- As mentioned in the previous video I've been enjoyed running some trains for the past few days. The branch line has been used for many hours now and everything is still working as it should. Here's a load of clips from various running sessions over the past few days. More stuff on the way as usual. Cheers.
Music in the intro - Danya Vodovoz - Blue Journey

As I've said before, I worked track side in the 80s, on the East coast main line. these videos really take me back, great work.
4k modelling from a VHS era, absolutely stunning.
I have been following this channel for about 6 years now, absolutely love how this layout has progressed and it's so satisfying to watch the trains go round - I could never get bored
Well, as a plumber did 945 $US of work on our sink faucets yesterday morning, I binge-watched old Everard Jct. videos with a miniature chihuahua on my lap. And here I am, watching another and enjoying it immensely. I must say that I am impressed not only by your skills, but also by your willingness to take a section of layout and completely rework it to better represent your vision. I consider you and the Dean Park guy to be the spiritual UK descendants of John Allen and his Gorre & Dapheted. Cheers from Wisconsin.
Thanks Andrew, I'm glad you enjoyed it. More videos on the way.
A very impressive layout you could almost think it was a full size. I am very impressed with the finish of the track very very realistic Richard 👍
I know absolutely nothing about model railways but I love this channel 👍🏻.
Brilliant! Glad you enjoy it, more vids on the way.
Just loving the 80’s sound track ….. perfect
Nice to see 'CAST' and 'BELL' containers - I work at a dock, and those are two old friends I have not seen for many years.
Richard, what a cracking video, I could easily watch it everyday. In fact I might even do that. You are in my top three. Cheers Greg
Just out of interest, what's your other two?😁
I know how much work and energy you put into your usual videos, so all the more reason to just sit back and enjoy your running session and just enjoy the amazing nuances and watch the trains and cars. Supreme work, you are a legend, and deservedly so.
Cheers Anthony. Took several evenings to film this one, glad you enjoyed it.
All those long hours Richard, and the hard work. My goodness the success is clear for all to se in this video. Excellent. Cheers, Bob
Absolutely great running session. I'm following your channel for quite some time now, and learned a lot of interesting things with your modelling work. Thank you for sharing.
Nice range of different view points there Richard, you can't beat trains running! excellent work.
Imagine how much better off the world would be if people watched an hour of this every day at 6 instead of the "news". Terrific work as always! Cheers from Canada.
It's all coming together, it's great to see you having a fun time running trains on your amazing layout, you have a nice variety of rolling stock and locomotives, this does take me back to the times I used to go by train from Hayes to Reading to attend courses.
Inspirational stuff, observation is what's making this realistic, too often layouts are packed with huge MPDs and unbelievable scenery, excellent work look forward to your next film.
Cheers Mike. I settled on very few sidings and no yards when I planned the layout. Cramming the layout with track makes its difficult to look realistic.
Your opening footage looks so realistic! A testament to your modelling skills Richard.
Favourite view at 16:10 - So much detail, it's such a good layout - Makes me want to go out and start a track!
Branch line definitely looking better with the angles. I'm sure you haven't, but don't forget the limited clearance plates on the bridge girders! Looking forward to some station work!
You beat me to it!
the branch line cutting is spot on
I was a driver on the east coast main line , Kings Cross .
Only Engine that's missing is the Class 55 Deltic .
Great Layout .
What an improvement populating your trains with people inside them!
John Canada
I thought the trees were swaying at 6:45! Great job. Enjoy watching your layout videos. Thank you for sharing.
Came here from the Hornby TV programme, staying because of the quality content 👍
I’ve pretty much fallen out of love with model railways but watching your videos gives me immense joy. Such an awesome layout!
Thanks Richard, you are making my week. its nearly surreal to see 2 videos in one week. You did a great job there! Im pretty interested how the station will turn out, once its finished.
Well done Richard its amazing. Nice speeds to just right. Love the sound of the rail joints. It does look like the real thing and sounds like it to. The street scene with the moving cars superb. You are Mr Motivator to all of us. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes. Charles. Canterbury.
Thanks Charles. Long way to go yet but I'm quite pleased with how things are looking. Cheers
I hope you know, I paused Friends to watch this.
Good, friends is shit
@@lewisfitzgerald7146 Not as shit as ya nanas shed.
@@NathanielKempson 😂🤣👌 Can't think of a good enough comment but that made me laugh more than it should have. Poor Nana.😂
Your layout just gets better and better Richard, I especially like the branch line snaking it's way down from the main line.. Well done!
Just excellent one of the very best.
I love me some running session. When I think back to the time when you first decided to scrap EJ1, I am amazed by how far you have come with EJ 2. Your skills have progressed so much. Your TEA's look amazing and the container train looks amazing with some containers missing. Thanks for sharing.
Just smashing, your weathering skills are amazing. Also thank you for all of your
tutorial. Hope you're enjoying the car and your new job. Regards.
600 thumbs up love your layout fantastic always watching cheers KC Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🤝😎🙂👍
Love the branch line one of my favourite parts of your layout 👍
Great Opening Music ( & Layout ! )
Hi Richard, looks real or as close as you can with 00, coming together very nicely looking forward to the station build. I think the ballast and grass is the best I have ever seen on any layout. stay safe.
Just like to say how I always enjoy & look forward to your videos. I'm unsure how long you've been producing these but it must be many years that I've had the pleasure of viewing your content. It's an impressive achievement that you've maintained such regular and informative material. Thanks for sharing your work.
Dear Everard Junction your layout makes me thing of reading before great Western mainline electrification and the rebuilting of reading station.
Yep, I always think of it as being Reading, by no means a direct copy but that's the feel I get from the place. I suppose Slough could be another possibility, the station's more the right size.
@@2H80vids the reason why it makes me think of reading more than any other station in the NSE sector of British rail because of the diesel mainline and third rail branch line.
Superb as always! 👍🏻
Cracking opening tunes! Very late 80s!
Your attention to detail is superb, I need to spend more time getting my scenery up to scratch.
Fantastic been following this build from the beginning.
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. Roy.
Damn those super elevated curves really make the train look good. Leaning in and speeding through. Great video, cheers!
Stunning as always Richard. Your videos always make me want to get my layout running again!
This is what the hobby should always be about it is always good to see trains being made and ran on a great layout.
Layout is looking superb! Fantastic running session! Joe
Fantastic fantastic! Great running session Richard 👍 thanks for putting together and sharing, cheers Darrell
I would love to see an full room shot all the way around. I have a mental picture but I can’t imagine what’s on the other side of the room!
I gotta say, the angle at 7:16 looking up from the street is properly impressive. Lovely job.
Fantastic. Your track work is so good Richard
Amazing as usual, Richard. The none-stop action of a busy main line! Too late now, I think, as it doesn't seem you have the pointwork to support it, but I think the branch line would have been absolutely perfect for that big tanker train you have. I can just picture those tanks snaking their way over the points and down through the brush to some imaginary refinery somewhere in the distance. Oh well, local passenger services it is then. You definitely need a cheeky Pacer screaming along those tight curves. The passengers will be thrilled!
All the best. Mike.
I'd like to add a decent 142 to the layout. One is in development, looking forward to it.
Great layout
I don't think even Clapham junction could be that busy but I loved the running session. Well done Richard.
Brilliant running session Richard reminds when l used to spot arrows Oxford and Didcot Ron @ Willenhall Parkway.
Fantastic video. The variety of trains, realistic running speeds and the camera angles. Great.
An excellent running session.
Thanks for posting.
Jeff
Absolutely fantastic
One of my favorite channels!!! Love your passion for these models!!!
So Wonderful to watch!
It looks superb mate. So so realistic. Always eagerly await your videos as they are always so interesting and informative.
as an addenda, I would say that you are an expert in the scratch building scene.
Really enjoyed the running session and all the locos and rolling stock 😊
Great running session Rich.
Wow, what a great realistic journey, your layout must be massive….great stuff…..
Very very very enjoyable.................I've always enjoyed seeing a 50, yet your Large Logo 47 on the NSE rake sure did look wonderful. All the best and thank you, Dave.
I've never been into model railways or model-building. I wasn't even alive during the time that your layout is based on, but I just love these videos and I don't really know why
Great work, very enjoyable to watch 👍
Thats not a scale prototype - its ART ! wow.
Sometimes people open their gardens up for horticultural folk to come and see it and marvel at it’s excellence…some even sell tickets…if Everard Junction ever did the same (unlikely as who wants total randoms in their house and loft) I’d be at the front of the queue…
Custom destination blinds - excellent!
Very nice Richard, some great views
I don't normally watch running sessions. However, your layout is so beautiful I must stop everything and watch. Great video and a great layout. Cheers - Larry.
Thanks for sharing. 😎👌🏼
Excellent video again Richard can’t wait for next one
Brilliant layout, really inspires 👍🏻
I love these intros! There brilliant!
Another Fantastic Running session,! So much Variety in rolling stock !😀
& Locos of course!
Great running session, great editing.
👍👍👍 Great video
No words really….Brilliant would cover it I reckon!!
This is such an inspirational layout par excellence !!!!! Astonishing detail. !!!!. Just starting out in N gauge and your kind of ballasting is what I'm aiming for . I'm actually aiming to paint most of my points a concrete colour as well as more of these are on the main lines these days. All you need now is that class 59 in a mustard and grey ARC livery and you're done !!!! Please hurry up PECO....You need that code 60 third rail and i could do with some more unifrog points !!!!
Joyous!
At 5:21 on right side, it would be great to see parked cars outside the block of flats, actually a Reliant Robin wouldn’t look out of place for that era ;-)
great video mate keep up the hard work well worth it
That's cool that you managed to get the third rail parts finally.
Looks great man, wish you had sound in a few of the models would bring it to life even further if used in a subtle way
I'm not so sure Eric, DCC sound is all well and good, but it's not the be all and end all!
Besides, it's nice to hear the wheels clicking and clacking! 😁😁😁
@@IronHorseRailways its not but if done well and not stupid loud ect it can just add to the overall immersion
@@UndergroundEric getting the volume of the models balanced with the ambient room noise, track noise, any other additional audio such as music or environmental sounds is a tricky task! Takes a lot of trial and error to get it spot on.
Also you can't really say what's too loud or not, after all you can't assume those who watch have the same set up at home and that will have a bigger affect than anything else on the final result...
Cheers!😁
Another brilliant video keep up the good work
Love your work hope one day I can make my layout one day.
Enjoyed the video today thanks.
Thanks for sharing!
I love this channel ❤️
A pleasure Richard, an absolute pleasure 👍👍 Iain
Let’s go, another upload
Love this vid. Keep it up mate
Great running session Richard 2 videos in one week I could get use to that.- Nicholas.
Looking very nice, need to sort my loft out and build me a layout
Great video
Rich, thanks for the music note ;-)
A bit of modern retro wave......nice......
