The fact that The Freezer is not an "another wack videogame creepypasta character" and real existing game corrupting glitch is really fascinating. Still i do not understand why devs doesn't fix that though
I can only assume that it might be an early release of Saints Row 2 that was released to disc for the 360 version. The PS3, PC/Steam/GOG, and digital copies of the game on PSN and XBM don't have this issue, only the physical 360 release has it. I'm not an expert on this phenomenon, but mrsaintsgodzilla21 has made a video years ago about the Freezer, which I highly recommend.
The Tiny Pistol was essentially an easter egg referencing the Noisy Cricket pistol from 1997's Men in Black in both the gameplay effects on the player and 'Loud Locust' being a rip on it's name
"I feel like I'm gonna break this damn thing!"
It was also in the third game, you break a door down in lets pretend and find it down stairs
If people didn't notice that they didn't watch MIB

@@MidnightClubStillCancelledSozI haven’t seen you in years
Saints row 2 was my favorite. So many things to do, explore and I appreciated how it was the perfect balance of seriousness and goofiness.
Saints Row 2 was my first and most favorite but for what it was Saints Row 1 was pretty good
i beat saints row 2 i think about 10 times? it’s just so fun. way too fun.
Grinding respect just so that you can play the storyline missions was annoying though.
I never had that problem since I love doing the activities first
@@sizzurpmp3 I don't mind the grind if it's not *forced* upon you.
7:00 Fun fact, there's actually a huge reference to this in, of all places, Assassins Creed Syndicate. The protagonists start a gang in 1860s London to take down the other gangs. Said gang is green. 20 years later, they've been taken over by the protege of one of the main protagonists, Jack the Ripper. Now they're purple.
Dude. The count of Monte Cristo was awesome. My uncle gave me a copy when I was young and I couldn't get past the cover. Years later I read it and it blew my mind. It's not only a tale of revenge but ULTIMATE revenge. COMPLETE victory. The main character doesn't just learn how to fight. He learns how to think. He learns patience. He learns math. He learns science, language and finance. When he makes his play all the cards are his and he is ruthless.
Reading your comment alone makes me want to give it a watch, in fact, I might just do that right now tbh lol
@@sizzurpmp3 the book is much better. It's a long read though. If you do watch the movie there are two ones. The original and the remake which is okay but I have to stress the book was the best story. You really can't fit everything into a movie.
Great video, but these icebergs are missing quite a bit.
1: First of all there is no mention of the pyramid which makes me believe you were paid off by ultor (i know everyone knows about it but since the underground mall was mentioned might as well)
2: On the mountain above the pyramid there is a pond in the woods. If you search around enough you'll see a hocky mask lying on the ground with the notification "pick up bones". If you carried the hocky mask around long enough (or threw it) it would instantly turn into a human skull. It was a really creepy item that led some fans into theorizing that you could bring Jason Voorhees into the game but it was most likely just a reference that the developers threw in for fun.
3: if you wait in a boat or swim in a certain spot right by the coast of volition oasis there is a sea monster that swims through the seaweed. Its really creepy if you're not looking for it and you just happen to notice it. It spawns in the same spot every few minutes or so and swims in a straight line to dissappear back into the dark. Definitely the creepiest easter egg ive seen in saints row.
4: This ones not a big deal but in saints row 2 if you go to the saints church hideout and go to the area with all the homeless people close to the area where the zombie minigame takes place you can find half of a corpse barried in the rubble.
5: Saints row the third aslso has a secret sex dungeon. Its much smaller but you can find the dildo bat there along with a cabbit (i believe). Also in saints row 3 there are small cabbits that appear in a few other locations like image as designed.
6: In saints row 4 if you go to the bottom of one of the giant alien towers and call in the alien hovercraft you can glitch under the entire world. From there you fly to another specific point of the map (sorry im going off of my memory) and you start descending straight down into the blue abyss until every turns black, then you keep descending until you start to see your homies appear on the map. If you go down far enough you can find the ship that all the main characters use to escape near the beginning. If you go under the ship with you aircraft you can actually glitch your way on board and can even recruit the homies on board and ineract with them in ways you couldn't if you teleported to the ship (exited the simulation) like the game intended. Not sure how many people know about this one since its probably been patched by now but i always thought it was the coolest glitch in gaming.
Thanks for the heads up yo! If I ever get around to doing a part 2, I will definitely give you a should out for this info drop!
I believe in Saints Row 3 or 4 there’s also another set of doors with creepy laughing and screaming and chainsaw noises behind it.
I believe the ending that you choose to kill killbane it could be the starting of the Red faction’s universe.
Interesting theory. I could see that working
Do you think STAG wasn’t completely destroyed but they end up becoming to known as EDF (Earth Defence Force) from Red faction?
@@uncleblaine1433 I need to brush up on my Red Faction lore a bit more, but It’s possible that since STAG succeeded in the Kill Killbane universe, they could’ve spun off as another entity in Red Faction, so it’s definitely a possibility.
I’d consider any ending prior to Red Faction because of Ultor being plastered everywhere
This video already a Saints Row classic i can feel it.
Bruh no cap the saints Row community is one of the best in gaming the reboot made us come together and appreciate what we had in the old ones like I’ve been replaying sr3 and 4 and their way better than I remember
24:31 I think the Cyrus Temple is Kenzie's father entry is a typo. Cyrus is actually implied to be Jessica's father (Maero's girlfriend from SR2) and her death is part of his motivation for hating gangs.
I still personally see this as a stretch since Cyrus was a military officer and Jessica seemed like a stuck up rich girl.
@@mrduck5182 I don't see how that would make it a stretch. I know irl military kids who act like her.
@@AsymmetricalCrimes it wasn't just her actions, she owns a fairly expensive car.
Also Jessica was around 20 and Cyrus was about 65 or something.
Cyrus does specifically reference to Jessica during his speech, fyi. The theory is simply based off on the assumption that his specific mention of her isn't casual, nor a simple reference.
After all, it's not exactly known how much media coverage and attention her death got, hence it's unclear whether he's simply just referencing to it because what happened to her is very well known in-universe (a bit like Hughes' death, which is made abundantly clear is considered a big deal and widely known), or for more personal reasons.
As someone who has played the series ever since the first came out, the "Ben King Planted the Bomb" and the "Eric Gryphon" theory make lot of sense and could've gave us a truly epic storyline for Saints Row 3 with great plot twists while tying up loose ends for characters.
Note on the Playa's real name: Volition once mentioned on a stream that in early SR1 development, the Playa was called Mikey. Although they said they pronounced it Mickey, for some reason.
Mikey honestly sounds fitting for the default SR1 Playa
@@sizzurpmp3Btw you ever thought about the undercover cop in SR1 being named Troy as in the city that got hit by the OG trojan horse? That shit blew my mind today when I realized it😂
@@mtndew4746 that’s actually a pretty neat fact. Crazy how the OG Saints Row writers were so clever lol
9:00 I have a theory about Carlos’s brother, I believe in the first church scene of the sr1 game when Lin comes out a saints member says “I didn’t know the rollerz pimped hos” and later sucker punched by Lin is him.
Interesting to theory, I buy it. Carlos has cut dialogue that said his brother died while defending the church, so it’s not out of the question
That’s funny me and my brother had the same theory growing up, we called that guy Carlito and head cannon that he dyed his hair red (cause in our game the guy always had a red buzz cut and dark brown sideburns) we’d usually recruit him if he ever showed up in free roam
33:02 I have seen something in underground stilwater. I wasn't recording because I was on xbox 360 (which to my knowledge has no way to save clips without software) and i was only like 11 years old but I remember a distant ped spawning right next to me walking which scared the shit out of me then it turned towards me started the number 1 emote but despawned like half way through the emote and it absolutely scared me
I had a similar experience with it ages ago and even caught footage of it occurring in the SRTT Remaster. It's on my channel to boot.
I remember flying over the ultor building and seeing a random npc say watch them laugh now and jump and never saw it again
rip to my man lmao
Jacques Hennequet (Dev at Volition) has his name in SR1. I think it's near Ben King's Penthouse. It's on a plaque that says he's the founder of Stilwater.
I think it would be a cool inclusion in a part 2 video.
Personally what ruins and makes an "iceberg" lose it’s touch and meaning is adding a bunch of easter eggs making it a easter egg video instead of what’s supposed to be an iceberg
@@TotallyNotKanye Eh. It's not a big lore addition or mystery, but I wouldn't exactly call it an Easter Egg either. It's somewhere in the middle.
@@R3fug333 whatever that makes you feel better
The only reason why the freezer appears on the Xbox 360 physical copy of the game that I can think of is that the physical release was an earlier build.
It's simular to what happenee to the OG Xbox version of True Crime: New York City, the version of the port was shipped with the wrong build of the game, making it glitchy as all hell and pratically impossible to finish, as the mission Human Cargo is unbeatable due to this factor.
do you thibk i can find the freezer on ps 3
@@saints_row_cat
I have watched saintsgodzilla's video on The Freezer (which, ironically is how I was introduced to it, shoutout to him), and he said that he hasn't had the issue happen on the PS3, PC, and the Xbox 360 Marketplace versions of SR2, it seems to be the physical Xbox 360 copies of Saints Row 2 that are prone to the Freezer.
Honestly the final iceberg point being where Zombie Lin and Carlos come from might make a little sense to a degree. Lin would’ve had to been fished out the river, and the blood on the dirt road, Carlos was still stuck to the truck. Absolutely no evidence for this but decent speculation
I’m glad you see it that way too! Even if that isn’t the case, it’s still fun to theorize about it
For the Gryphon is Alderman Hughes theory theres even more evidence. During that DLC on one of the missions dex will call you and say "Gryphon isnt who you think he is"
You're right! wish we've gotten a definitive answer to that question.
Awesome to see more Saints Row content, especially when it's getting into the more unknown and crazy things in the series. Keep up the great work man!!
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
In saints row 2 there's also a pirate skeleton behind the mega condo apartment beach which can be related to the pirate ship on the unmarked island
Another easter egg is the Jason hockey mask that turns into a skull after you grab it for a while, this is near the toxic lake of mount claflin, in sr2 obv
My theory on the house is that the Ronin may be torturing someone who owes them money or a rival gang member. Speaking of that, one interesting thing I noticed playing FUZZ missions is that whenever there's a gang fight it's always Ronin vs Samedi, or at least I have never seen Brotherhood being involved. If that's not just my luck, makes me wonder if Brotherhood has some sort of truce or agreement of some kind with either Ronin or Samedi.
Considering that the Ronin and the Brotherhood are the most organized gangs in the game, it makes sense that they have some sort of truce going on. The Brotherhood and the Samedi are also neighboring gangs, so that might be why they're cool with each other too, which explains why the Ronin and Samedi are exclusively always at it. Nice catch on the smaller details!
One possible entry could've been the idea that Osama Bin Laden was meant to be in place of Cyrus in SR4's prologue. mrsaintsgodzilla21 did a video on it.
That would make a great topic for a part 2
9:48 when I was a kid I was convinced that there was some conspiracy about if johnny didn’t die in saints row 3 that zombie johnny gat must be an imposter and I was convinced that he was for a long time
Your theory ended up coming true in the long run lol
There’s a line that Carlos says in the files where he mentions his brother was on the first Saints and died shortly after joining
I wasn’t sure whether or not to add it in considering it’s a cut piece of dialogue and it’s arguably non-canonical now
this is one of the best saints row videos i’ve ever seen. great job dude
Ayyy thanks homie! glad you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed making it
to my knowledge the one guy who was working on fixing SR2 and making the patch has died, unsure if he passed on the torch to others
Yeah I’m fully aware. He left the project in the hands of another colleague of his who was helping him make the patch. The status of the entire fix is still unknown and volition refuses to give any updates.
"I didn't even know Poland had a rap scene, i thought their musical taste consisted of old folk songs and yodels or some shit" - that's the most american sentence I heard lately.
Btw I have this collector's edition.
Stilwater uses a mix of a few other Midwest states Michigan and Minnesota seems to be the biggest of the bunch the best Saint's Row games are in Stilwater
This was a really good watch, great video my man!
l'm gonna start bing watching it for months on end lol
I’m very glad you liked it that much bro! It’s awesome to hear this from people. Means a lot fr
absolutely fantastic video bro also, there was cut dialogue from carlos, revealing his brother died defending the church
Wow really? Why would they cut that and would it be considered canon to begin with? I'm happy you liked the video bro!
I am glad someone made a saints row iceberg
It one of my favorite series ty 💜💜
Awwww shit, Sizzurp uploaded!
Thanks for this carnal 🤙🏽
The idea of Saints Row 2 set in the 70s could have some leftovers in the final game as the gangsters outfits are not exactly modern for the 2000s in addition to the funk station and many of the Saints Row 2 cars are classic cars also the Stilwater Police SWAT and FBI are wearing dated outfits and are very similar to the Destroy all Humans 2 Police and Military which are from 1969 the SWAT van in Saints Row 2 is a 70s era van and the blue SWAT APC is actually a very old 1960s Cadillac Gage Commando finally a lot of the store music and even radio commercial themes are easy listening songs from the 60s and 70s most by Gehard Nartholtz and a lot of the pedestrian gang and police dialogue sounds like dialogue from the late 70s and early 80s because the swearing and sex was toned down from SR1 it's really interesting how the leftovers made it into the final game especially the police bike and police boat being from the 60s and 70s despite being set in modern times its really weird
wtf, saints row got more cancelled projects than actual entries in the franchise😂
Its sad when you realize how big the series could've been if some of these games would've come out
Starting with WWE2K17, you’re able to set Stilwater as a hometown for your custom wrestler.
The funny thing is, the column with the bloody doors is right about where the original safehouse in the first game was located. Always thought that was rather odd...
Killing Dex in Gat out of Hell got real boring real quick. So much so that as soon as I heard him I ran the other direction so he'd despawn.
There was nothing special to it, plus he's in hell meaning he's already dead so where's the satisfaction in that? Then they go about it in the laziest way. I never thought that the SR games were a grind until I played that.
Best iceberg I've seen yet very well made hope so see more stuff like this ❤
Appreciate the good feedback homie! Glad you enjoyed it
Really enjoyed this. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks homie, I’m really glad you enjoyed it!
I was waiting for a saints row iceberg years and years but now its finally here.

Saints row is my childhood! Thank you for the great video about this game. And I know one fact about Tiny Pistol, that this pistol from the movie Man in black
Glad you liked it man! And thanks for the clarification, I honestly had no idea. You learn something new everyday lol
On saints row 2 you could get the dual katanas in free roam without the uses of mods but they turn your player into an a-pose instead of using proper animations because they were programmed for junichi
What I meant to say was “it isn’t fully functional without the use of mods”. You can obtain them sure, but they weren’t usable, not unless you were on a bike.
The music choices in this video are top notch, bud. Especially trance 009 sound system dreamscape Very nice!
Thank homie, a lot of though did went into the music in this video
Wakeup sizz just made new video!
hate that i’m so late seeing this. i already know this is gonna be a banger.
started playing sr2 again recently and someone fell on the Heron statue at Heron Hotel and it scared me, I was so confused. This video cleared that up so thank you. Kinda eerie there’s multiple suicides in the game
Fun fact Grant Albrect who voiced Crypto in Destroy all Humans voices one of the Caucasian Vice Kings members and the Caucasian Stilwater police officer in Saints Row 1 as his groans and screams were reused from Volitions Punisher game as Grant Albrect voiced the Fisk industry guards and the Fisk industry guards appear to modelled after Crypto as they are bald with shaved heads he also does his Jack Nicholson voice for his Fisk guard but he puts on this really convincing gangster voice for his Vice King character and he puts on a much higher voice for his Caucasian police officer in Saints Row 1 hes really good

Awesome video man thanks

I want that Saints Row Prime game so bad, i just know it wouldve been better

Brand new map, new mechanics, and Johnny would've been back. Also, they wouldn't have written themselves into a corner by blowing up the Earth.
Good video man big ups
The king is back.
Good stuff man keep up the videos
Thanks dawg!
The pimp slap in SR1 is very possible to get if you use a save game editor or have modded the game to spawn it in the weapon stash or gun store but however you can't unequip it and if you save the game with the pimp slap then your game is forever stuck with that pimp slap as there's no way to remove it.
I made a video on my youtube channel using the pimp slap in SP but however Volition forgot to add the knockback and damage thus making it useless in SP but thankfully modders were able to fix this.
Also there's an unused vehicle in Saints Row 1 called the baddog which i also made a video of.
Also Saints Row 1 was suppose to have a feature to use left handed or right handed weapons but was scrapped as the game had to be rushed out the door quickly.
"That's like calling every first person shooter 'Doom clones'."
That's actually a thing as well though, right up until the mid-2000s a lot of FPSes were called Doom clones because a lot of them were still heavily inspired by their predecessors.
It wasn't till the Call of Duty and Battlefield franchises that the term became reserved for indie titles intentionally copying the style.
Similarly, Saints Row kinda was a GTA clone up until the 4th entry.
It had a similar UI, similar fonts, the games played and felt more similar than most modern open world games at the time.
21:50 Yeah, "Dragons" is a reference to the cut SR IV vehicle, which was a fully animated dragon
Its funny people called sr a gta clone when gta turned into an sr3 clone, years later.
They have side mission in V tow the truck lol while ŠR2 did it in 3 King first
I agree now they can't use call sr a "gta clone" anymore
Wow man there were a lot of things i didnt know even though i played sr 1 and 2 a month ago .its great to know that some people are still playing sr 1 and 2 which are the best among the whole franchise.i really would love to see part 2.and i can tell you guys that i played sr3 first then sr4 and gat out of hell but when i played sr1 and sr2 i told myself that now this is a gangsta game.i usually dont like playing really old games but i enjoyed sr1 with xenia and 2 with pc port and when i found out that dlcs didnt make it to the pc i was sad actually.anyways keep up the good work man
Glad you enjoyed the video and the series dawg! Welcome to the Row
Man he spittin the faxx
FINALLY A SR ICEBERG
I thought it was about time someone filled that void lol
The most obscure and disturbing part of the saints row iceberg, is the part, that references the reboot.
21:45 love the South Park music here, altough I'm sure whats being referenced is Puff the rideable Dragon that was cut from Saints Row 3/4.
Yeah I thought so. There’s a ton of dragon iconography’s throughout the series so it was kinda hard to include a single thing to that entry
This was really cool i someone could make up a concept for the ben king and julius game or even for what was going on between the time of the explosion and the player’s recovery

Amazing Iceberg sizzrup I love saints row to the bottom of my heart
Awesome, me too! Glad you liked my take on an iceberg video
Great video.
One topic I would add is the games timeline. I can't remember every detail, but user jeanpoliko made a video about the story of the series. Basically the only game that helps us track down every game and the year it takes place is SR3, but in the same video it's said how the game has a bunch of just absurd facts like deaths from the same game occurring years apart from each other according to in-game newspapers and files. I recommend that part of the video if you want to make your own take on it
I actually already made a similar sounding video on the SR timeline a few years back.
@@sizzurpmp3 cool, i'll go check out

SR4 would’ve been the perfect game to re-introduce it. Missed opportunity there smh
@@sizzurpmp3 That game had so many UFO references in it I was sure we would get it. They have a car that looks like a UFO, but it does not fly. Such a shame. Thanks for the reply and heart!
Needed this video
The Dual Katana's ARE obtainable without mods in SR2, I used to do it on my PS3 - they just don't work outside the mission and cause the Playa to T-Pose when you attempt to attack with them.
About the "gta clone" take, I see more as a quick way to explain to someone unfamiliar what a game is all about, like your uncle or cousin that don't really play videogames, and then they watch you play and you say "it's like GTA" and they understand what you meant instantly
There's a difference between saying "this is like GTA" and "this is a clone of GTA". A clone is just straight up ripping off GTA without creating its own identity, meanwhile saying it's like GTA means it just shares gameplay elements, which applies to saints row, each game has some of the gameplay elements but they tend to have their own identity away from the GTA games.
Bro got 009 Sound System playing 😂
If more ads were like "Ship it", I would actually pay attention.
the music at 23:00 fuckin killed me man, thank you
The term "GTA Clone" is also used because no other open-world crime game has been able to top or overtake GTA's success. GTA V still holds the record for sales, and has yet to be beaten.
18:58 sounds like a awesome idea real talk
Would be a good plot for a Soft-rebooted SR game
@@sizzurpmp3I agree with you
@@og_3rd_st_saint_gatjust play Yakuza, 10x better than anything Volition could do, especially nowadays.
What music did you use for the "why does the freezer exist" section? I remember hearing it during late night health care ads, and it always creeped me out as a kid lol.
It’s a restored version of the song “Ominous” by Whitehardt. It’s most commonly associated with the Bob Goldwater law firm and indeed pretty creepy lmao
Correction: the Freezer has been confirmed to only ever appear in the original XBOX 360 disk versions of the game. Hence, no digital hunting of it is really possible. Which is why details of it are still largely unknown, as this glitch appears to be limited to the first XBOX version, and investigating it means to go through god knows how many disks.
Little correction to my own comment for further clarifications: in theory, it might not be completely exclusive to the original XBOX disc version. But if so, it appears to be exceedingly, ridiculously rare, on other platforms. There's very few evidence of it happening outside of the 360, and some of it looks somewhat questionable, so, make of it what you will. And, if true, the very few who claim to have managed to trigger the bug on other platforms, say that the game doesn't get bricked there, only crashes.
The main theory of why it appears to be either exclusively or mostly confined to the 360, being because of the 360 hardware (since the glitch appears to be either ultra rare or non existent also on digital 360 versions). So while in theory investigating it digitally might be a possibility, assuming the evidence is true, the rarity and lessened severity of it do make it much less practical and possibly not as complete.
Thanks for the clarification dawg! I’ll be sure to shout you in the updated video.
@@sizzurpmp3 No probs! If it helps, I made a quick edit for further clarification.
TL;DR being: in theory, it might not be completely exclusive to the 360, but there isn't a lot of evidence outside about it; and if true, it appears to be exceedingly rare and not as catastrophic.
NARC 2005 video please.
Im definitely checking it out soon, it looks really good
Is there going to be a 2nd part to this iceberg i feel like theres still more to cover?
I’ve been getting requests to do a part 2, so there very well might be. If not, I’ll probably remake this video later Down the line as I’m not satisfied with a lot of the voice overs and missing facts.

We gotta help each other out here in the community. Glad you’re trying to create content! Assuming you're playing on PC, how'd you get SR2 to look so clean? Do you use any mods?
I do! I used the SR1 texture pack and Nova SPE. It makes the colors pop up a little more, especially that skybox
SR1 and SR2 leaderboards are back up my friend. been up since dec 2022. the gang leaderboards were shut down oct 2009 tho and will never return. 360 servers have a issue sometimes were leaderboards go away for multiple 360 games for a certain period of time, but always come back.
Great video, it was interesting getting to see a look at the iceberg. I have a question though: what is that song playing during the ‘zombies’ section at around 7 minutes? It sounds like What Is Love by Haddaway, but like a cover of it. Can you please tell me so I may find it? Anyway, thank you and have a nice day.
It's a YTMND song called "What is Hip-Hop"

This isn't much of a creepy easter of so but in SR1 there are some buildings that you can hear noises coming from them, in the suburbs district in one of the house across the apartment stronghold you can hear someone watching porn as you can hear moaning in there, and in the Cecil Park section of the barrio district on the hair salon across the street of the one you can actually enter you can hear music playing inside of it. Haven't explored the other districts yet to see if there are more buildings that have this happen but might try to see if I can find more.
oh yeah the music in the hair salon only plays during the day and goes silent at night, you have to be right next to the building to hear but you can hear faint Spanish folk music playing inside.
The freezer cracked my original saints row 2 copy
It took my second viewing of this video to realize the background music was that one royalty free music that everyone used in those notepad videos from the 2000s.
It actually isn't royalty free unfortunately. You can get copyright struck if you play the unaltered song in a video.
Protect the Pimp! leader boards were crazy
