Two things. Dare I say the guy across the street is dominating you lol. Also, maybe putting some underground edging at the border will allow division between your neighbors grass. You want a definitive domination line for maximum effect.

never worked with it - mine that I have is Princess77. I have several vids on the channel about it going way back to when I planted it last year

That sprayer is discontinued any advise or recommendations seems better than a pump sprayer . I only do 5k sqft

Shame it's a $600 sprayer, but glad to see my local HD has the Milorganite. I'm off-script and will be laying down the next application around Halloween.
I think it's more like $400 but def not cheap - it's a luxury item for sure. You can do the same thing with a hand can or backpack but when it comes to a blanket app like pre-emergent the spray pro delivers flawless coverage.

Can I put down milo after Trugreen puts down its fertilizer? I was told not to....by them but I want the the masters advice.

Glad you made it back safe from SC. Some areas got hit pretty hard here, luckily all I got was a little roof damage and lost a Bradford Pear from the yard.
Allyn, I have prodiamine that I bought last year for a pre emergent herbicide. How does this compare with the Dithiopyr because I still have plenty of the prodiamine and hate to have wasted money on it.

I use milorganite on my lawn here in MN distributing with my Earthway 2150. Just put my last fert down before winter. I had a similar conversation this summer (July) with another customer in Menards. I had to go to three different home improvement stores because milorganite was sold out for a couple weeks everywhere. When I finally found it, I was shoulder to shoulder with another lawn nut conversing about milorganite and grabbing up their remaining stock. Oh and...neighbors be jealous of my lawn stripes (Toro Lawn Striper). Love the channel and advice. It's good to take pride in your property. Thanks Allyn!

At frame 11:53 I noticed the agitator on the pinion shaft was pushed all the way on. Did you do this for more action on the contents? My directions on the Earthway 2600 shows it stopping on the first rounded area. I used my 2600 for the first time with applying Lesco dimension with a full BB sized particle and the spreader didn't work well. When pushed on all the way on the agitator isn't secure.

Recently got a Prizelawn spreader and I can't find anything on the number to set for lbs per thousand. Are there any spreaders that are similar that I could use those numbers?
If my lot is 0.25 acres and that equals 10890 sq feet and my house is about 1300 sq feet can i subtract the two numbers 9590 to get the square footage of my lawn?
I just over-seeded my Bermuda lawn in ga with perennial ryegrass. How does milorganite work on rye? I applied a quick release fertilizer to get it started but could I use milorganite for the second application?

Does your bumpy lawn cause your spreader chute to go closed from the vibration. I too have this spreader and it constantly goes closed on me, unless I hold the control rod open manually with my left hand. Can you relate? If so, how did you fix the problem?

Great video. I had to do a overhaul of my yard this weekend. Top dressing, overseeded with some rye so I can have a green lawn over the winter and did some DEEP aerating and soil amending in a couple problem areas.
I wish my weeds when away when the temperatures "dipped into the 70s" during winter. Nice update. Thx.

It depends on where you're located, you can do one big application like Allyn did or you can do several small one.

Love buying Milorganite and nobody knows what it is like that guy at HD. So true that Scott's is always all gone and plenty Milorganite for the rest of us!

What was the chemical you use as the pre-emergant? Also how does the push sprayer get its compression to spray, is it generated by the rotation of the wheels?
correct, the pump is powered when you push. the pre-m is dithiopyr

Great video. I have become a Lawn Care Nut now. I too have switched to all Milorganite and have had great results on my fescue lawn in SW Virginia. My neighbors and my church are curious to use it as well now. Keep up the great work! Now If only I can rid my lawn with crabgrass!

What is the advantage of the bucket Style spreader vs the hopper type
Just got the Earthway 2170 Commercial Spreader. was actually cheaper than the Earthway 2150 but not as cheap as the 2600.. $195 vs $217 vs $120.. I went with bigger hopper as my previous spreader I could only get 1/2 bag of fert in hopper. Now I can put 2 bags in and not have to reload for my entire front yard. I struggled to get it to spread right and the half spread was engaged. Saw this video wodnering if I missed something. Instructions on assembly could be slightly better. Probably my mistake but on one part the instructions called for logner screws than needed. and used shorter ones. I know kinda too late. But probably a good vid would be assembling one.. But feel and stability of the spreader is night and day better over the Scott Mini I had..But the Scott did its job for 5 years

What setting would I use to put 15lbs/sqft on the Lesco Trugreen spreader??
I am not sure because at TG we never used any product that required that heavy of an app. Everything was calibrated for 3LBs/1000 for consistency and efficiency.

I just bought the spreader and im a certified pest control here in South Florida, lets see how its going to be.
At my local garden center in Wichita they have a Fertilome spreader with side spread control. Looks like a rebranded earthway with a yellow hopper. It does not have the solid linkage control lever though.

I am using Milorganite and walking the 3 to 3.5 mph walking speed. I want to put down 3/4 pounds on the ground. I am thinking 19-20?????

Early in the year a seed meal such as soy bean, canola seed, alfalfa or corn gluten will, when they begin to break down from warmth and moisture will inhibit germination of any surface seeds, including grass seeds.
So do your seeding in fall.
The soy bean meal is my favorite, it's analysis is 7-2-0, and the down side is it smells a bit as it breaks down.
I need that sprayer you have that you can walk behind. I just last week paced my lawn like 100 times to blanket spray the backyard with the 1 gallon thing getting like a foot each snake shaped pass I did
