@@dinnerforbreakfast123 In some games, taking a game (sm64 for example), and directly injecting inputs on each individual frame is a TAS. It's the fastest time any human can theoretically do it. Fun Fact: Even if you had the amount of ancient debris needed for a full beacon layed out in a row right in front of you, it would still take over 6 hours to mine all of it with a diamond pickaxe.
Before you shame this creator with your stupid comments, this is a tas speedrun. (tool assisted speedrun) It falls into its own category of speedrunning and the speedrunner is allowed to use macros, scrips etc to give themselves the upper hand in speedruns. Tas is a category of speedrunning made for these types of speedruns, and what the speedrunner did in this video is completely allowed.
wouldnt it have been faster to dupe the logs at the beginning once more to avoid mining the crafting table, and instead making one when you need to use it next time?
Bismuth did an excellent video breaking down a different Minecraft TAS so that's what I'll be referencing. ua-cam.com/video/DJpXnjCt0hw/v-deo.html The chest inventory and the player's inventory are saved separately which allows for a timely disconnect creating a desync and therefore dupes. But this video's description already alludes to that. The problem with this glitch is that these inventories will stay sync'd even if you Alt-F4. Minecraft has to be force closed from the task manager to interrupt the sync. You'd have to force close MC in a 1/20th of a second window under normal circumstances. The TAS of course is played at 40 to 80 times slowed speed so it has no issue doing it. I suppose it is possible to emulate that with a lag machine or anything to drive your TPS down to create a wide enough window.
@@bjaurus6375This is exactly how it works. I originally helped Dylan with that 20 second run, but there are tools he used that emulate the crashing. The real mechanics behind why this work require understanding of actions computers do on processes. Two of them are terminate and kill. This was run on Linux, because Linux gives you third party applications that allowed me to kill more quickly, and windows generally has a harder time executing kill, even through task manager.
