RZR 800 Rebuild Update (The motor is back!)
I have a 2024 D’s turbo max but the new inner housing cover don’t come with sensor connection can I just leave it off ?
@@jeffreyrico5719 which sensor are you referring to?
What series rubicon front springs did you use? Looks amazing 👍
It came off just a standard Rubicon Gladiator that a guy did a big lift on and didn't need the springs or shocks.
Did you have to use a track bar relocation bracket? I like this set up that’s why all the questions and I already have the springs
I used the parts that came with the leveling kit, I don't remember if it had a track bar relocation bracket but I showed everything I used in the video. If it's not in the video then I didn't need it.
Very nice setup and clean I like that, thanks so much for your time and info👍
Thanks been very happy with the setup!
Awesome video and thanks for making it. I do have a question about the full flow kit. Is there a plug inside the head that needs to be removed to be able to thread in the pipe that goes through the valve cover?
@@swdiosdiosdado yes, it uses an Allen socket and comes right out.
Nice Rv bro
What size socket did you use
So it will depend on the lug setup, on that car it was a splined lug set that used an adapter... so it will vary..
Nice work!
WHats the difference between belt temps with the fan and with out the fan?
Definitely lower but if the fan is not functioning (meaning off) they are bigger as it blocks are flow... so if it fails you could have an issue...
oh wow, nice job !!
Something else that nobody talks about with these all-in-one units, though they are weak and compact, and if you spend a fair amount of money, you can get a really good one. But if one component breaks in a multi component unit you end up having to replace the whole unit. Another words in a inverter transfer switch converter combo if one of those three shit the bed the other two maybe operating perfectly fine but you'll have to replace the whole unit which is why I also went separate regardless of the cost.
That's a great point. With just one item failing, you only have to replace the one item.
@@wernergarage7078 yeah it’s most certainly Catch-22. There’s definitely benefits and upsides, but that’s the downside.
You should make it so your Rzr will power your sailboat.
No the goal is to use the RZR to tow the sailboat to the ocean 😜
Do your battery boxes have any sort of cushion to help prevent vibration damage to the batteries?
Hi Rob, I did not but after a lot of use there was zero wear but it would definitely not hurt to do that.
Great video man, it was all a puzzle and now its a map to me thanks to this video thanks man
So glad it helped. Full video with all the TPR goodies coming soon!
How long did u have the roof on your can am ? How did it hold up ? I just ordered a dunner in white
It is still on the car. It is held up perfectly. It's a great roof for the money for sure!
Thank you for the video brother.. this helped me so much thank you again
Could you fit this in the bed of a truck? Don't have room on the trailer with a 4 seater
So I looked into it awhile back and I don't think it would have fit in my F-150. Sounds like it's time for a bigger trailer, I upgraded from a 20' to a 23' for a couple hundred bucks and was able to fit my 4 seater X3 and the Joyner easily
Where can I find those stocks pins mine snap ?
So I can’t even put on my doors till I find those pins
Might need to order from a dealer or parts store... probably some used ones floating around online as well.
@@wernergarage7078 do u know any websites I been looking can’t find them or do u know wat there called by any chance
A boat's trailer hubs should be replaced every 7000 to 10000 miles. If well cared for, with fresh geese every trip hubs may last up to 27 thousand miles before failure, a novias boater experience.
I agree! These were so rusted out and neglected they had to be replaced...
Looks easy I could have done this repair in my sleep
looks great. I got a willys and want to do the same stuff. Saving! lol
So satisfying watching the sanding and removal of paint!

Pop Top boats are problematic with leaks
Thanks for the feedback I'm going to see what I can do to seal it up tight. Would have like to have had a non pop top but definitely want to trailer it and the price was right 😎
Must be nice. You are very fortunate to have connections.
No connections just spending to much time on the classifieds!! If you're referring to the Superclean then yes that was very generous of them!
Nice!!!, you can't go wrong with free,, haha
How is the machine holding up after the rebuild, just wondering because of the pricebefore I buy it.
Good! He has only had a few trips on it though but runs strong and no issues!!
*Wheel swap*
Friend, do you have more photos of the installation, you used the hole that the chacis already had, thank you
I will see about taking some pictures but it is a bolt on installation.
I have the same light bar but I do not have the key on an off wire that plugs to the wiring harness which will cause the lights on the switch to stay on leading to a dead battery. I have tried to find that wire that you add on to the bottom of the bus bar but can’t find it. Please help? Thanks for the great video.
So you upgraded tires but bought used wore out ones?? Center treads look so wore i sure hope you dont get icy or snow where you live
So good catch on the tires. At the time I did this, tires were in high demand and extremely overpriced. I picked up some takeoffs. They had quite a bit more tread than you could notice in the video. I'm actually in the process of replacing them. No snow or ice and I took these out to the desert where we Off-road and they actually worked great at a low psi, they were just a cheap temporary fix.
@wernergarage7078 ya I didn't look where you were from and my first thought since I'm from Canada was those will be fun in the winter...lol. Looks nice though ✌️
@@Lefishn haha yeah for sure, they actually had more tread than you could see on video... they are done know and debating between BFG's or Toyos
Not a big deal at all. Like with any rear wheel drive vehicle, you'd only have to be concerned with ramp conditions especially using bunk-style trailers in a tidal area with slick ramps.
Launched our boat with our motorhome all the time. No big deal if you take your time..
Exactly!!! When I posted a pic of me not launching but just towing our boat on an RV forum people lost their minds 🤣🤣
@@wernergarage7078 You can tell you know what you are doing and do a great job. Some people just don't know how to back with their mirrors. Good job..
@jimg2885 thanks man! In full disclosure, my dad had me driving a 34' rv towing a 20' boat on private roads at 14 😎! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I believe the tow length is from the front of the tow vehicle to the rear of the trailer NOT the rear of the boat or drives so basically the taillights at about 5:18 of your video
Thanks Mike! I was curious about the measurement, so that definitely gives me some extra room to be under the limit! 👍
@@wernergarage7078 btw is that an Allante or a Precept?
@@espritmike 2016 precept 29UR (bunkhouse)
Great job. You see motorhomes towing big boats and large race or toy hauler trailers in California all the time. I have been doing it for over 30 years and actually have been over legal length many times. To the river with a boat and PWCs in the summer and to Glamis with a sandrail and quads in the winter. No issues at all except for a blown trailer tire every so often. Have fun and be safe!
Thanks, I agree no big deal! So many people had commented they couldn't believe I was pulling the boat with the RV so figured would show how easy it is... have fun stay safe out there!
Take the 3 feet of extensions off the impact lol
That's what we had sitting around and wanted to clear the coil over...😎
You highly recommend?
So far so good! It has been solid with no issues. Can't beat it for the price.
Can i ask approx how much this mod cost? Looks great and id love to do the same.
So I picked up the Rubican shocks and springs used for just a few hundred dollars. The front leveling kit is from Rough country and was about $100 and the rear spacers were about $150 so you could put everything together for less than $500 if you do the install yourself.
Who made swim platform?
So it was a company called Alumifab Marine, I have more details about it in the video below: ua-cam.com/video/z8SwJD56duk/v-deo.htmlsi=FHXmkh8M2lMBO3wF
I wanted to hear about your belt temps and how you like the Razerback unit. Please share or do another video.
The blower system works well but it does draw some power and if the power goes down it does block airflow so you need to make sure your power system is up to the task when your running all your accessories! When running all my lights it can draw to much power. I have had to manage the power usage but it works well when I don't run everything all at once.
Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for watching! Hope it was helpful!
Did that tpr valve cover install ever come out ?
Soon, it has a bunch of other parts at the same time, finishing up some summer projects but will post that video soon!
I’m installing mine just need help on where to cut and add the coolant return on the hose
@@dodgerchvy6 if you give Greg at TPR a call he can help clarify where you cut. Unfortunately I will not have the video up for a few weeks.
did you add a new adjustable track bar or new control arms with this lift or did it run fine with stock components ?
Totally fine with stock components, rides great and has no issues!
@@wernergarage7078did it also sit level front and back with the icon rear spacer or would you recommend doing the daystar 3/4 rear spacer instead to level it out ?
It's sits fairly level for me, keep in mind the rear springs are for the max tow, front springs are rubicon (which raises the front up a bit over the S)
would have to mount it higher down here in the south because all the water we drive through
Thanks for posting the review,I'm going to be ordering one for my sportsman xp1000 very soon,I've seen a bunch of RZR guys posting positive feedback so I feel pretty confident taking the plunge.
How good does it work in your sportsman ive been thinking about saving up and buying one
The video helped me out a lot. Did the wood with the cut out as well! Can am sitting on all new 30 inch tires now, thanks for the post!!
Great video! So me tapping into the buss bar just for whips will be fine? Do I need a fuse somewhere in between? TIA
Yep, you should be good! I would still fuse the whips just to be safe. Thanks for watching.
@@wernergarage7078 thanks for the quick response! What size of fuse do you recommend and where should I put it ? TIA
