Who’s gonna tell him he didn’t have to drill holes, the plastic mount is made to fit factory torque screws sticking out already..
Sam in mine they did not line up.... if they had I would have used them..
Really clear and well done video - thanks for taking the time
My kit is on the way
Installed one, works great. Not a big deal to install.
Great vid, thanks. Your X3 is too clean though. Just installed mine after having my dual batts die on me but one has been in my X3 since 2018. Mounted mine same location and did take pics before disconnecting the batts but making double sure as is my 1st time for connecting all. Also noted on one vid best to have a batt maintainer as you meantioned however now thinking since I have 2 figures :- )) Have a great prosperous and healthy new years, be safe!!
Got one, easy install, works great.
I just got this exact kit. It's hard to tell in your video the exact size of the wires you got. But in mine I got 8 gauge wires. Their kit is advertised to come with 4 gauge wires. Seems kind a shady to advertise one size and give them a smaller size wire. The rest of the kit seems well made though.
Hmmm I will have to look at mine but I don't remember them being very small. Since I'm mainly using it to charger it would be fine, jumping is probably not that many amps on one of these.
Yeah same here I'll be mostly using it for charging purposes. I did contact Kemimoto about the wire size and how they're advertising it as 4 gauge. They did change the listing on Ebay to 8 gauge but I don't believe they changed it on other sites they it sell on. Even if jumping does draw some serious amps which I agree I don't think it does. It'll only be for a few seconds anyway. Thank you for the reply and take care.
Getting one , thank you for the video
Glad to help!
great walkthrough
Thanks Taylor!
Thank you
Is it ok for these hot posts be submerged in mud/water??
It's basically battery posts so the same rule would apply.
Do you have to connect the negative terminal. Surely just going to body is enough?
As long as it's a solid ground, I found it easy enough if your running one wire might as well run 2
The cost of these kits are ridiculous. You can make this set up with a few bolts and nuts and o-rings lol
Yep you can totally do that.
Do these fit the Can am xd10 Defenders too?
Rock, I'm not sure but it should. It's only a matter of the wire being lining enough... If you can figure out how long the wire needs to be that will determine it.
@@wernergarage7078 I will take a chance on it. Thanks...
