debated putting this in the video, because most of it is swimming, and its not a very interesting way to get bedrock. But I thought it was cool and not many people know of this bug. Also the dispencer behind the fountain was placed by an enderman, which have random blocks in this version, so I didn't have to mine a dispencer myself.

Because I have gotten this question a lot, there were a few times where I used a trick called 0 tick crafting, where the tickrate is set to 0, meaning the game is paused, but I can still have a crafting or chest gui open. Since the game is paused when I loot the chest, it is cut out of the video, along with all of the loading times. Mainly this was used at 0:47 to instantly craft all of the dyes, and 2:14 to instantly loot the chest

for full stack of any blocks: you can spawn right next to a taiga normal house with a chest, then open the chest and get 16 logs and craft it into 64 wood planks, it might be as fast as touch grass%

I love the fun little extra bits of tas fuckery you add to these on top of just doing the tas and nothing else.
things like the kelp block instantly getting ticked and destroyed before you're set on fire and the absolutely ludicrous amount of dolphins spawning in one spot every run

for the final tas you could actually do it pretty much instantly. one time my friend had a random end portal and it was because an enderman spawned with one randomly and placed it. so you can get an enderman to spawn holding bedrock

Really nice runs, but I wonder, how do you find such fitting seeds? It felt like you had some really optimized locations for those super abstract goals, do you just randomly go through worlds until you find something good or is there a system behind it?
I use a program called cubiomes, that lets you filter seeds by structures, biomes, etc.

great vid :D ! a small advice is make the 3m long swimming part a timelapse, as it will keep u a better watchtime and because this speedrun doesnt have any "competitive" impact (i respect the skill and time spent tho)

btw when you swim, you should strafe (pressing w and a or d); travel at 10b/s instead of 9.8b/s (w/ dolphin) and 4b/s instead of 3.92b/s (w/o dolphin)
I love how most of movement is relatively normal but GUI navigation is nearly instant. 4 frames spent inside that first chest...
4:25 wouldn't it be faster to jump and throw the pearls right before you hit the ground so your downwards momentum decreases their velocity so they don't go as high and they spend less extra time in the air?
I saw SmallAnt do a Low Advancements speed run, it would be an interesting TAS

I wonder what a TAS of getting a full stack of every block would look like.
Generally, with TASes, timing is from power-on, or opening the program in PC games' case. That is, the first frame where input *can be* made, whether it achieves anything or not - not the first frame where input *is* made. Timing from the first frame input *is* made is usually used for regular speedruns.
I think it’s different for Minecraft because Minecraft tases are just played by me in slow motion, and then sped up to normal speed, rather than being played frame by frame like other games

Tas idea; a furious cocktail. Not quite as extreme as how did we get here but also a good challenge. If I had to guess then the strat for this would be to get a lot of tipped arrows from fletchers lol
you should speedrun the caves and cliffs advancement (fall from the top to the bottom of the world without fall damage)

I would've suggested escaping a dimension, I remember a fun one where I used cobwebs to make a bed to light up a portal dug into an ender crystal pillar. I don't remember what it was but I could probably find another similar one.
Turns out "escaping a dimension" might be a fun dimension to escape, although I can't think of any way to escape it yet, I need sand, string, or iron in order to escape and I haven't found any of those yet.

in the beginning of 1 of every colour u can be faster with the jumps, by keeping the movementum by not hitting ur feet on the blocks
It doesn’t really matter if I need to go up another block afterwards, since it is always gonna take the same amount of time to jump up the blocks
