people asking about the covers, there is no cover there and there never has been(oem there are aftermarket ), even though it looks like something should be there
So per your details on your website "This system is quite simple: Key ON - both batteries are connected to X3, Key OFF- 2nd battery is isolated from X3" It sounds like the second battery still has power even with the car shut off/key out. SO my question is Just to make sure when I have the key out the acc port is off too? I do not want it powered and able to turn anything on with the key off. I want 0 power to my accessories when the x3 if off. second question. Does this charge the second battery too and does it shut off at a certain voltage to make sure the second battery isn't constantly charging and only charges when the second battery reaches x amount of voltage?
Just bought your second battery kit at the Sandsports show in Costa Mesa. I have a Kemimoto heavy duty battery terminal relocation kit (SKU B0401-00701BK) to jumpstart dead batteries. Can you advise if I should hook this up directly to the starting battery terminals, versus some other way. I also use this with a solar trickle charger. Please advise. Thanks.
I installed everything the same as the video explains and I end up with power always at my switches? Where did I go wrong? I do not want the switch lights always on.
I must be missing something. Looks to me the wiring is too small, once the “isolator” is engaged, connecting worst possible scenario of one of the batteries being completely dead, the other fully charged battery capable of supplying its full current. Perhaps?
Two questions. When running things like stereo that you want to have constant power, where do you connect those? ( vs things you only want on when ignition is on ) And also, when leaving stored car on a battery tender, how. do you hook that up to charge both?
1st Answer: You'll want to connect stereo to the red distribution block that comes with the 2nd battery kit. The stereo will run off of accessory power. 2nd Answer: You'll need two battery tenders to charge each battery.
Right now i have an aftermarket battery post installed on back fire wall for my battery tender to charge the battery. I an to add this kit. Will i need to add another set of battery post in the back fire wall to charge the second battery or with that same one will it charge both ??
I have the can am audio roof and it connects straight to the stock battery, but now that I have the 2nd battery installed, where do I connect the positive wire and the negative wire from the audio roof? To the 2nd battery? Or where please let me know 🙏🏻
So nothing should be connected to the stock battery? I have a stereo system, power flip windshield, winch and rock lights all hooked up to the stock bus bar.. I just bought your kit main reason my stock battery just ain't enough I was stuck high centered and used my winch and load was to much and turned off I had to wait a few mins to try again. I'm kinda confused if I should just run dual batteries (12v double amps) or use this kit.. I'm stuck..
Correct me if Im wrong, just installed the kit. Stereo system power is running to the new red block, with key off the machine, without hitting Acc on, I should be able to power my radio on/off from the unit? Does that make sense?
@@UTVStereo Thanks for the reply and video. I havent tested it yet, will tomorrow. I just saw the 3 wire from stereo unit and got confused, I hooked 12v+ Constant (I hooked up to red block), Ground to bus bar ground, and 12v+ Acc wire goes to Acc on bus bar. Should be good
@@UTVStereo if I have the positive and negative wires coming from the to the second battery, where does the power signal wire need to be hooked up now? It’s hooked up to the factory power signal under the dash which is accessory on powered. I want to run accessories including stereo from switch pros and second battery.
When hooking up all my positive wires for my accessories to distribution block, can I hook up all ground wires for all my accessories directly to secondary battery post?
Did everything you show and my radio doesn’t work unless I hit the ignition button , do you have to separate the starter wire and the bus wire and run those to each battery ?
@@manuelgunner100 I connected everything on battery to the battery. I left accessories for the switches and lights to accessories. Works fine like this.
The kit is descent but the batteries are TRASH. They don’t hold a charge properly and the company is no help. They kept telling me to keep charging it until it worked. That it was normal for it to not work properly when new, smh. Trash. I’m going back to my single big battery from Full River. Can am X3 owner.
Did you submit a warranty claim? We would've gladly checked it out for you to see if the battery had any issues. If it is less than a year old you can fill out the form here. www.utvstereo.com/pages/utv-stereo-warranty Also make sure that nothing else is draining the battery while its off and make sure the battery is being maintained while not in use
@ I’m sorry but, your team was giving me the round around with emails and procedures and unfortunately they did not work. Waaay to much hassle of going back and forth. Kind of like now, that you’re mentioning and questioning that it might be something else draining the battery. I went back to a single big battery from another manufacturer and problem solved. The only reason I tried your kit was because I wanted to try a dual battery set up but it did not work. Maybe with a different brand of batteries? For now I’ll just stick to what I know works. Thank you.
i don't blame you for skipping a few steps, but installing this kit inebriated isn't as easy as you make it appear in the video.

@utvstereo
Have you tried TrueAm Battery Isolator? It is waterproof, shockproof and has dual voltage monitor!

It will charge both batteries as long as there isn't an isolator involved.

@@roninmotors7466do you have a picture I’m trying to figure out how to run my system with the car off
hello! can 2 batteries be installed without this system? ..what is the role of the system? thanks!
It keeps you from using your main battery for accessories.
To make sure it is automaticall charging you need dual battery isolators kit from TrueAm see the variation at www.dfna.info

What is the guage and length of blue wires

So, for the accessory lead wires , do we still connect them to the accessory post? If not , the lights in the switches will just stay on.

you should only have it off accessories that goes to the isolator. They shouldn't be on all the time
