Today I will show how to use SewArt to turn an image into an embroidery file. This video is a remake of a previous video I did. The quality was not as good as I would have liked. So once again we will take a good look at getting started with SewArt and how to use all the tools so you can produce a nice clean embroidery file. Is there anyway to watch this video without the background music? The background music is unnecessary and very distracting. Such great information but almost impossible to fully listen to what you are saying. All I hear is music.

Thanks for the video! I can't determine the differences in SewWhat and SewArt. Why did you chose "Art"? I want to be able to use both TTF fonts and create custom embroidery files out of drawn images.

I love this video!!! i was wondering WHEN you will do more? I downloaded the the free version...is there any difference between the free one and the one you pay for? The only problem i had was the stitches......them being too tight no matter what i put my machine on. And i had a problem with finishing a design and then trying to go back to that design to change it. I see you use Zig Zag 3 i will try that. Please keep the videos coming!

Thanks, I always enjoy your work. I learned Sew What Pro and hope to buy Sew Art, but not sure if I can handle it. If you decide to do another "beginner" video with a very simple design, that would be great. I'm hoping to draw something, like a frog, and digitize it. Will this program do that?

I am new to Sewart and your video helped me a lot to understand how to work with it. One thing that I would like to know, if you can help me with this: using that same little dragon, would it be possible to use the satin stitch for the face and the heart stitch for the body??? and how to proceed while working the image? Can you help me find the bar where the autosew shows up under the main? Mine is missing and I am at a loss as to where it went!
I'm using Sewart and SewWhat Pro. After the stitch process in Sewart I was left with 6 colors witch the demo version will only save that many. Having saved those 6 colors to a jef. file and opening the image in Sew What Pro the stitched image shows up with 6 colors BUT it shows 3 reds of the same shade and the black border color is not saved or not showing up. A little help please
When I try to import my design into the machine it says pattern is too large for for the embroidery frame, how do I change the size? And what's the right size?

Your tutorials have helped me sooooo much, and youre the reason i bought sewart in the first place! I wanted to know how to stop the machine from stopping and making you start it at every jump? like I obviously want it to stop between each color but it stops a ton of times in each color (between each square) ive tried combining them and have had no luck.. thanks!

I got the 30 day free trial thinking I wouldnt actually buy the real thing, and I bought it after one time of using it lol. it is incredible. very easy to learn how to use, especially with these tutorials. I have the brother se400 and it works perfect with the program (using .pes files) Trust me once you get going it becomes not confusing haha. you can download the trial for free to see if you like it!

This video was very helpful. Could you do a video on "freestanding lace" in sew art? I love freestanding lace designs but I can't find any videos that show you how to create your own in sew art?
I'm doing lettering and want to use a Satin stitch but it will only let me do it as a outline. The default is doing a fill stitch and is 67,000 stitches. Is there anything I am missing to get a satin stitch?
what's the average stitch time for a design like this? not sure i'm doing this right.. i've tried sew art and inkscape, both giving me about 30 minutes for a simple graphic. not only that, the stitching seems to be bunching under the hoop. tried every tension possible, still does it. only the built in designs (at a tension of 2) work perfectly. sad sad..

Can you explain the effect of changing the length of the stitches? The default is 20 but modifying this value does not seem to change anything.
I have been working on a image for a week now. I can't get the entire image to show up on the stitched image. It seems to be leaving areas blank, when I click on Stitch all colors. Happen to know why it isn't showing the completed jpg image when I click sew all colors?

After cleaning up and de speckling, when i go to embroider theres gaps in between the colors. Like if i have a red letter with white border theres a small space in between the red and white. How do i fix??

I tried to save it to png but only have bmp and tif files. It won't let me save to an embroidery file. Any idea why?
Can SewWhat Pro Editor show all files in a folder giving a thumbnail image, stitch count and # of thread changes? They are what I need in an embroidery program but I like the additional editing features of this and will buy it if I can see a folder full of designs to choose which one I want to use.

I am working on a design. I am pretty happy with it, but I want to remove the background stitching because I am putting it on black fabric and do not need it to stitch a black background. And it is a round design in a square. How do I remove the square and just leave the circle. I am trying to make a back patch for a leather vest

How do you shrink an image w/o losing quality?
When view the dst file generated, the stitches are all over the place. Things look good in SewArt, but nowhere else. Any thoughts?
Did you ever find a solution to this??? I'm finding great difficulty with my borders...the rest of the design comes out fine, but if I put in the black border first....the other colors stitch overtop of it. If I put it on last (thinking the opposite might happen?) it just creates a thin line that's a little ways away from the rest of the pattern.
I'm trying this with my brother machine which uses PES format but I used the trial version of SEWART and it has no option for converting the format to PES do u think if I buy the full version it will work??

+Elizabeth Ferguson Me Too. If you try downloading and installing again a message which says "Fix or Uninstall" will appear. Click on "Fix" and this should fix your problem.
