Man, hopefully one day we can turn the Switch into a portable system just like this
Yeah man it’d be so fucking cool if it was
A portable Switch? My uncle made one last week.
Easy the board is realy tiny
Man, what about mobile PS TV, I mean interface already looks live vita, just make it portable
I hope we can make the 3ds into a handheld system
4:00 im gonna open the DS of my brother looking for answers
*Smash DS with a Hammer*
Hey look, answers! :D
**oh look, answers
PUT THIS ON YOUR EBAY AND LET ME BUY IT NOW
With this, we're one step closer, my brothers and sisters. The day of the Xbox 720 will soon arise!
Great video by the way, you always knock it out of the baby park.

Xbox 720 but using an Xbox One.
Love your humor on this video along with the insane effort put in. Glad YT recommended it to me
3:23 was really hoping this would tie into the bread joke as it looks like a slice lol _("ah dangit i made bread again")_
Was also really hoping that the disk drive worked, but hey, at least there's a place we can put the discs in. Incredible video, and absolutely amazing build!
That's what I thought too lol
That sounds like a Scott the Woz joke.
No
yo pixel
haha tie
I'm glad to see this masterpice of youtube, pure magic, thanks mate
I always liked the idea of making portable cd hardware more portable by using those small gamecube CDs. It's a shame the actual gamecube CD readers were too big. I get it though and this is still so neat.
Yeah that was the biggest drawback to the GameCube being "portable". It was definitely more compact than it's competition, but a lot of the hardware could only be so small. I do like the concept of this though.
@@mysticmind4563 any disk based haldheld in general, not only they are huge but also suck a lot of power, which means either you have to get a huge battery setup or have low battery life

im glad demond’s life turned out well :) thats always something i wonder about when seeing cool stuff like this from years ago
You never wondered any of that lmao people just say anything 😂 clownboy
Absolute Goat, awesome job on this build!
2 years later and just realized, he didn’t lie.
He said he’d make the fake portable GameCube real, and TECHNICALLY this is a “fake” portable GameCube.
You're genuinely hysterical and a brilliant person! I always wanted to make portable consoles to play games in the woods but I never had the technical skills for this kind of stuff.
I started dying when he “destroyed” his brother’s DS 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, look, answers.~
haha i freakin loved that too!
Your little brother is coming to your house
I was about to have a mental breakdown
When did you finish though?
You, sir, have earned yourself a sub. I enjoyed how thorough you were, the jokes, and the amount of effort that went into the project and video!
i'm constantly amazed by the quality and creativity of your work!
So many content creators in so many genres, and so rare to find one who can make you laugh so effortlessly. Genuinely good comedy
Let's goooo, I was a little skeptical when you first started asking around about that image but here you are with a perfect replica, I'm beyond impressed, good job ginger
Man this thing looks soo good, the kind of effort and time that went into it and the project looks soo unbelievable. More power to you buddy.
The story telling and comedy and the creativeness just a great story all together!!! Good stuff bro!!
3:18 I have done nothing except 3D print bread for the last 3 days.
I usually skip over these kinds of Videos, but this came up on my recommended and I'm glad I stuck around. Very likable guy, incredibly smart !!

I fell asleep while watching something and it auto played to this video, then I woke up to 1:04
Gingerofoz : IT WAS DONE THIS IS IT THE PORTABLE GAMECUBE
Nintendo : looking good but I wonder what it look like after I sue you
I remember when I saw this fake image of a future GameCube console like you did. Superb video, great project. You rock! 💥
This is amazing. My suggestion: make it 50~100% bigger so bigger battery better view + OLED screen. And it will still be very portable.
Trying to find a 4:3 OLED panel is hard still. The closest thing is the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, or a foldable, and at that point you might as well emulate GameCube, because those devices can handle it.
@@Shoeboxcat7 yeah also Galaxy fold 3.
@@Shoeboxcat7 yeah I currently have 9 gamecube games emulated on my aya neo handheld pc: Simpsons hit and run, Simpsons road rage, Prince of persia sands of time, crash bandicoot wrath of cortex, wave race blue storm, vexx, tak, ty the tasmanian tiger, Donald duck going quackers
Honestly just making it wider for those with bigger hands (and installing the disk drive) and extend the battery life. Then again this was a mock-up of an artist rendition. If one was to make something like, a lot of things would be different
I want you to know this is SO COOL, this render is literally in so many people’s subconscious that it is amazing to see it become actualized. Amazing job!
I want you to do a battle against shank mods to see who is better because both of you re so talented

Wow this was so cool! I remember seeing this image and I saved it on my pc for all these years just because I thought it looked so cool. I still have it saved in a folder :D

I always imagined it to be roughly a portable dvd player size, but this just makes sense and looks great! Well done
The fact this even got made and works is so impressive
Ok
Now you need to make the Xune 360 mockup (put an Xbox 360 on a portable shell and either keep the dashboard or put an alternative dashboard that looks like the mockup)

Reason for editing: I forgot the 360 in the Xune 360 name

This is so cool. I remember seeing that render of the camecube portable as a kid and I wanted it soooooo bad. So cool what one guy is capable of doing with some know how and the internet's help. Great, just great. 👍
This is actually groundbreaking! I really love it. You gained a new subscriber.
Props to this guy. This is the direction console technology should go in. Decrease in size and simultaneously making it very possible to make older ones portable. Well made vid
11:55 HOW DARE YOU, continue this wonderful project with a crack in the case? I had a heart attack watching
IT WAS AN ACCIDENT FOR HIM! HE DIDNT HAVE TIME TO GET AN ENTIRELY NEW CASE, OKAY?

I honestly love this channel! It's obviously about building handhelds and the like, but it isn't as boring as other channels, and even includes some humor here and there. You've earned yourself a subscriber!
This video has suprised me with the great hard work put into it. I'm suprised you were actually able to build a portable one. Great job!
I know I'm late to this but I think the mickey mouse ears on the corners design choice was an inspiration from the N64 which is pretty neat :3
I think the issue you ran into where closing the system made the screen bump into the controls at 6:50 is because your top half is flat, the bezles are flush with the screen. If you look on the render you can see the screen is actually recessed into the plastic leaving room for the controls, you can see this if you look a the edges.
You're incredibly skilled to be able to put all this together. Respect, keep up the good work!
Brilliant! Great work!
do you still have that broken ds? i need new button rubbers xD

Holy shit... you found the source of one of my biggest "OMFG I WANT THAT THING IN MY HANDS RIGHT NOW" moments I ever had. I remember when that render was going all over GameFAQs, and... oooh boy I got hopeful.
Hey, are the part files out there? I would love to build one of these for myself.
Build looks great btw, good job on it!
Man, ya lost me when you ditched the disc drive. Beyond that, still a fairly impressive build.
Keep doing what you do, and make every build better than your last.
If you can tell me how to fit it into that form factor, let me know how, it would be a miracle.
@@edgarwalk5637 That's part of what dragged me into the video to begin with...trying to figure out how he'd managed it. I'm not here to pretend I could do any better or waste anyone's time with some fanciful Momday morning quarterbacking "Well, the way *I* would have done it is..." garbage. I told the man it was a fairly impressive build, and I meant it. He's good at what he does, and I respect him and his project both, just in case that was not clear by my previous commentary.
Same.. Not sure if he made it a bit bigger, maybe it could have fit?
@@cen7ury Agreed, at that point he may as well have just made an emulated Raspberry Pi type build, it's still impressive what he's done but yeah, I think most of us were clicking on the vid questioning the viability of a disc drive in a small portable gamecube especially with the disc and fake disc tray being visible in the screenshot, briefly looking at his other videos though I probably could've guessed it wouldn't have a working disc drive, oh well, still enjoyed the vid
@@cen7ury nah man I'm right there with you. The caveats change the goal and execution. And they weren't clear before the start. Still great and impressive but different now.
Yo be honest the most impressing thing about this project is how that minuscule chunk of wii motherboard is able to fully function
Oh my goodness, I love the vibes this gives off. It has that good ol' home-crafted style and deadpan humor that almost makes me cringe just a bit, but laugh my ass off at the self awareness.
