Adam managed to get every outcome from last night wrong, and yet still somehow managed to be right. That takes talent
Actually, he got one thing right...Reah winning the Women's rumble AND THAT'S IT.
you sure? First take was right. Rhea and Cody were predictable...though I admit I didn't see Gunther iron manning 60+ minutes to go from Number 1 to Runner Up...and I was suckered into hoping he would win.
cody and rhea was by far the most predictable outcome possible, first take was spot on
Adam: “sometimes my genius it’s, it’s almost frightening”
@Lil' Sunny Gunther should have won but sadly I knew he wouldn't
Fun Fact: For the Greatest Royal Rumble the Prince of Saudi Arabia wanted Yokozuna to compete, thing was Yokozuna died in 1999 from heart failure. So Hiroki Sumi who hasn't been seen before or since in WWE was basically their "Yokuzuna At Home" to appease the Saudi Prince.
If they want a discount Yokozuna, WHY NOT RIKISHI?
I'm sorry, WHAT?!
@@crystalhoneycutt9912 You read that correctly lol
A huge proof of the prince being a spoiled man-child that doesn't truly care about wrestling
Honestly i wish every rich saudi prince went on an underwater submarine and implode cause f*ck them, their all assholes
"Hold my golden cup of journalists' blood"
Thank you, Adam.
Well done, that
I actually had to rewind it and pop again. This guy kills me.
Another cup of water spat out. Thanks, Adam.
Remember the final 5 of the RR were Drew McIntyre, Matt Riddle, Bad Bunny, Shane and Brock? Even though that's last year, let that sink in a little.
@@joecool201 2021 is way worse, the dread of Brock's win inevitably coming. The one suprise being shane ducking mcmahon. Not saying this final 5 was amazing, but it was fun at least
@@joecool201 Cody is a way better winner than Brock just by having fan support and not winning in past ones. And, at least this final 5 all could win a rumble and gain something from it. What would Bad Bunny or Shane get off of winning? Riddle would of been the only elevation to anything concerning a push.
@@joecool201 atleast he didn't come out dumped everyone within 3 minutes .Also the final four included Shane and Bad Bunny two non wrestlers ( Didn't mind Bad Bunny, personally he was the only enjoyable part of last year's rumble )
@@queenofcawks9514
That was 2022
Edge won the 2021 Rumble
DBry's elimination is made even worse by the fact that right after he was eliminated, Goldust entered and "SHATTERED DREAMS" appeared on the titantron.
I refuse to EVER think that was an accident.
It was not.
This + Big Show and Kane eliminating all fan favorites was a clear message from Vince.
@@MegaShingo97 this reminded me I really hated Authority Kane. That guy was everywhere at that time.
I admire the level of trolling that this was. Actually really really funny
It was hilarious
FACTS you can not ever convince me that was not INTENTIONAL by vince he knew everyone wanted bryan to win.
It's unfortunate because the 2015 Royal Rumble match was actually kind of fun for the first half. Bubba Ray Dudley, Boogeyman and DDP had good returns and Daniel Bryan brought a lot of energy to the proceedings. But everything went downhill when he was eliminated...
14 and 15 RR are 1 and 1a worse ever for different yet exactly the same reason
The wrong guy won
@@HassanKhan-rk2hu they had so little faith in reigns and knew he was the unpopular choice. So much so they had to bring the rock back in a pathetic attempt to get people to cheer reigns.
It didn’t work
@@HassanKhan-rk2hu Vince wanted reigns as top guy. End of story.
The only thing that made the audience cheer was Damien Mizdown turning on Miz. Honestly? Should have won it
Then wwe, in their infinite incompetence, also managed to fumble the ending in every way possible. They booked it so that once the fans had started putting their support behind guys like Ziggler and Moxley, they had Kane and Big Show, just pick them up and gently place them outside like it was nothing. They thought this would give fans only one guy to cheer for. But they had The Rock on speed dial because they knew Reigns wasn't going to get the reaction they wanted.
"hold my golden cup of journalist blood": i was drinking a glass of water, and suddenly i turned into Triple H.
BRUH😂.
I love how Adam says the 99 rumble was "stuffed with midcarders" as if the ring wasn't empty *so many times* throughout. Such an awful rumble it's incredible.
It was stuffed with mid carders ironically meaning it was stuffed with entrants who were eliminated by the obvious winner in under 10 seconds.
@@morgantaylor84 Vince didn't eliminate anyone except Austin though and was not the obvious winner at all...?
It was kind of obvious who was going to win either austin or vince since they showed the royal rumble 1999 promo was only austin and vince
99 was my favorite because the story. The rumble match itself is sloppy and people not knowing how to work a full ring
@@prasithoudomvilay8454 Most Rumble winners are obvious
Grumpy Adam has the best lexicon in the English speaking language honestly. Brilliant stuff.
His real genius is his ability to seamlessly weave classic Simpsons references in every video. Today’s was a deeeeep cut.
"And that's what happens when you try to reinvent the wheel by gluing a smaller wheel onto it" double thumbs up
Honestly I was angry when Santino lost in the 2011 Royal Rumble.
I was as well, obviously Santino wasn't gonna be the biggest guy but imagine the entire wwe fanbase losing their mind if he won, and they book the Mania 27 World title match as a triple threat between Santino, Del Rio, and Edge. The possibilities could have been unimaginable.
Christian should have won. Perfect set up for Edge vs Christian and his heel turn
me too but it makes sense! It would be nice though and everyone was behind him when he was the final two for the chamber for the world title and daniel bryan couldn't keep a straight face
The 2015 Royal Rumble was really the genesis of where the fans hated Roman for over half a decade.
Some doofuses argue it was the CM Punk podcast, but in reality, it was that Rumble, and it was Vince’s fault. When fans heard Daniel Bryan was coming back, they thought they would be seeing the hero of the past year coming back to regain the title he never lost against the Beast who broke The Streak, Brock Lesnar, in the main event of Wrestlemania. The story wrote itself.
Instead, Vince went out of his way to antagonize fans by eliminating Bryan early, playing “Shattered Dreams” afterwards, and then anointing Roman as the winner in a lackluster performance. The fans right then and there decided “You know what? The hell with this Roman guy, if they dared pick this chump over our guy, we’re never going to accept him.” Vince screwed his own pet project because he had to get stubborn and get cute with the fans, and they didn’t like that.
And then Roman got his crowning moment at Wrestlemania a year later..and the whole situation was such a downer that I didn't watch WWE again until late 2022.
I mean, yeah, that was the start of Reigns' singles push to the top. People were still salty over how Bryan got treated between 2013 and 2014 so when it looked like he could actually have a chance at redemption and WWE were like "NO, YOU WILL LIKE ROMAN," that set Reigns off on a bad foot.
So everyone booed hard going into WrestleMania 31 and raged at WWE crowning this guy who has none of the personality or workmanship that they want to see at the top of the card at the time. WWE acquiesces, has Seth Rollins do the heist of the century, then just goes back to the well the following year and pretty much every year until WrestleMania 36. Heel Roman emerging in 2020 was very satisfying even though everyone was telling them for ages that was what they wanted in the first place.
00:24 HE CALLED IT
The anger from Adam Blampied is freaking ultra instinct. 🔥
Adam calling Giant Gonzalez the inmovable porn yeti got me rolling😂
Huh, wasn't expecting 2019 Men's Rumble to be on the list, I thought that was a pretty good one.
Same thought
Worst thing about 2015 is it has a lot of really good stuff! Bubba's return and shenanigans with R-Truth, Bray vs. Boogeyman creep-off and Bray as dominant force until DANIEL BRYAN, Kofi's crowd surfing spot, Miz and Mizdow. The best Royal Rumbles aren't just lots of dudes hitting each other, they're a series of small stories and big moments, and the 2015 Rumble has a lot of that!
Well Adam, take 1 was true. And 15% of take 3 was also true. I’d say that’s a success
thank you funny british man for making my sunday suck less
This years mens rumble was fairly good, if a bit predictable. When the most unexpected return is booker T, it’s kinda disappointing. Nothing against booker, it was a feel-good moment. Some brilliant spots and Günther and sheamus being the backbone of the whole thing was very good. Günther in particular was incredible, setting up some future dream feuds by facing off with Brock Lesnar, Lashley, Strowman and a few others. Hopefully they build on his momentum from this as he really was the foundation for the whole match. Definitely deserving of a world title reign in the future. I’m almost convinced it’s impossible for him to have a bad match/feud.
Yeah he's insanely good
Predictability is not always a bad thing but I just hoped they did not spoil his return. It would have been a massive pop. Besides Cody, I don't see anyone who can challenge Roman for the titles.
But man, Gunther was amazing all through out. 70 minutes in the ring and still made Cody, the 30th entrant, work for it. Massive props to Sheamus and Drew too.
I mean there was another surprise return... just not one anyone wanted.
Why is Nia Jax back, I'm sure she's a nice person in real life, but she's an unsafe worker. So many people have gotten injured wrestling her, she just shouldn't be in the ring.
---
As for Gunther, while I do hope he gets a world title in the future (if HHH remains in creative I'd say Summerslam), given the looming threat of Vince coming back and taking control of creative, and the fact that Vince apparently had plans to bury Gunther before Vince was removed. I and a lot of fans are concerned about his future.
@@calumbishop7082 I'd like to hope Vince, as a businessman. Sees the popularity of Gunther, the incredible match with Sheamus at Clash at the Castle and at least lets him hold on to the IC title as one of the greatest of all time even if he never wins the big one...assuming vince does take creative back and god I hope not.
@@calumbishop7082 I did specifically say the mens rumble returns. And even if Cody’s wasn’t announced, it was still predictable. But you’re right to be concerned about vince returning. Hopefully HHH will take a stand and insist on staying head of creative. Only time will tell what we get I suppose.
“Hold my golden cup of journalist blood” hahahaha! Jesus Christ! 😂
Both Cody and rhea deserved their wins. Can’t wait to see Cody end Roman’s dominance.
It’s gone on too long imo
I respect you opinion. I get why a large section of the fandom are over it...
...but I'm not. I'm just not. I really want to see more. The bloodline has been incredible and last night showed theres still legs. Mania may wrap it up but for me I'll still be left wanting more. It's been a ride.
@@chrisseddon5823 tbh, there was a moment where Romans reign felt like he was champ, because no one else could, there was no story, once they really kick it up with the Bloodline, things started to get good
@@chrisseddon5823 not saying the end of the bloodline. But reigns time as champ needs to end. He needs to spend time out of the title picture for while. Let others be at the top to freshen things up
@@jessedellross3245 fair enough Jesse. I see where you're coming from. I dont feel like it's time to end his reign coz I dont think anyone is on his level right now but the road to mania might change that.
Fantasy booking I'd love to see Roman beat cody night one and it be Roman vs NXT zayn night 2. Neat beard, short hair, flat cap and plaid. The true underdog from the underground. In that instance I'd be ok with one belt dropping. Make sami a star.
@@primejoyofbearding2128 yeah... there was a stale few months there. But right now it's so good! It feels like a main event storyline. It's got me back into wwe and nothing else on the show has for years.
My 2 favorite things from an Adam video: when he’s pissed off throughout the video and he sounds more passionate, and also guessing only 2-10 because you know what number 1 is and you can’t wait to see what he says(especially when he’s mad and even more so in this case cause he absolutely hates the 2015 Royal Rumble as does everyone else)
I actually liked the 2015 rumble. The only part that I hated was Roman winning
Thank you for that intro Adam! The third possibility of how the rumbles went had me laughing the first real laugh I’ve had since testing positive for the VID. I loved it!
Did u just call Kane a henchman? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not going to lie, the one thing I took away from the 1993 Royal Rumble was, “Good Lord, the guy from the cover of those Mad Magazines has ungodly stamina.”
Dom and Ripley having EdgexLita 2.0 might have saved the event.
I think a 40 man Rumble would be great if they had like 10 guys who are main eventers, 2 or 3 comedy spot guys, at least 7 returns sprinkled throughout, and the rest of the 20 spots being filled with mostly guys who were former world champions, obvious future world champions, or guys who had world title shots in the past.
40 people was a great number because, at one point, they had 4 brands they could talent from. The Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber should be the only PPVs---Premium Live Events when the Champions don't wrestle. All 4 Champions, both for men and women, sit by the Commentary table, maybe even get on a headset here and there, while they watch the action. 10 Superstars from Raw, Smackdown, NXT and NXTUK. Then, they can really mull over whose Championship they want at WrestleMania. And whoever doesn't get picked does the same thing at the Elimination Chamber. Boom
As a kid the 40 man rumble was like the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. 😂 Don’t know about other kids at that time but that might’ve been why they did it.
I loved it too.
*I’m pretty sure that everybody knows that 2015 will definitely top the list. That rumble match was just such an atrocity.*
Wrestling fans: i hate when things are boring and predictable
Also wrestling fans: hahaha yes thing i remember hahaha yes nostalgia!!!
@@TheEvilCheesecake whats this has to do with the comment above? Weirdo
Started off fine, *quickly* drove off a cliff.
Idc what anyone says. I will never count "The Greatest Royal Rumble" as a Rumble.
_Dang almost got the Rhea Ripley one right, close._
Honestly I was vibing with Rhea and Dom pulling an Edge and Lita in the middle of the ring but I was weirded out when she pulled out the strap-on
She’s Mami for a reason
It was fine until the weird part when Rhea started putting a diaper on Dom after shagging him like crazy
I didn't mind the strap-on, it was when Finn Balor returned as the Demon to "finish" the job on Dom that was kinda sus for me.
@@cvg5184 Damian standing in the corner taking notes was certainly a thing.
@@rushguy1 was Rey watching the whole thing backstage I found to be a bit odd.
Honestly, this years Royal Rumble is easily top 5 imo. Such a fun event.
Meh it didn't get any surprise besides booker for about 2 min
@@drakyndeon2821 didn’t really need any to be good
Top 5 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Main issue for me is how long it took for everyone to get to the ring.
It was a great show but that main event segment pushed it into the amazing territory.
I agree for the most part that no one should win the Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank, King Of The Ring, etc. more than once for the most part. The only ones I can see winning the Royal Rumble more than once are The Undertaker (1997 & 2007), Stone Cold (1998, 2001, & 2014), & John Cena (2008 & 2017)
Sami turned on Roman let's goooooo.
LOL actually...the Rhea Ripley scenario could've very well happened. Vince is around so the sky's the limit!
What
Take 3 was the most likely. I'm shocked WWE found something else ngl
Man Cody winning bums me out because his story just does nothing for me.
Sami Zayn vs. The Bloodline. A pay off to a multi-year storyline that, even if it's dragged it's feet in places, has featured multiple people and built up a blood-feud between multiple faction members that could ultimately be as big a break up as The Shield, creating multiple main event stars at once.
Or
Cody Rhodes coming back from injury and beating Roman at Wrestlemania in the space of three months, and thus beating Roman on his first try, making everyone else on the roster look weaker in comparison.
I actually thought Daniel Bryan was going to win the greatest Royal Rumble.
I know Randy Savage vs Bret Hard would be awesome to see than what really happened at WM9. However, calling Yokozuna "barely able to move" is a real downplay when Yoko was very agile for his size.
Adam try not to mention blood money challenge:
The 2015 Royal Rumble is really starting to reach Montreal Screwjob levels of being Overtalked about at eye-rolling nauseum
It’s that infamously bad it will be talked about forever. Just like the 14 rumble will be talked about forever
That's true, but it's also kind of unavoidable whenever you're talking about the 'worst of' list for Royal Rumbles. Like, you can't not put it on there, it's objectively a terrible Rumble.
@@aidanator8008 FACTS.
It seems that people dont relise the state bryan was in and would have had to fight lesnar
The inconsistency of the '96 Rumble makes sense. First time it happened, the officials needed to make a call on the fly, and going forward decided to go the other way.
Exactly. They made a decision in the spur of the moment. When it happened again with Batista and Cena, Vince came down personally to stop the referees from making the same mistake.
As a person at the Rumble, the Men's match was so good, that it kinda burnt out the crowd for the rest of the night. 2023
The part where Logan and Richochet springboarded each other made no sense but was really cool
It's a wonder i stayed a wrestling fan, my first rumble was 2015.
lol i love adams rant on 2022 rumble cause even the worst like 2014 or 2015 i would STILL watch those over 2022
I loved Goldust's entrance at 2015 tho
"Hold my golden cup of journalist's blood."
I swear to Yevon...you are a treasure, Plumpy...
Honestly while 2019 wasn't the greatest royal rumble you could still replaced it with 2012 or 2013 in this list because I think they were more boring
Can't stop laughing at this video.
I was born in 1981 and grew up watching WWF/E. 2015 was the year/rumble where I finally gave up/stopped caring semi full time.
Thank you Adam. Final some brought up vader eliminated Michael's after being eliminated himself in the 96 rumble. When ever when rumble before and after counted as a elimination. This has bugged me for years.
"Hold my golden cup of journalist blood"... well played, sir, well played.
Edit : Adam managed to top that with "immovable porn yeti".
I love that Cody Rhodes won I just hate that he came out at #30 stop putting the street profits in the rumble that’s a waste of a spot
Im ok with having people win multiple rumbles because otherwise you can just disregard every previous winner who enters and thats not fun. But it HAS to be done right.
Great stuff. And as for last night, Cody Rhodes winning was predictable and deserved, but Gunther going from 1 to final 2 and having a classic with Cody at the end was beautiful, if you weren't a Gunther fan before that, you will be after that performance.
Tbh the ‘99 rumble gets too much hate. To me it’s an example of doing a lot with very little considering what a rough roster of entrants they had to work with. My personal ranking is:
1. 2015 (obviously)
2. 1996
3. 1993
4. 1995(only the end is good)
5. 2014
6. 1989
7. 1988
8. 1991
9. 1990
10. 2011(could’ve been great, but the extra 10 spots and hornswoggle/Cena run hurt it)
I discovered yesterday that Meltzer gave the 1995 RR 3.5 stars, that’s strange.
Kudos to you Blampied, you worked that Simpsons joke in magnificently.
1999 rewatching the other day. Wtf was going on 🤣🤣🤣. A tier rumble in my mind.
The moment Adam called Giant Gonzalez "The Immovable Porn Yeti" was the moment I almost died of laughter and if I did, I would've went to Heaven, cackling like a Hyena on crack. 🤣
The 2011 rumble theme is so good too. Saddeningx
5:03 i said the same thing when someone ask me about 2022 men's, for me the worst of all time
This is the only channel that makes me like the 2015 Royal Rumble
The Survival Series salt is real, and it will not go away.
Happy that both of last nights Rumble's won't be on this list; both were really fun with it being hard to chose which one was the best imo
sami sami!!!!!
I know it sound weird but the 2019 rumble was really fun to be there in person for lol
That '95 Rumble is probably my favorite OSW episode of all time.
Adam: "It could've gone worse."
Nia Jax enters the Rumble...
I was at royal rumble 2019, first line event since WM 26
I don't think either 2023 rumble would on this list because it was just so aggressively average. With the exception of Walter. Loved Walter.
Hakushi was awesome! Him being in the match is a major plus point for 96.
2015 rumble ended with a bad note, The Rumble itself was ok but the ending made it horrible.
Still say Bryan shouldn't have won in 2015, even if he did get eliminated too early. He had his Wrestlemania moment the year before. Ambrose should have won.
If I’m ever dying I want Adam to tell me. Just seems he would make it so fun.
I actually like the last few minutes of the 95 rumble.
2021. Absolutely worst one. Even Mini Royal Rumble was more entertaining to watch than this crap
Omg watching this gut talk in .25 speed is absolutely hillarious😂😂😂
Couple of things. I agree with most of this list. But. The 1990 rumble was incredible. The first 10 entrants included Ted DiBiase, Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts. Then you had the iconic Hogan/Warrior showdown that set up WM6, then a good ending with Hogan overcoming 2 of the best heels in the company Rick Rude & Mr. Perfect in front of a white hot crowd. Sure Perfect should have won but that is not how things were done back then. Also, the 2019 Rumble while not great, was better than 2012, 2013, and even 2000. In 2000, Test was the iron man with like 26 minutes, and everyone in the world knew Rock was winning that. Love these lists, keep them going!
For me personally, 2022 was the worst rumbles I had ever seen.
It was a major disappointment considering its the modern era,
I rather 2015 over 2022 anyday
I literally didn't watch wwe till today 1 year later
+DIETYDIE
Right......
At least 2015 has DDP looking like a star and Bubba Ray Dudley doing all of the classic Dudley Boyz spots with the closest black guy he could find, 2022 straight up has NOTHING. I definitely agree with you, I’d rather watch the 2015 rumble
@@reddeath5791
Not me
"Anything before 1992" is a real ass statement adam b
I was happy when babba Ray came then I got to watch Bully Ray in TNA. It pissed me off that they can run it without Devon since he came solo
Adam that third scenario with Rhea Ripley would probably get over with people let's be honest
Idea for another video: Top 10 WWE Championship matches that happened at the Royal Rumble
Hold my golden cup of journalist blood.
I love you Adam.
The '93 Rumble was pure garbage but Yoko winning was the right call. An immovable monster ACTUALLY winning the Royal Rumble? Imagine that.
It would've been better if said immovable monster actually did the final elimination instead of getting so gassed Savage has to pin him (for no real reason) so he kicks out in order to be eliminated.
Agreed. Especially adding in he had a late number.
We had 1992 - which was great - but didnt get a truly great Rumble again until 2001 when we entered the golden years, and all the Rumbles til 2011 were atleast good. Then we entrered the dark ages again.
The Chairman of The Vols..Steven Dunn!..in a WWE Royal Rumble😂😂...Indy fans in NWA worldwide knows that one.
2015 rumble was my first rumble...atleast it goes up from there
Just like the rumbles this year this list was predictable but I still had a good time watching, just like the real rumble
The 1990 rumble was amazing, the crowd were pumped, no modern rumbles can match tyhat, the characters were better back then, the 1990 rumble was far better than the 89 rumble, John Stud won the 89 rumble! The golden era was better than todays`s era.
thank god the irl match went absolutely nothing like how Adam wanted it to lol
0:28💀
The 2019 rumble was such a bore that Seth never really got his heat back going into 35. The only thing that kept the feud up with fans was contempt for Brock at the time
"Tempest says the GRR counts" Adam aren't you the boss?😏😏😏😃😃😃
I've seen them all, but I won't watch from 89-94. Shocking ones
THat's why I like the AEW formula of having 4 groups of wrestlers enter at a time and only on person entering at the end. There is no dragging period of pointless midcard entries following each other, there is no x is being attacked on the ramp and misses out on entering and there is no awkward moment after some huge guy cleared the ring and whoever is coming next needs to not being eliminated while exactly that would be the only logical outcome going by how the guy in the ring has just killed several bigger stars.
The Mountain Dew match should be on here.
I feel for Bray Wyatt, he must wonder why management hates him so much when he has the potential to make them so much money.
Before watching this... Predicting that the top two are:
1. 2015
2. Men's 2022
I'm sure one of the women's will make it up there too. I remember there being at least one bad one.
