Hey!
Thanks for all the videos, they have been really good to watch and provide a lot of reassuring stuff about the surgery ❤
I was wondering if your surgery was just the ACL reconstruction, or did you also have any meniscal repair/meniscectomy done?
Thanks!
Thank you!🙏💯
Glad I could help!
My surgery was ACL reconstruction using patellar tendon graft and trimming the meniscus. HOWEVER, I tore ACL and Meniscus and they at first said I might need complete surgery on meniscus as well unless it heals well. Thankfully it healed well and I didn’t need full surgery and reconstruction on meniscus, only a minimal trim🙏
Great to know ty!
Glad it didn't need a second surgery and it worked itself out! Did you have a meniscus tear then, and if so do you know which type of meniscus tear required the trim?@@iamolegsavka
@@allhailzamorak You’re welcome💪
Yes, I had a meniscus tear as well - complex tear. The tear was on the outside layer of meniscus where this is more blood supply than the inside layer so I think that helped it heal better. So I only needed the trim and no surgery.

Good to know, thanks! Best of luck with the recovery :)
@@allhailzamorak Thank you! You as well💪
Any tips for getting shower after surgery?? Plz
I didn’t shower for at least a few days. When I did, I would sit on a stool in the shower and put my surgery leg wrapped in a bag on another stool. (I don’t remember exactly but I think the surgery wound couldn’t get wet for a week or two? or longer?)
I for sure needed family to help with clothing and the brace for sure and getting me in and out of the shower with the crutches.
