray is likely in that high six figures and could command that elsewhere, there aren’t a lot of jobs that pay that rate and good chance it would be under a similarly solipsistic boss.
Greg was making $200k a year in season 4
I mean, there is a salary and there is a net wealth, especially in stock and shares
but yeah, hired non-family are certainly not billionaires, Roy family members are tho
@@nickrubin7312 I don't even think the Roy children were billionaires at this point in the show. Didn't one of them get offered $500 mill for their stock early on? I could be wrong.
They were definitely billionaires later on
The actor who plays Greg is 6'7" btw. Makes his scenes with Tom even funnier since Matthew Macfadyen is 6'3" himself but looks tiny compared to greg
We've seen it before, but Logan truly unleashes what complete a narcissist he is in this episode. He controls the room at any given point in time, to the point people are willing to strip themselves of their humanity just to appease him. Brian Cox also plays him so menacingly that you feel genuienly terrified to watch him, like he'll scream at you next. This episode and the next are probably my favorites of the season.
Well, he is Hannibal Lektor.
Off topic but I always see you on react channels 😅 you have good taste
James Cromwell, who plays uncle Ewan, is an animal rights/vegan activist and environmentalist.
Cyd ain't shit for offering sausage to Tom the next morning 😂
29:03 No, Chris, he doesn't want to and got roped into it on the wedding night
I'm pretty sure there is no below-CEO level job in America within a corporate hierarchy (which excludes celebrities and athletes) that pays more than $100M per year. There are only nine CEOs in America that make >$100M per year. Tim Cook, the CEO of the world's most valuable company (Apple) made $63M for FY 2023. The C-suite people at Waystar Royco are probably pulling very low 7 figure incomes (with lots of stock options), and the people just below them (ie division heads) are making high 6 figures. These people are all extremely wealthy, but I'm pretty sure the only actual billionaires in that room in Hungary were Logan, Kendall, and Roman Roy.
It pains me that Roman is a billionaire
All members of the Roy family are billionaires in net wealth through stock but essentially nobody there would be cash rich - they might have a few million but not hundreds of millions. And also their wealth is tied to the worth of the company.
All of the kids are billionaires. On paper.
@@jxchambthey are billionaires in the sense that the shares of the trust they control are worth billions. They don't have a billion dollars on their bank accounts.
They would have to liquidize their stocks to get that cash, giving up control of the golden goose. And doing that comes with a lot of stipulations, rules and regulations.
Their private jet and car fleet probably belongs to the company for example.
How much they own in the stock will be relevant later. Just as the details about how they would go about reinvesting their assets.
@@BigKnecht True. I'm sure they still have tens of millions cash liquid though. For waking around money.
This was the first episode that truly left me open mouthed as I watched it. Logan's humiliating tactics were so awful to watch! Boar on the Floor became the catch phrase for people watching the show back then. None of them earn 100 million. At best Karl might me on 2m tops I'd guess. So would you do it for that much?! Also, Roman has "worked" in the company longer than Shiv. We learned in ep 1 that he worked under Frank in LA on the film side of the company. Clearly Kendall is the only one with real experience and Shiv does have a proper career unlike Roman, but she is still the one with the least exposure to the inner workings of the business.
Fun fact: the dinner scene and 'Boar on the Floor' was partly inspired by the party 'games' of Stalin. He'd get all the politburo plastered and hope that one of them would be drunk enough to make a dangerous or compromising remark on his leadership, leading to their arrest and execution.
1:56 That lady is a billionaire cosplaying as a reporter. She and her husband own a company called Grey Matter.
I still can't believe I didn't immediately recognize her when I first watched. I had to go on IMDB to figure it out 😒
man, this company would be bankrupt really quick if all those people were making hundreds of millions of dollars a year.
so stupid if they think this..
not hundreds of millions, but def a few million.
The front 5 especially.. everyone else, including the kids easily 500k +, plus whatever asest and property they own through the family name.
@@shortstuff780 so they only missed their estimate by 100x ? great :D
@@alinadornieden8411 haha maybe, just spit balling numbers, based on how CEOs get paid nowadays
@@shortstuff780they absolutely don’t get paid millions either. None of them are CEOs.
Logan is the master of puppets. He knows when and how to push anyone's button. He knew Greg, Karl and Tom were scared so he used the fear. He knows Roman wanted to prove himself so he clips his wings. Kendall is right under his pocket so he just gave him a pat on the back to do his bidding (find who spoke to Pierce). And finally, he knows Shiv thinks so much of herself, so he boosts her only to aid his agenda. He is a cruel businessman. To anyone. His colleagues, even his children. The "I will win" line encapsules the reality of his character. Narcissistic, but effective.
I remember the Boar on the floor episode, for me it really cemented succession as a classic show. That and Roman ripping the check in front of that kid in the first episode. It was unreal and unhinged, it truly showed how those people sold their soul, went along with everything Logan requested and feared him. It looked like a cult. Logan acts like he wants honest people who can question him, but he'll eventually crush them because that's who he is, he can't help it and they all know it. Some of these people have known him for decades so it's telling that they're all scared.
Shiv doesn't have any experience with the company or has held any positiion ever. Her being a professional doesn't have to do anything. Kendall and Roman have actual experience working in the company and have held positions. That's why logan says she needs training. You are not seeing the correct picture.
38:05 James Cromwell has protested a lot of things. He has gotten arrested a few times for it.
The Normies, Subscribed because your videos are so much fun!
I will stand for the Connor slander no longer, conheads rise up, let’s have party in dc on Jan 7th, call it connchella.
Next episode is possibly my favourite in the series! Top 2 at least!
Tern haven?
@@HoundsBane Nah, Safe Room is next!
Agreed. I think it is my favourite episode.
@@razoredgecutters "i accept your blackmail"
2x3, 2x4, 2x5 back to back banger sequence
Connor grows on you.
It took me a long time to stop hating him after that initial owning water comment
Y’all are waaaay overestimating corporate pay. The only person who might get paid $100 million a year is Logan, CEO.
This ep really let’s you get a glimpse of the childhood Logan’s kids had to deal with and the psychological manipulation and power imbalance he had above his kids the same on his workers/team. Specifically the game “dog pound” with Kendall and Roman. You sorta see that too when they start fighting over Romans phone right after they played boar on the floor.
loved the reactions but idk why the dining room scene was so "LOL" funny to you guys...its awful and disgusting to me personally
What happened to animal reaction ??
Great ep
I always felt like zombie Kendall this season is really just Darth Vader. He walks around doing the emperor's bidding because despite all his best efforts he can't escape.
One of my favourite eps ❤❤❤
Miss this show so mutch
TOP TIER Succession episode!
I enjoy the Tom & Greg dynamic too & there’s some beautiful moments here!
The narcissism, intimidation, and group dehumanizing in Boor on The Floor scene felt authentic to real life toxic environments. For example, even the ludicrous “Oink for your sausages” moment can be reminiscent of stereotypical fraternity bro ‘hazing’. Brian Cox really delivered Logan’s character perfectly embodying a powerful man who rules with fear & manipulation. 🔥
Ps. Shiv & Tom’s communication is nightmarish to me 😬 but I understand that neither can be fully vulnerable with the other…even if I get frustrated with their tragic, unhealthy mess. They’re now in an open marriage where one partner (Tom) does not want that type of relationship but is going to participate anyway…and THAT is not even their biggest issue imo 😅
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of Succession!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
THIS is the episode I went from liking the show to LOVING the show.
Rana!! where did you get that Velaris shirt?? 😍😍 also, the earrings?
Loved your reaction as always. You should watch society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one
36:12 $2.62/gal in WV, but we usually pay closer to $2.89 because we live in one of the fastest growing counties in WV, because we're so close (about 90 miles) to the DC/Baltimore area.
Yeah the actor for ewan is a super environmentalist
About your discussion about money and dignity and working for Logan.
I think Gerri does ask Frank at breakfast after that Boar on the floor scene why he considers coming back. Frank goes "idk, need the money to kill some guy in Palermo", cracking a joke. I think the truth is in that first part. He doesnt know why he would want to come back. But its a job that gives you a lot of power and a lot of money.
To quote Dario Agger: "I just like seeing the number getting higher". Thats sometimes all there is to people who hoard money.
This is the greatest show of all time
Pat saying, “At least morale is getting boosted”. 😂
Welcome to one of Succession’s greatest episodes.
These guys will definitely finish the show now
2:14 pat lmao
You'll find out there's a good reason Mo was kept off-screen.
3:37 did Suraj mean Naheed? That dude would clearly watch Bojack episodes ahead of people
Your indian reaction is too much fun so I suggest to react kgf, pushpa like big films
Did animal review get blocked or deleted
Roman is much more in the professional world than Shiv. He has a high ranking role in the company. Shiv was a political advisor, she never had any job at Waystar
I saw this episode in real time a few years ago and I’m still convinced Logan would’ve been impressed if a single person just stood up to him and refused to play boar on the floor. He’s so used to people cowering to him I think he’d respect someone with an actual spine
Where did 100 million come from guys? Logan’s henchmen are probably making ten’s of millions rather than hundreds of millions, if that. The business and the empire is worth billions but it’s all going to Logan. The reason why people like Frank and Gerry lick the floor for Logan is because they are probably living well beyond their means and NEED their salary to keep up. None of them are sitting on a pile of hundreds of millions. Logan knows how to keep his people begging for more and that’s kind of the point of the whole episode.
BOAR ON THE FLOOR
42:10 Big oof... This is gonna age poorly
Lmao
😂😂😂😂.
$2 for milk! In Miami its like $6 at Publix
I humbley request you to re upload the video reaction of Animal😢
Nikki is back! The only one smart enough for this show! Im going to miss her when she is gone. Telling someone the next episode is so and so, os a spoiler. Tell your friend to stop. Serj is like the Connor of this group.
Thank you for recognizing that is not hunting.
chris, each rung of the ladder you climb you find theres more money to be made. these are type a people. why quit when theres money you know you can make.
More money to be made but also, I can imagine they are all living beyond their means in order to keep up with the status quo’s set by the billionaires they do rub shoulders with. So they are living a very wealthy version of paycheck to paycheck and need Logan and what he can give them.
8:40 "Mon Dieu" is french for "My God" not hungarian at all but very fancy way to show your content or many others sentiment.
by the way one of the most known french sentence in a world
Btw no one is getting paid hundreds of millions. Caroline has a salary of a million a year, someone like Frank or Gerrie is closer to 3-4mil and don't even get me started with Greg lol
Who wouldn’t piss in a bucket for $100mill that’s easy money 😂
I feel like a billionaire as big as Logan would have to do one of these Armageddon meetings once every two years.
Boar on the floor no but the whole phones on the table, who is with me, who is against me exc
Just got the notification and was like SEASON 2 EPISODE 3??? Then I remembered how I went through all previous episodes in 2 days 😔
I WILL WIN 👹
I don’t know about Greg’s morals lol … he’s going the things he’s doing to move up in this wealthy family. He sees how shady they are, he always acts like he’s lost but keeps doing all the shady shit for them 😩😩
38:04 i get the sentiment behind being mad about the oatmeal thing but it doesn’t cost the same for the company buying it. Isn’t that kind of end of story?
Am I missing something there?
I agree. Roman's dumb and Conners funny. Lol
Speaking of "pissing in a bucket", there's a deleted scene where Tom suffers a humiliating and traumatic punishment for losing boar on the floor. It involves him standing alone in the middle of an empty swimming pool and several of the other guys standing around drunk and leering at him. The scene was filmed, but cut because it was "too dark". Tom taking the punishment rather than ratting Greg out speaks to his character and his promise to always look after Greg. It also makes his finding out Shiv messed around while he was going through it a lot sadder.
Can u link the scene or the article/video that mentions it?
Nikki is annoying to start with, but overall if you've seen the show don't sit on the reactor panel.
Haha i hated Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter 😅😂
This episode is not the one, the next one is the one
Big missed opportunity not having the uptight Eastern European chick not reacting to this and Always Sunny.
My God is Logan a terrible human.
Having seen three season of the show and hating Roman is a wild red flag for me lolol. Also I swear if there isn't a flicker of empathy toward him at Argestes I'm gonna throw hands
I'ld say it's a much bigger red flag if you don't hate Roman after What It Takes.
Real
youre missing too many hilarious lines.
Anytime I see these early episodes. I hope Tom grind Shiv soul into power
Oink, oink, oink, oink.
not this girl again bring back the other one who understand the characters and what the show is really about (not just rich ppl being assholes)

I can't stand people yelling at a TV. I find it beyond idiotic.
Opposite of normal. I get the dirty, smelly, left wing radical vibe. The “NPC” repeats back MSNBC vibe. That’s the antithesis of normal lol.
