This looks badass. Someone needs to do a leaf spring kit for this thing.
NO LEAF SPRINGS LOL.
Just FYI cutting coils off of a spring makes it stiffer or not softer. It's somewhat offset by the fact that you will have less preload but they usually pretty close to cancel each other out depending on the situation
At this scale I like to think it simulates “droop”
Can’t wait for the next vid on the glacier!
Man this another amazing thing you do!!! Take a affordable truck and making it decent enough to be proud of. Maybe it was a lot of work but for some of us work is free especially being disabled veteran. Thank you for all the good advice and good ideas
I Like The Blue One. 🎅👍.
I've had issues with assembling bead lock wheels. I don't have as much experience as you. But then found this on Amazon "RCATM
1.9 2.2 "Bead Lock Wheel Wheel hub mounting Tool is Suitable for Assembling and disassembling".
For me it's simple & a no brainer
I bought my yellow blazer at wild bills !!!
Very cool! Can't wait to see how far it does come from the stock set up👍
That looks BADASS! Get some M2 threaded rod, stainless sleeve, and some M2 rod ends and make your own links, exactly what I'll be doin with mine, works great and Amazon has it all.
One thing i did to have a bit better traction was cut little off the insert foam. That way its sims a deflated tire and it has more surface contact orrrr you can get a set of flubber tire insert from Flub RC
I ended up bolting the hub to the axle first, then putting the wheel halves onto the hub after. You're right the 1" beadlocks are easier to work with.
Well it definitely looks the part now, this is my favourite glacier so far, love you're work 👊🏼🤙🏼🇬🇧
The Stance is worth it!!! Great Job!
There it is ... That's awesome , may have to find one of those . Wasn't planning on it . But that's to cool...! 🤟
Yeaaaaaaaa love how it’s lifted 👍🤙
That looks awesome with them wheels man. Nice 👍🏻
I definitely have to get one of these, I’ve been looking at them but haven’t got one yet thanks for the video on this it turned out awesome.
Looks awesome 👍👍
Yes sir looks great nice bro ✌🏽👊🏾🔥
Looks awesome. I totally agree with you about the Arizona. I'm currently trying to figure out a few ways to change it up.
Awesome looking truck! I bought one a week ago. Thinking on using your up grade. Keep us posted on future upgrades please 😃. Thanks. Had a 1980 short bed years ago. Miss my old Chevy. ✌🏻
That looks awesome! I put black wagon wheels on mine. Had to drill the hub out to the same size as the hole in the factory wheels. Then put the axle nut on nylon first. That makes the hex stick out past the bolts on the wheels so you can get a tool on it easier. I will be buying another glacier to lift like yours. The one I have will get a flatbed and a gooseneck trailer soon.
I used 2 longer screws to mount the reversed beadlocks and cut the lugs on my mudslingers
best upgrade video of these two rc's worth trying Bravo Zulu
This is THE video I was waiting for haha I just got a glazier for a early Xmas gift 🎁 wanting to do some upgrades !
Cool upgrades! Fat Tires look good on Glacier.
I like youre videos you should do a upgrade to the eazy rc patriot
Yeah I like it, I have the same rims and tires , Except my Rims are silver. Appreciate you sharing I’ll have to look and see what kind of spacers I have I’ll be following for more
Looks great. I gotta get one
Top! Well done!!!
Looks great, I made a custom wood flat bed on mine with some different things from ace hardware. Also put some stacks coming up behind the cab. Looks like a farm truck. Would be bad ass to do this lift tho and throw some big meats on there. Nice work
Nice! Thanks for the “how to” video.
I was thinking of swapping mine to rear leaf springs.
Nice work! I'm in the ATX, you're just up the street 👍🏾
My 1/24 ambush had the same issue with the T wrench. I had to use 2mm nut and lock tite but it worked
Damn it sho' is lookin' good! I bought the same wheels for my 1/18 Gelande ii. I held the wheels together with an unfolded paper clip in the two aligned holes ( or toothpicks) and then removed the rest of the screws. I mounted a set of LGRP Trail King M/T. They look great but I think their too heavy even for the upgraded RC4WD motor & transmission. When I get to a larger object I can hear the gears spin but she won't move. 00
Sweet rigs..nice tries and rims. From v&b speed a new rc community channel ✌
Looks awesome. Just an FYI the new injora trx4m wheel wideners work on the eazyrc and fms trucks and make a huge difference.
I had two batteries in mine, so I guess I have your battery 😂
I couldn't tell if there's enough room, but if you can mount the arm from the servo closer to the pivot it will get you more throw on the steering. If you're after the biggest 1" tires I'm pretty sure the RC4WD Scramblers are the tallest.
Thank you so much. That is exactly what I'm lookin for in my FMS K10
keren banget mobil jeepnya ya semngat terus ya kwan mantap sekali selalu hadir nyimak ya
Nice. Im going to do a body lift. I got the same wheels and reversed them too. Ive got smaller tires though.
I've tried the suspension lift in all sorts of configurations. I can't seem to make it work without either the shocks binding or linkage binding. I've eve added spacers to the linkage and mounted the servo under the frame as opposed to the factory "Over the frame" config. More holes in the frame than swiss cheese now. So next I'm going to put the suspension back to factory and do a body lift. I think you have the right idea!! let me know how it works out for you!! Thanks for this idea!
I subbed this was amazing!! mine is coming soon
nice mod!
If you need a narrow nut driver you can make one from brass tube. Find the next size down from the nut and hammer the nut into it to make the hex shape. If you get the right size brass it will stretch and conform to the nut with a thin wall. I usually glue mine in a wooden handle. They hold up quite well and if they do wear out you just cut the end off and do it again.
Great idea! I might even have some the right size laying around
nice👍
They need to make a fully up graded builders kit.
Those wheels were a pain to get on but it was worth it. I need to lift mine, alot of body rub.
Now you just need to cut all the small lugs off those swampers and theyll be perfect lol
Thank you for sharing a great video with a great car!!! ~~~^_^
the squarebody needs leaf springs
When I bought my Glacier, I was missing the charger and tools pack.
🤘🤘🤘
You can buy a battery from fms for only 6.99. Hopefully you can find it on your local hobby shop.
Quedo muy bonita el unico problema es que las ruedas quedaron chuecas al rodar
The FMS version I have does not have the “extra” or additional holes in the frame to drop the front upper shock mounts to lift it like you were able to use guess I’ll be drilling the chassis lol
I’m the video he drills the holes for front shocks. I have the FMS and did it also.
Lol I live near wild bills 😅....

Mine isnt the best steering geometry. It would take more upgrades than its worth I think to make it perform 100%
The jeep tires look like a Goodyear wrangler m/tr
Hey I just realized that you were in Texas, I have a Rc TikTok with 200k I would love to do a shop tour video… I have four 1/18 trucks from FMS/ Ez Rc.
Hopefully we can work something out!
I have a Toyota one it's red
Hi...thank you for everything you do on the channel, i have learned a lot..but i want to know if you can direct me to where I will find the exact measurements of the TRX4 and Axial 3 chassis, as I want to build it myself because I cant affort to buy me the cars so I have to go to DIY, any advise?
They should have the measurements on the website for the products. I know RC4wd puts it all on the product page for every rig they sell.
that looks much better lifted n bigger tires
What did you use for the spacers in the steering
Could you recommend a longer steering shaft and longer rear axle shaft for this Red FMS K10 (or Glacier)? Maybe a full compatible axle set. I want to make the car wider, with the tires out of the body. Here in Brazil there is no hobbyshop.
Question. Will these bead lock wheels work with an on road tire? Making an enclosed trailer, wheel design is perfect but haven’t seen them used with a standard road/trailer style tire. At least I’m not finding a perfect size tire that would go perfect with the white 6 spokes.
They do not offer a road tire for them. Typically designed for rock crawlers. But being 1/18 or round about you might be able to find a model car tire that would work. These tires are also extremely soft so that the inner beadlock ring can clamp the tire between the wheel. But if you find a tire that’s not as soft that would work you can run the wheel without the inner ring.
I have the Glacier, Patriot and the Triton don't know if I will get the Arizona.
This looks awesome. Also diggin the 18 scale garage...was it easy to make?
That garage is actually 1/10 scale. 4x5 foot made out of scrap wood. Wasn’t too hard to do. Just craft wood from hobby lobby and some old bamboo blinds.
@@RCeveryday awesome 👌
would be nice to see a motor upgrade on this with a better torque
Hey bud nice truck! I'm literally brand new to the RC thing and this will be my first crawler. Any suggestions on where to get a little bit of a better battery for some better run time? Really appreciate any info. Thank you!
Welcome! I like Helios batteries. They make just about every size and shape with every kind of connector.
@@RCeveryday ok good to know! I'm gonna do some googleing now and figure out which one if any could be plug and play. Don't wanna have to soder a new connector on. Not that confident in taking this thing that far apart yet haha
Btw if you want the glazier to be a Chevy all you have to do is take the sticker of the tailgate 😂
How much time does it take to charge I have one but I threw away the Manuel on accident
Any suggestion on a reasonably priced decent high speed RC from Amazon? They all seem to say they are fast but they aren't.
No buddy. I really don’t have much experience with go fast rigs. I usually just do slow rock crawlers.
Rc4wd fr finessing y’all with their prices 💀💀
Longer screws by RANCHO RC liftkits lol
1/2 ton 4x4 would be 6 lug,3/4 ton and 1 ton are 8 lug trucks.
What size are the lug nuts I lost one
How did you the lift ?
Is there anyway you can temporarily make it rwd?
You could pull the front drive shaft off.
What size spacers did you use
I think the steering spacers were 3mm. I have run out so I was scrounging around my parts bins.
Customs took the lipo out
Those smaller trucks seem like a pain to work on.
I'd like to see it tow a 1/18 camper trailer...
I want to do a RC conversion on my 1:18 scale Greenlight Chevy 3500 and pull my 1:18 Airstream Bambi.
Where did you get the spacers for the suspension at?
I get some yeah racing spacer sets online. Has lots of sizes
@@RCeveryday any chance you could provide a part number or link to the spacers? 🥺
@@miguelcandelaria460 These are the assortments i buy. They come in other colors and other size ranges as well. amzn.to/3ppWNg3
@@RCeveryday thank you! 👊
@@RCeveryday The link is for 3mm hole with various thicknesses. 3mm seems to large.
What size is the stock shock hex key?
I think its 1.5mm Cant remember for sure.
@@RCeveryday it is I just had a rounded off hex key
Can I get an Exact link to the wheels and tires?
tires: store.rc4wd.com/mud-slinger-10-scale-tires.html
wheels: store.rc4wd.com/Stamped-Steel-10-Stock-Beadlock-Wheels-White_p_7056.html
Cuanto mide el hexagono de la llanta ?
I believe its 5mm
@@RCeveryday the original is 7mm?
You are correct, they are 7mm, just went and checked. Same as the axial scx24 wheels
@@RCeveryday 😇😷✌👍
666th like...🤘🏽
would be a lot easyer to do a body lift
i keep telling my friends.. don't believe what you read.. & bet batt taken out for SHIPPING VIA AIR
