    holy crap the idea of throwing lava at a piglin is genius, And here I am mentally preparing myself to always fight 50 piglins at the same time whenever I raid a bastion.

    • @TheMineMentor
      @TheMineMentor  5 місяців тому +37

      I know! Fighting piglin brutes is super difficult, but with lava it’s super easy😄

    • @christopherwinkler3658
      @christopherwinkler3658 4 місяці тому +9

      I often let them fall deeper or i just block the way between me and them.
      Funfact i dont have to fight against them ... on Badrock you could just use the easy mode and they wont even spawn 😂

      @@nooneofinterest234
      If you still want to fight against them ... the easier ways could be ->
      1. Block the ways between them and you and you can attack them from 1x1 hole out near chests if you open them.
      2. Use the Lava Bucket and some blocks but be carefull of the shooting ones.
      3.just kill them out of ther sightfield with a bow or the crossbow but still be carefull if they have paths to reach you.
      Defensiv
      -> if they hunt you run away and tower your self up 2 blocks or 3 and attack them from there.
      Piglin Brutes -> very strong but they have not really a brain 😅

      @@TheMineMentor A good tip I like to use is to bring a ender chest into the treasure room bastion, and set it down next to the chest with the netherite upgrade in it so you don't have to worry about losing it on the way back. (And of course place another ender chest in your base so you can get the items inside when you get back safely) otherwise great video✌👽

      @@TheMineMentor it's legitimately well made and it is a pleasant surprise to see.
      I just have to get up off my lazy butt and go to my computer and stomp some rear in order to get some full another kit for the survival world that I've been playing since 2017.
      I have an absolutely massive sheep farm with a couple of mods that are very simple, basically one of them allows me to turn wool into string. Which I think is nonsense that in the vanilla game you can put four string in a crafting table and create wool but not the other way around which I believe is crazy.
      So besides that and a backpack mod, and some others, I will be able to take a lot of wool and a lot of wooden planks. Hell, you know what I can do? I can use the wood from the Nether forests and I can just have a whole backpack full of wool, then I can get as much wood as I want from the nether and I won't even have to worry about it.
      I cannot play without modded, the vanilla games never the same without it.
      But you're so good at what you do You make it even seem fun for me.

      i would normally agree but minecraft has been out so long as well as netherite only new players would need to watch this and hardly any new players join. at least not enough to matter. that and there are so so many of the same or similar videos. basically he's not larger because he's not original. sad but harsh truth. if you arent original and are in a community that does nothing but copy each other with a few exceptions you are not going to be noticed all that much.

    • @TheMineMentor

      I do think that most youtubers make Minecraft tutorials the same and that I tried to approach it in a fresh and different way. Seeing the amount of views and positive comments this video gets for a small channel like mine speaks for itself. The reason I think I’m still a small channel is because I upload very, very few.

    • @TheMineMentor
      @TheMineMentor  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes, but emerald itself is found anywhere. Ancient debris not.

    • @danny-d0rito
      @danny-d0rito 4 місяці тому

      @@TheMineMentor ok I'm about to get all weird and technical.
      emerald ore itself spawns much less if at all in places besides different mountain and hill biomes. deepslate emerald is the very rare case where emerald spawns far deeper then normal, usually in jagged peaks because of how tall they are confusing the game. and netherite may be very hard to get, but you could make 4 full netherite beacons easily before having a stack of deepslate emerald ore. and...don't ask HOW I know this.
      very good video however! I know a lot about minecraft, but not the rarities of the smithing templates and the 100% chance in treasure bastions. very informative, thank you.

    • @TheMineMentor
      @TheMineMentor  4 місяці тому

      You’re totally right! But my line in the intro wasn’t meant to be technical, I just wanted affirm that ancient debris is the rarest ore to be found. Even though deepslate emerald is much more rare, the stone itself, emerald, is not. But that would have been too much of an explanation in the intro. I think you get the point ;) but thank you very much! And thanks for your feedback! Very much appreciated!

    That’s a colossal waste of TNT. Dig your tunnel and place them 16 blocks apart, then blow them up one at a time. This clears out all netherite blocks but not all blackstone.
    I also travel in the ceiling of the nether. Very little lava. Easy access into the different biomes by dropping down, then pillaring up. Great for building ice roads.

    When raiding a bastion, try to block off the brutes first.
    Then when you find any chest break the block under it and place a hopper.
    It will empty the contents without opening the chest and won't aggro the mobs. 😉👍🏼

    really good video, one tip I have for the bed method is instead of using this slab method, you can just mine both layers, place a bed on the floor and place a block between you and the bed. If you use the bed over the top of the block, you will take minimal damage as well. This is easier to do since you don't need slabs and can just use netherrack you pick up.

    Another tip for raiding a bastion is staying in the walls/floors using a trapdoor to enter a 1x1 hole. This method works great at right above lava level. fill in any open blocks above or below you as you go. can bridge over the lava as you create a tunnel to protect you from the mobs to the center chests or come in from underneath once you located the gold blocks. Ladders help with this later method.

    A tip if you have an iron farm is to use stacks of empty buckets to grab lava. If you get a few obtrusive lava sources in your tunnel this is the way to clear them in seconds. And since you have an iron farm you can opt to just chuck the bucket. You could use it for other purposes, but since the buckets don't stack once filled this will quickly take a lot of inventory slots. I sometimes fill a few shulker boxes while at it, but often I just throw them and let them despawn.

    • @TheMineMentor
      @TheMineMentor  5 місяців тому

      When it’s just one lava source block, you can just place any block to make it disappear. But when it’s a lot of lava, this would really work better! Thanks for the tip!

    the best option imo is to do digging. with bed bombing youll usually be breaking down your armor faster and have a good chance you might get set on fire a bunch. i found that digging with a really fast pickaxe with ab efficency buff abd digging 3x3 block tunnels is the best . you can do 2x2 but you be suprised how many times theres netherite above you
    Didnt know about the chunk border thing for bedrock so tyvm

  • @aimbreak1461
    @aimbreak1461 2 місяці тому +1

    Well in the 1.21 modpack I’m playing I need a lot more for each piece because you can upgrade netherite to iron->gold->emerald->diamond netherite
    And for each time you upgrade your gear you need another level so another netherite since you can’t just upgrade to diamond you need to do it the sequence iron and so on. So to get max gear + sword and pickaxe you need 30 netherite ingots or 120 ancient debris. I managed to make my pants iron netherite and my sword and my chestplate diamond netherite wich took me long enough 😅

    I use another method but it requires a resource pack (not x-ray obv) that turns lava and water to colourless. then u can dive into the lava pools with fire res and ender pearls (to move quickly) and there are TONS OF ANCIENT DEBRIS on the lava surface. no need to mine actually
    If the ancient debris is hard to see for your eyes u may use some resource pack to make the debris colour contrasting
