Good to see you!!! As I revisit S&SComputing every 3 or 4 years, I find that so much has changed! About the time of this video, I was teaching myself how to use SewWhat and Art. I purchased all of the modules and loved my results!!! I found this video from S&S SewArt page!!! Anyway, just wanted to say Hello and Thank You! Hope all are well and taking care! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene

Thank you for the video. Does Sew Art have a way to change the type of stiches or do you have to use standard?

I'm trying to use sewart to make a design for Lids to print it out on a hat. I was curious if there is a way to make a raised design (similar to the ones used on MLB hats) because it only prints as a flat design otherwise.

Three years later, do you recommend SewArt for a first time embroidery digitizer or is something else a better choice?

I know this video is 8 years old but does anyone know how to avoid getting like 300 different stitches for only 3 colors? Like I get tiny specs of black for the outline instead of having one big outline stitch

From what I've been told the 3d stitching isn't just stitches..it's foam underneath the stitching to give it the raised look. Hope this helps

Hello! I love the videos! I got the SE400 and love the hell out of it! My question is which software do you like better; Sophie Sew or SewArt? I just watched your videos for both and I wanted to try one.

Hi Sarah- I would say SewArt is an easier program to use if you have an image you want to convert to an embroidery file. SephieSew has more features for creating your own paths but SewArt is by far easier. If you wanted to create a design without converting an image then SophieSew would be best. Another difference is SewArt has a free trial but will cost a little money if you want to buy it (but totally worth every pennie), where SophieSew is free. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and also if I may ask, there is some jumpiness in this video I could not fix. Did you notice it and if yes was it too bothersome? Thanks!

Burley Sew I saw it a little and I saw your note, but honestly it wasn't that bad and I only noticed it for a minute or two at the beginning of the video. And thanks so much for the program advice!! I'm gonna give SewArt a shot! :-)

Thanks for the video. Please consider lowering or removing your background music. It makes it difficult to hear you and concentrate on what you are doing.

make sure it is the right size. i know the Brother se400 will only work with a 4x4 or smaller image. hope you figured it out.

Hello, I recently got a brother se400 and just downloaded the trial version of sewart, I'm on an old MacBook Pro. I like to draw my own artwork and turn them into embroideries. I've just done hand embroidery up to this point (with my own artwork) and played with the basics of my machine. I would love to learn how to sew out some of my simpler designs with my brother SE 400. Trying sewart on your recommendation, but I am having trouble with getting my images into sewart to begin with. Mostly I scan them and have them on my desktop. Do you have any advice or can you do a video tutorial of how to get images into sewart to digitize them? Recently had a store in town say they want to start carrying my product, would be awesome if I could produce them faster! Thanks in advance, your videos have been otherwise very helpful!!

Another question: do you think sewart would be a good program for what I'd like to use it for or do you think there's another that would work better? For example, is it possible to change the thread color and type of stitch of various parts of the design?

I plan to make a .dst file for a hat design. I want to use 3-d lettering instead of the regular flat lettering. Do I just not narrow the colors down so much while posterizing, or is there another process?

Have you done a video on importing a photograph and extracting the image from the background for embroidery. I have not found a good way to eliminate the background of a photograph which is busy.
    Thanks.

your screen is flickering because that is it refreshing. VERY normal. NOTHING wrong with your computer.

Gee, you missed a lot of details. For example, the last part (which is very important to me and I want to learn it) you said "there are a lot of jumps, but you can select different regions..." but instead of showing details you skipped that and do a save as.
I remember when my instructor was doing this a lot of students just walked away from the classroom.
Other than that, you passed on a good amount of information. I just wish you explained how you did it more slowly and showing the steps when you performed a particular function.

Youre not telling us what to click... "im just gonna select which color not to stitch, which is the bright pink here" okay??? Which tool did you select and how? Missing important details for beginners that know nothing about embroidery lol
