You mention that Lunge, as a skill is bad to spec in. Do you have a tier list of skills? I find that I spend too much time trying to make some skills work, but they could just not offer good returns. Sadly, play time is limited and I don't have time to deep analyze skills so I go to the community.

I would say you should use the lunge helmet (paranoia) that lets you target anywhere and gives you huge cdr. Might make it smoother?
