“WWE, it’s either amazing or terrible and you’ll never know unless you tune in” I think Adam you’ve just described WWE better then I’ve ever heard before.
Only thing I disagree with is that hhh vs taker is the only good match from mania 27... Punk vs Orton was great
It's more boring or terrible. I'm still waiting on the amazing part.
That's pretty much every wrestling company tbh
@@danbartfield8252 Those two always worked great together.
@@danbartfield8252 Punk v Orton was great, but not memorable for the casual fan.
Seth Rollins appears three times on this list, all appearances being Match of the Year contenders. That's how damn good he is.
And Shawn Appears twice, the Show Stoppers of their era
Modern Shawn Michaels while also the first ever Seth Rollins
Or it’s how bad WWE is now
So glad Usos vs Harper and Rowan was on this list. It's such a good match that I think gets overlooked too often.
One of my favorite tag matches of all time.
agree
"...because WWE like to fix things that aren't broken, and when I say fix I mean like you fix a dog." This right here is why Adam is so brilliant and I need to remember this one to use myself. I laughed so hard I had to stop the video and come down here to write this comment before I continued watching.
The Hardys vs. MNM at December to Dismember. Probably wasn't a match of the year candidate and not even close to one of the best tag team matches of all time but I remember being in a blog, it was a dream match for some fans.
It delivered.
"...and Brock Lesnar as ALL THE WOLVES IN THE WORLD"
I nearly spit out my drink 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Rock's face at the end of that rumble always makes me lol
Honorable mention: CM Punk vs Undertaker.
The only saving grace of WrestleMania 29
What? You mean you don’t like Alberto Del Wanker vs the Republican version of Jack Swagger? 😉
@@ANTICENA571 lol, yes. Weed the people. It was great! So was twice in a lifetime. Totally. :D
I thought brock and trips had a great match as well but besides that yeah ur right
Brock vs HHH was a banger. Somewhat predictable finish, but a banger none the less.
Brock vs hhh was good Cena vs rock even though being predictable was still pretty good had good ring psychology
Adam telling The Usos “stop making us remember Battleground” and then immediately mentioning another Battleground match 💀💀
I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I hear Adam talk about things he loves (or hates). It's so comforting and well written.
Does everyone seem to forget that Punk VS Orton and Rey VS Cody were also good matches on Mania 27? Edge VS Del Rio would’ve been better if Del Rio won and yes the rest of the show is kind of bad but it’s not an out and out ‘worst Mania’ contender.
It's just a big case of the bad outshining the good
I would've had Christian win the Rumble, turn heel and challenge Edge at Mania 27. Pretty sure that would've delivered.
Exactly! Orton punk was solid and Rey Cody was phenomenal. I can see someone saying the bad out ways the good, but it is by no means a one match show
WM27 is overhated. It’s not great but there’s some really solid wrestling on the show
@@reddragon0624 ok it’s pretty bad but also ur right definitely overheated as long as the Main event wasn’t what it was it would’ve been a solid show
Thank you for sifting through so many terrible PPV's for our enjoyment, Adam. You guys make me look forward to my Sundays for these lists!
Literally making the best out of the worst
mania 27 also had rhodes vs rey and orton vs punk which are both slept on aswell
And miles better than Triple/Undertaker.
I remember walking thru Walmart at 10 years old and having a choice between buying Mania 25 or Mania 27 (Mania 28 hadn’t happened yet). For some reason I chose Mania 27, and I honestly still couldn’t explain it to this day. But the two things I always went back to watch were the Hate Me Now video package and Taker vs Triple H. Mania 27 was terrible, but those two things justified that purchase.
Should have got 25. It has potentially Taker's best WM match, and the 25 card, though terrible, was better than 27
So glad to see the Rhodes vs Shield match listed here. It was an absolute diamond in the heap of plop that was "Battleground". It's one of my favourite matches of all time.
I really want to see Adam list his top 10 Wrestlers to have never wrestled for WWE.
@@danielbrennan7613 when?
@@danielbrennan7613
No he has not.
He has made a list discussing his top 10 favorite wrestlers twice.
I am very clearly asking for something different.
Please read and understand things properly first before responding to them.
It saves everyone some time and trouble.
Would love to see it
@@lobokujo7825 calm down
And i would like a top 10 of adams top 10 List, even from whatculture 😂
I'm not sure if I watch these because they're good, or because I love learning new British insults. A Wank supper is something I will be using this week. Thank you Adam, don't ever change.
I love that Cody Rhodes referenced Battleground 2013 in his feud with Seth Rollins
The cm punk Vs Orton match and Rey Vs Cody match at 27 were decent matches too
Bit harsh on Mania 27: It also had Punk vs. Orton as an underrated gem
As someone in attendance at that one that’s one of three matches I remember
@@rogregg29445 you know it’s bad when I’m pretty sure we all know what the other 2 matches are
Yeaps. I'd say Cody vs Rey was the best match out of the three IMO.
The pace was higher and it didn't feel as draggy as HHH vs 'Taker.
@@RaphaelJohn yeah tbh even though triple h and undertaker tore the house down it does drag in parts just like their hell in a cell match unlike Rhodes and Rey
I must be in the minority here. Love Undertaker though I do, he’s my all-time favourite, but that match wasn’t all that good…at all, for me.
Punk vs Taker pretty much saved Mania 29 as well
Can’t argue with that. I was in NY two weeks before and there was signs everywhere for WM29, and MSG was covered in advertising for the HoF too. Looked like they were preparing a classic. Then the event was really crap and bored, saved only by Taker v CM Punk, and Punk should have been in the main event vs Cena anyway!
@@hutchefc1982 I would have enjoyed a triple threat between Punk, Cena and Rock
I thought Triple H and Lesnar put on a good showing
HHH vs Lesnar was a pretty good brawl just a little too long but Punk vs Taker was def match of the night
@@Kalel2.0 had that been their first encounter, I would have been way more up for it. Should have been a 10-minute dash (like Punk vs. Kingston at Full Gear) full of weapons and hard spots, and give lesnar the win - bish, bash, bosh.
They really over complicated it, didn’t they🤣
When it comes to WrestleMania 27, I thought the CM Punk Randy Orton match wasn't too bad either but ok
Shawn Michaels vs Mankind at Mind Games is in my top ten favourite matches of all time.
a big personal pick of my own is randy orton vs christian at over the limit 2011 for the big gold belt, imo its one of the most underrated matches ever in one of the most underrated rivalries ever & i actually much prefer it over the summerslam 2011 no holds barred match they had
it's on the same ppv as:
-jerry lawler vs micheal cole in a kiss my foot match
-a boring 'i quit' match main event between john cena & the miz for the wwe title
-a dq finish for ezekiel jackson vs wade barrett for the ic title
& some other bland matches that you probably don't remember
Ditto to CM Punk VS Daniel Bryan in the following year's PPV
Just reading that match card made me sick
On Wrestlemania 27 I would mention Punk vs Orton. That was a fun match
This is a great list, one of the best you have done
The one that comes to mind for me is Sasha v Charlotte v Becky Lynch at WM32
I personally liked the ladder match for the ic title too, but yea that triple threat was the best match no doubt, despite charlotte winning
I prefer the ladder match over that Triple Threat
Woah! Wrestlemania 27 also had Punk/Orrin too!
After hearing nonstop gunfire and explosions while taking down Swan and the crossfire in Fallout 4, just the intro eased my tension and I stg I got a serotonin rush when Adam started talking. Gamer PTSD lmao
HBK vs Razor Ramon at SummerSlam Is still One of My favourite matches of all time. Definitely the best ladder match
Swerve in our Glory vs The Acclaimed at All Out 2022. Other than MJFs return, that PPV blew
Austin vs Bret at mania 13 was a great example of blood working in a match.
Love watching these list
And listening to adam is something else 😁😁🥰
Cena vs styles on summerslam 2016 has to be an honorable mention, nth could follow it, seth/balor kinda saved it, lesnar/orton was sth, but cena/styles broke the internet!
Honestly wondering how Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell 2019 didn't make this list.
Recent example I can think of is Halloween Havoc 2022, that main event is truly one of if not my favorite matches of all time, but the rest of the show blew ass cheeks
just warmed my lunch
great timing adam!
Man, I remember that Cena/Lesnar/Rollins match being absolutely GOLD
"But if you want something that's all killer, no filler..." Missed opportunity to plug Sum 41's debut album 😏
I would recommend "best crown jewel matches" as a list but it might be too hard to do
Rollins is top tier. I love how he has a triple threat highlighted here after he just recently at Survivor Series was part of another fantastic triple threat.
Undertaker Vs Triple H was a classic, Same with Their WM 28 end of the era HIAC match
Punk vs Orton WM27.. that was was also a banger
The usos have been one of the greatest tag teams of their era and honestly one of the best of all time.
I feel like every day is one day closer to Adam actually hating his job as opposed to it being a bit. Just a gradual shift.
While not belonging on the list, I think a good honorable mention could be Andrade vs the Demon Finn Balor for the intercontinental title at the ppv Super Showdown 2019. A decently brutal match that was quite entertaining, especially alongside the rather dull rest of the ppv.
Love the Sum 41 reference!
I remember that match, #7, I was a hardcore fan of the Shield but for that one night I was cheering so hard for Goldust and Cody.
Watching trying to think what will be number 1. Then it comes up and it's like Ohh Yes it had to be.
Another idea for a list top ten ppv matches overlooked by another match from the same event
I was a Jersey Shore fan coming up so I partially tuned into that Mania to see Snooki and she was actually really fun and performed well
Hey Adam, the women's "Stinkface Match" was at SummerSlam, not Wrestlemania 2000.
The Rhodes vs. The Shield match at Battlegrounds is my favorite match ever.
Literally perfect timing for uploading
Speaking of all these WrestleMania matches... I'd kill for "10 fascinating facts about about WrestleMania " to return. Please PFK/WrestleTalk, Please so hard 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏
But Wrestlemania 27 also had Rey vs Cody and Cm Punk vs Randy Orton (two matches I liked) so maybe it’s not a one match card
Love you Adam doin God’s work 👍👍👍
i really wanna know how Adam would book… the summer of Punk plz 😁 keep up the amazing work to all of partsFunKnown
It's super old, but that was the very first How WWE Should Have Booked video he did at WhatCulture
I loved the in your house pay per views because it allowed a WWE pay-per-view to come to my town in Louisville Kentucky rather than only giant cities like LA and New York
Backlash 2018 had those shenanigans with Elias. That was pretty fun.
At least Miz and Seth were the opening match so you don't have to fast forward though half the show.
Yes! Nothing makes my day like a new Adam List!
Thank you Adam 🙏
Mankind and HBK? I think I've never seen a match between them. I have to watch that now.
3 of these shows happened in Philly...where I've been to all of my live shows. Lol. Extreme Rules last year was great tho
adam been carrying partsfunknown since day one.
2:44 I can't be the only who read Daniel Bryan vs Big Ass lol
“Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass anyone………ANYONE????” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cm punk vs Randy Orton was also pretty fun from Mania 27
I watched the lesnar/cena/rollins match right after on the WWE yt channel...and it was great
"If everybody goes home early to beat the traffic, nobody is going to beat the traffic"
- Wisdom with Plumpy
The Elimination Chamber from New Year's Revolution 2005.
That card was an absolute write-off that's somehow managed to slip under the radar. Genuinely one of the worst PPV's ever until the main event. Two back-to-back title matches that end due to shoot injury, Jerry Lawler vs Muhammad Hassan, an IC title match that's essentially a 10-minute promo followed by a rollup....oh and a Snitsky match 🤣🤣
Then the main event comes along and bangs like a screen door in a hurricane. Violent, bloody (if that's your thing), plus the storytelling of Evolution imploding is done brilliantly and sets up Batista going to WM21. The absolute definition of a one match show
Rhodes vs Mysterio was really good at Mania 27. Cool spots, good story, great finish.
That hardcore match in wrestlemanina 2000 was decent for what it was and I definitely agree the angle Jericho Benoit match could of been longer
One more I'll add is Bad Blood 97... terrible matches and all in the shocking same day news of Brian Pillman's death. But the best bell to bell Hell in a Cell match ever between HBK and Taker
May not be kosher to say this since 2007, but imo the Triple Threat main event of Wrestlemania 20 is the greatest triple threat match ever.
New List Ideas: Top 15 Best/Worst matches, both PPV and non PPV, of NXT Black and Gold Era.
After a terrible day, Adam's voice always puts a smile on my face.
Wow, three entry's are shows I was at live
We need to appreciate these guys at WrestleTalk and PFK for sacrificing themselves by watching these terrible PPVs to entertain us.
The Tombstone near fall in Taker/HHH is the greatest near fall of all time and I'm not sure it'll ever be topped.
Was gonna put in the Rumble triple threat as an honourable mention so happy to see it first
Now I want the Top 10 Two Great Wrestling Matches on Terrible Pay-Per-Views. The only one I can think off the top of my head is Bret vs Owen and HBK vs Razor Ladder Match 1 at WrestleMania X.
cm punk vs randy orton on wrestlemania 27 was very good too imo
That Battleground was in Philly. I went specifically because of Punjabi Prison. I knew I needed to see that train wreck in person.
I woke up to a new adam video the second I woke up
Backlash 2018...that was when I gave up.
Idea for a video: 10 Best Matches That Ended With A DQ/Countout
Number 1 would be Kurt Angle vs Steve Austin at Summerslam 2001. Christian vs Randy Orton at MITB 2011 would also be up there.
Pretty surprised that Shawn Michaels vs the Undertaker from WrestleMania 25 is missing
I don't remember that mania being good coz of the main event
Correct me if I'm wrong but i feel it should have been on this list
I want an Adam list where he lists people who have TECHNICALLY worked for WWE. Combine his love for minutia and technicalities from Board Games to his love/hate relationship with wrestling.
thanks to this video, I now commonly use the phrase "deez nuts lasagna"
One of the best vids in a while this. I thought Shawn v Razor at SS ‘95 was a shoe-in for number one spot though. Even as a 13 year old I remember thinking, what is this crapfest of a SS? Why is Mabel in the main event? Why is Skip vs Barry H allowed on a PPV? Why is Bret fighting a bloomin’ dentist? And also, where has Shawn v Sid gone and why is Razor v Shawn 2 one of the best matches I’ve ever seen?
Taker vs brock is the obit match I've gone on to rewarch from that, also the promo package for that match is better than the Monster video
Rey/Cody & Punk/Orton from WM 27 were also very good IMO
Adam never fails to make me laugh
HBK vs. Undertaker at Badd Blood 1997 should have WON this list, let alone be on it.
3:53 boy this aged well cuz NXT is gonna have their version one week from this sunday
I’d like to add Kurt Angle v Chris Benoit at Unforgiven 2002. That was a god awful PPV except for that match. I mean this was the show after King of the Ring (I think) which was the conclusive death show of the 2002 nWo angle - I recall around this time that ended but the Angle v Benoit match was Wrestlemania main event quality it was such a good singles match - same with HHH v Jericho in the Hell in a Cell match from the same year at Judgment Day - brilliant gimmick match - climbed all over the cage and was bloody as hell - brilliant. Same with Summerslam 2002 with the Michaels v HHH street fight, though I think the rest of the show was okay, that was standout. In fact if you stacked all the good matches (Hogan v Rock at WM18) from that year (HBK v HHH three stages of hell at Armageddon) into one card (2002 Royal Rumble kicked ass) you could be forgiven for thinking 2002 was a good year - it wasn’t, it was a year which should have culminated in nWo v DX but was a terrible soup of awfulness instead.
Great American Bash 04? Why should I forget about Guerrero vs JBL? That match was great
I remember they re aired the Rollins Lesnar Cena triple threat match the next night on Raw because it got snowed out
The Rhodes brothers vs the shield will always be a top 10 favorite match of mine, it’s not the best, but damn it’s just good.
How long till we get: Adam's Top 10 Adam Blampied Top 10 Lists?
_Like...I wouldn't complain, just wondering._
