Our last visit in the Spring of this year was even better as you had brought our attention to aspects of the old town which we had previously missed. We visited the Devil's Bridge and found it fascinating. We very much hope to return in the near future. Your Autumn vibes video was beautiful, I loved the leaves and colours on the Walls of Lucca. Thank you so much for your comment. One reason to do less videos is to really show the city and village from a locals perspective. Lucca and indeed the surrounding area has a unique history, which we think might interest travellers so you can see a hidden Italy that is still very much there. We have some exciting projects but they require a lot of work and we have many other commitments at the moment so need to take it a bit slower. Please stay with and keep watching. The Autumn colours there are beautiful but here in Scotland they just herald the inevitable long cold dark Winter to come. I was out earlier covering my young cordylines in bubble wrap. I think I told you that I had lost the 2 mature plants last winter but they have sprouted again from the bases and it's dropping to -5° for the next few nights (not getting above 1° during the day!🥶). Whatever your new video venture entails, I look forward as ever to watching and remembering the gorgeously hot 2 weeks we had in Benabbio this Summer. Best wishes to you both. X
What a lovely comment , thank you. I am so happy your trees are sprouting again. Nature is a wonder. The fig tree we discussed is indeed looking better now as well. We have rainy days but the bright days between make the difference. Yesterday morning there wasn't a cloud above the house and the mountains had the lightest sprinkling of snow. The rain today will mean snow on the mountains but whether it stays I don't know. The temperature is very up and down. Minus 5 is cold will you have a white Christmas? I think you will enjoy our new adventures, we will try to put up shorts as wells. Love to all the family.

What a lovely, peaceful church. Whatever videos you choose to create, i am sure they will good. I, personally, like shorter format because i find it hard to find a total 1/2 hour to a full hour to watch a video.
Thank you. We are thinking a lot about the format. Certain videos covering a big subject and also involving research require a long format unless we split them into two parts. New recipe videos will also be reformatted. We take your point about shorter videos. The feedback is really helpful.
Not having the pressure of weekly video production will enable you both to take a longer view of it all and as you say, the extra time opens up the scope of what to focus on. I certainly enjoyed the video on olive oil. There are only a few days left of official autumn and here in England winter has also arrived from the north. Heating is on but there's no sun and no wind so quite where the power is coming from ... but that's another, political, matter. I could imagine the smell of the chestnuts as they roasted ...
The temperature in our area has dropped again. The citrus trees are inside and the palms are wrapped. The sun in the middle part of the day if shining is still warm but as soon as the sun goes down the temperature drops dramatically. We hope having a little more time between videos we can make more interesting content. So please keep watching. We might try some shorts in between the longer videos.
Thanks for the update. Some longer videos would be good to watch especially about different crafts and the history of the area and interesting buildings. I hope you still show how to cook your favourite recipes too. It was lovely to see the walls of Lucca quiet and dry, they were busy and wet during Comics! It's dry here in Yorkshire and starting to get colder and the Christmas markets are all happening around us.
