@@mikos6353 Yeah. It's so unnecessary. I play tennis, so I get that grunting is a thing that naturally comes out. But her sounds are so intentional and it's getting to be a hindrance.
Great to see Giorgi winning. She played well in last year's WTA1000 Montreal last year n thought she is stepping up after that but...Next match will be interesting pitting against Kasatkina, another hardworking but a player seems difficult to overcome opponents that beat her before
Kasatkina is tricky. So we will see. Giorgi only knows how to go for the lines if she can adjust and keep up with the crowd she will win. But we will see.

Congratulations Giorgi on winning this match. I am happy that Giorgi eliminated this annoying screamer. Sabalenka isn't grunting, she is literally screaming. Camilla Giorgi played quite good. She second time in a row defeated Aryna Sabalenka. After losing first set, she won next two in a considerable fashion, by losing only 1 in total. Camilla Giorgi was amazing today. Despite her 11 double faults, she still managed to win this match. Camilla Giorgi excellently absorbed Sabalenka's power and sent it right back at her. Amazing comeback win by Camilla Giorgi. During 2nd and 3rd sets Camilla Giorgi was dominating. Superb performance by Giorgi. She during entire match stayed mentally strong. Next match against Kasatkina will be tougher. I hope that she will defeat Kasatkina too and advance to Quarter-Final.

It's weird because Sabalenka's compatriot Vika is also known for her grunting, but I adore Vika and I don't mind her grunting at all. But Sabalenka's annoys me. Maybe they're different types of grunts, or maybe I'm just biased because I consider Vika a legend.

What a magnificent victory by Giorgi! She even threw in a bagle... against Sabalenka, the hardest hitter on the tour. Good to see her not intimidated by Sabalenka's aggressive shouts and strokes. This girl is underrated... this is a price you pay for being too good looking and having a great body. Lots of spectators are not looking beyond her face and body, and that's a shame! Go deep Camila!
Sabalenka hardly is the hardest hitter. Serena was asked about Sabalenka and she said Davenport, Pierce, Osaka had heavier ground strokes.

Would love to hear some other WTA players really open up about Sabalenka's screaming. I know they are very disciplined as pros and can tune it out, but at some point it has got to really get on their nerves. Excellent job by Giorgi, a great veteran player.

Plays really aggressive, 1st strike tennis but makes shit ton of errors.
Giorgi was the more consistent one here
Sabalenka relies a lot on her power but when her opponents learn how to return her powerful serves she starts committing a lot of unforced errors making her lose matches.
Nope. The winner is smarter in her every decision. She's aggressive, determined, and silent.

I love kasatkina's tennis. and with delightful jabeur already out, it would be great to see a more versatile type of game on the courts right now. that said, I would love to see how far giorgi can go. she's always had talent.

Bravissimo Georgi, Well done. I thought she was an arrogant person at first despite her great game, but i realized she is just reserved and her interview after she won Montreal revealed a very different side about her. So happy to see her raise her game and win and happy to be proven wrong

Sabalenka's plan A is to hit the ball hard. When plan A doesn't work, her plan B is to hit the ball even harder and scream louder. Good thing she lost. She's probably one of the top players with the least amount of variety in her game.

I'll never forget that one weekend in Oregon two years ago where my team mates and I stayed at an airbnb for our USTA regional matches the next days.
So happens Giorgi was on tennis channel every night and kept on winning. We lost but had a good weekend admiring her "athleticism"...

Always admired Giorgi's ball striking ability, as many people said her strokes are as efficient as Andre Agassi's.
From her modest frame, it's like 480hp 1.6 litre 4 cylinder turbo engine you just cannot possibly crank out any more power than that.
Giorgi is one of my favourite players, She seems very focus regardless the match situation, how can someone calm and soo girly can have such an amazing power just amazes me
