For that price you might as well get a meta quest

Well the PS VR2 is vastly more powerful in every way vs the Meta Quest 2 which is over 2 years old now - but they are both targeting different market segments so in reality they aren't really in competition with each other. PS VR2 requires a PS5 so that's the pre-requisite there while Quest 2 is a standalone device which anyone can just buy and get going with.
