    Part 2 coming this weekend...
In this video we talk about my failed soil test that was contaminated with Milorganite - but we still see a need for some Potash, so it's time to "Thrower Down" - but first we have to unbox our product and a new hose end sprayer - then we have to figure out our mix rates and then...

Thanks to you I've turned my lawn which was mostly dandelion, crabgrass and other weeds into one of the greenest in the neighbourhood. Thanks for the informative videos! Keep it up!

most creative unboxing I've ever seen. I've enjoyed this channel for some time now. I also just used the baby shampoo trick when I sprayed clover and it worked slick. thanks!

Followed same steps. Wish I did this sooner. Soil test came back the same, very low on potash. Ever since putting that down, yard came back green and thick very quickly.
Note, gave my test results to a my lawn guy since large qtys of potash isn't easy to purchase at big box stores.

Here a local company is providing kelp meal for fast acting potassium, it's also sold as sand aid for sand based golf greens, for long lasting they offer Jersey greensand, both are granular.

My Phosphorous was 14.42 on a 2 year old lawn on a 2 year old property that never had anything done to it after the sod was installed. We just have massive amounts of phosphorous in our soil in Florida.

Omg “throw er down!” I have always wondered when our lawn company left the note on our door saying all the things they did to our lawn (Throw er down!) and potash was written down. My wife and I always shrugged our shoulders and scratched our heads (Throw er down!) now we know!

  • @Munky332

here's a question for you, is there a bit more simple method to maybe not "dominate" but to get a "semi-decent" more "set and forget" lawn? Just got back from deployment so i'm just now getting to do lawn stuff, but I travel a lot. i'd like to keep my lawn looking fairly decent, but not go all out. I have a built in irrigation, but need to fix it (guy who I paid to blow it out before i left, didn't do it right so it froze and cracked over winter) I'd like my wife to be able to maybe mow once or twice a week herself, maybe handle the auto-irrigation, and maybe put down some fert at most.
I'm in NJ, and I have to deal with some major problems, seems I have a bit of moss and lavender, as well as crabgrass and other issues i'm working on. I probably need to aerate, and dethatch, prob do some of that this weekend. near a large wooded area so a lot of the weeds come out from there and my neighbor who doesn't take care of their lawn at all.
also have a dog, and I don't/can't expect my wife to not just let her go to the bathroom in the lawn -- rather force dog to go somewhere else, but she keeps it to back yard so there is that.
    any help/recommendations?

sure, throw down Milorganite 5x per year and mow when it needs it. You'll have a nice green patch of "stuff" all year long. No one says you have to have a 100% weed free lawn -- weeds are green too when you fertilize them too.

Great video as usual! Love the channel. I just moved into a new house and the prior owner put Bermuda seed down in the fescue lawn (SE Virginia). The Bermuda has taken over in the front yard where it gets the most sunlight, but not in the sides or rear where it's nice and shaded. I'm trying to eradicate it and go back to all fescue. Any advice?

Your pH is 5.12!!?? Target should be 6.3-6.8 for healthy turfgrass. Also, P is very immobile in the soil, so dont take the soil test ppm at face value. I usually divide the test number by 12 to get whats actually available to the plant..
