I wish I could have met John he always comes across as a gentle soul and great guy ..the fitness industry has lost a star. God bless you rest in peace 🙏🏻
To the editor ,close friends family or who ever is uploading these videos, thank you, I've only come across John but wish i had of years ago as comes across as such a nice guy💪🏻 and very good at explaining also. Condolences to the family 💚
Well said. I just found this channel, as well. He seems like he was such a kind and genuine man who was passionate about sharing his vast expertise and love of fitness with others. He clearly was an outstanding coach and teacher. The way he can explain and demonstrate things fantastic. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.
just discovered him through dr.mike since i'm starting out bodybuilding, studying him, can't even watch these videos he's like the human everyone needs. Rest in peace.
he really did train as hard as he could everytime. a true inspiration to me, I use his techniques whenever I have them integrated after I have a good rest
I agree on JM's training effort. I got away with a lot of pushing myself hard, but as I got older, I realized it was too taxing on my aging metabolism. Bottom line you have to slow down a bit I think, and the habits we got away with in our youth, fuggedaboutit in our later years. Eat clean, workout, stay lean. At some point, our bodies cannot handle the stress they once could.
@@NFL1976 I won't disagree with that, what age approximately would you say a slowdown is to be considered? I'm 35 and feel like I can work as hard as ever, I do less volume than I did in my early twenties but I was so much weaker and had way less mm connection then that I dont attribute much of that to age currently
The legend lives on. You're a beast! Your kids must be so proud, my dad was just like you, warm, kind, disciplined, and works his ass off, sets a great example of how to be a great person. Your workouts destroy me, humble me. I appreciate you deeply. I hope your wife and kids find peace.
always forget that he passed 😢 jheeze it's rough watching him knowing he's not around anymore. Rest John Meadows ❤️ thank you for continuing to keep this channel up I learn tons
Been working out for years, just found this guy and am using his techniques in the gym every workout. So sorry to his family members... you can tell he was such a good dude RIP. :(
I'm 64 & just restarted gentle weight training. Suddenly this geezer turned up on my you tube. Super content . What a terrific person. Hope the family are okay Best wishes from the UK
RIP John we miss you man you will always be in our hearts 🙏 Thank you for everything you have done for us I will continue watching your content and keep using your techniques for the rest of my life .
I just found this guy and his videos, really sad to hear he passed away. His advice is really practical and sensible and is helping me around a lot of sticking points in my program. Also ever notice how the more you learn and experience you gain programs are kind of 50/50 on adherence and intuition?
Heroes live on... Grateful for his knowledge and experience. Still learning from people like John , although I myself have been working out for more than 25 years now. RIP !
Miss you brother! You will always be one of the most thoughtful teachers. Rarely so instructors or trainers even think about the health aspect like tendonitis and etc. The fact that you put so much thought in not just training but to keep everything healthy for the longevitiy is absolutely amazing.
Miss you big dog. Your knowledge that you passed on to so many people is astonishing. I still watch most of your videos that help me years ago. Rest easy
Like so many other people, Thanks to the people who are keeping this channel going and educating veteran and new lifters alike , the man had such great knowledge and gladly he shared it Thanks for keeping the channel up and running
It makes me sad as much as I enjoy watching but I love that he mentions Jeff Nippard, and just a testament to the similarities in training methods. Thankfully, Jeff should be around for decades.
I had crippling tendinitis and couldn't do any kind of lifting without pain. I started skipping rope for some type of pain free workout and started using a 3 pound rope every of round of skipping. After 6 weeks my tendinitis was gone. Anytime I feel it creeping back I skip rope a few times a week and the pain is completely gone again.
that doesn't make sense, unless maybe you just needed 6 weeks of rest for it to go away. The rope skipping shouldn't have really done much to make it go away.
@@monkeyb1820 I'm guessing all the extra work my forearms got, especially with the weighted rope, just helped strengthen the muscles connecting to my elbow helping them heal. As I said before if I feel that same elbow and forearm pain start to come back I add rope skipping in my routine and it starts clearing up pretty quickly.
@@Slowther87 I guess whatever works. You could probably sit in a recliner and hold a couple of bars and move your arms around in that motion (although the rope jumping definitely has some extra cardio and leg benefits).
I just discovered this gentle giant yesterday only to discover he has passed away😢 I still want to say, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'll make sure to incorporate some of your techniques into my work out plans,RIP.
I have been training for around 6 weeks now I'm 39 have no real idea what I'm doing I just watch UA-cam videos for exercises, I work 13 hours per day don't get alot of time to spend in the gym 45 mins most 4 or 5 days per week. Today I did triceps and biceps I usually do biceps first wait a minute or so before each exercise today I didn't have much time so I did 1 bicep rep then triceo rep and alternated like that with no rest and my arms had the best pump I've ever had although I was aching it felt amazing
Hi John thank you so much for sharing your experience I'm 56 years old been working out for years I feel I am a decent shape but want to grow my arms bigger would you suggest doing one full arm workout on the same day one day a week (15 to 20 sets) or train biceps and triceps on separate days once a week (15 to 20 sets) or one full arm workout twice a week (9 to 12 sets) throughout the years I tried so many things would love to know what you suggest thank you for your time God bless
Rip John. A legend and still passing on his knowledge. Thank you keeping his channel going 🙏

Is that not what they’ve been doing? Not all of this stuff is new right?
@@AlternativeStrings pretty sure this is like stuff from the archives that didn’t get posted. Might be also old content.
