I've been doing Amazon flex for roughly 3 months, and I've watched quite a few videos on being a flex driver from different people, so far, none has addressed the fact that if you accept a 4 hour block for example, 40 packages, you don't get 4 hours to deliver those packages, because chances are, you'll be sent about an hour away from the warehouse for your first delivery, and your last delivery will likely be an hour from your home.
This happened to me on my 1st time out. The area was soo rural that my phone signal and GPS barely worked. I signed up for a 3 hr block but it took me almost 5 hrs.
Don’t you get payed extra ? I watched another video and she explained if you are passing your time you can call the help center and they pay you for that time ?
I deliver in Massachusetts and more often than none, the blocks are shorter than they say. Today I did a 3 hour that started at 2:30 and first stop was 23 mins from warehouse and the actual deliveries took me an hour and some change. I was already home at 4:30.
Who pay for gas? YOU Who’s vehicle is being destroyed by amazon’s delivery? YOURS Did you get paid for the milage you drove from last delivery to return home? NO. You drove for free to return home!! Think you did delivery for a year. How much milage you put on your vehicle? Lets do a math 5 hour block you will minimum drive 200 miles. If you do two 5 hours block a day you drive 400 miles or more. Five days a week 400 miles per day = 2000 miles per week!!! 52 weeks of year 52*2000 = 104000 miles per year!! Thats correct! You are putting 104000 miles in a year. Your vehicle is gone!!! Now deduct your vehicle price from your earnings and gas money. So much you made???
I agree. You don't know where you will be delivered when you pick up blocks. You will not know until you get to the warehouse. I had a block for the city. The warehouse was 30 to 40 minutes away from me. It took me 2 hours to drive to the city in gridlock traffic. There is no parking in the Downtown area. I had 8 deliveries. I had 40 pieces to deliver. It was very physically demanding. I did invest in a Dollie and hand truck which helped. The distribution center I went to did not supply vests. It was a learning experience. I rather do food deliveries and other part-time gigs. You can make good money, but it is a physically demanding job.
Yea you’ll get a block like that every now and then that is definitely not worth it.. more of them depending on where you work. Food delivery is less demanding for sure
This is definitely for part time! I did 44packages /4hr block =in 2hrs and 45min it paid 116$,with a boot bracelet on my left foot! Only those that know how to hustle in life will understand and those that want life easy then beg for money!

Good morning I was deactivated from Amazon Flex WF deliveries because my son was decided to take a selfish of himself when I hit schedule now on the app. I called support and explained the situation and how it was just a stupid mistake. After 5 days, I am not activated yet and I keep getting the same robo emails stating that the review will be completed within 3 days of the original activation email (8/30). My main question is how is your car's shape? I drive a 2016 Acura TLX and I did my very first Amazon Flex shift yesterday (4 hour $72 block). It was surprisingly easy but my only concern is if the depreciation if my car outweighs the earnings.
It’s an Acura you’ll be fine. Also it’s a 5 year old Acura you already deprecated significantly by now. If you are concerned you could just buy a beater van & drive that

I've just watched over 10 of your videos in the last few hours and I always have to adjust my volume level when I open a new video of yours. I'd suggest either always using your lav mic to get consistent audio quality or use an equalizer in post production. Thanks for the content!
