Not only did Ostapenko choose to wear the worlds most hideous tennis dress (1970’s Barbie crushed by falling chess board) she chose to hit every ball hard and flat with the same technique irrespective of its height speed or trajectory. She needs a new coach, some sessions with a sports psychologist and most urgently a stylist 😂

Too many errors from Ostapenko settled that final set, great defensive performance from Cornet to hang in there and take advantage of Jelena's errors. That's all most can do vs Ostapenko, as when she's finding her range she is unstoppable, but she often has periods where she doesn't find her range.
Sections of the French Open crowd being idiots as usual, booing and shouting during points, what a way to treat a former Champion.
Yeah some of the crowd is just annoying. Some of them don't know how to behave on a tennis court.

I saw Cornet in Rome against Halep. There were many people from Romania and most of public supported Halep. So i was for Cornet. Though she seemed alone, she fought to the end, never gave up. Ostapenko has great shots, but in a 3 setter physical condition is vital. When you are overweight, it is hard to move if many balls come to your side!
