Picked up one of these trucks for me and my son for Christmas. First new RC rig in a LONG time. We really enjoy it around in the backyard and a little course we built indoors. Thanks for posting!
Alot of guys for the old losi micro crawlers would buy small threaded rod and some tube that fit over it along with the right ball end pieces and they would make there own links, I'd definitely give that a try, all the parts for it should be pretty cheap and easy to put together plus you would have left overs for other projects.

Deadbolt uses the shorter three link, jeep and c-10 use the same long three link. As much as I like the pricepoint of the Eaz RC the FMS versions have a great carry case and 3 wire servos. Makes a big difference with upgrading!
Thanks a lot man! We really need that, together we will find the pieces to improve. The FMS K10 has the same aspect ratio, we can use it for it too. I keep looking for the metal gears. (From Brazil).
Used a bunch of scx24 parts on my cr18 recently. Had to drill out the scx24 ball end to fit the hardware so it can work.
You can use the hot racing links you have to drill the ball ends out with a 5/64 drill and then they fit have sand down the thickness too it’s not a ton of work but it does work
body on better chassis? It was worth a shot tho.

Ahhh someone else sharing my pain! The hardware on the EAZYRC trucks is a problem - I've tried modding my Arizona Jeep with the same problems, nothing out there fits. However, since Roc/Fms/EAZY (all same company) are swamping the market I can only hope spares and upgrades will follow soon.
Have upgrades come out since this post?
That thing looks really cool I’m doing the same thing to mine I did take a panda hobby truck and took the trans and the axels and put them on the glacier truck cause the axels are wider and the panda motor and trans will make it faster I think I’ll put the same tires you did I like the look of those on your truck

Time to buy an scx24
I used scx24 deadbolt plastic links for the front lower on the glacier, may have seen my comment in the glacier forum. With the stock links my front driveshaft would bind when driving and the shorter link fixed the pinion angle. Though I had to bend the end of the links to get them to fit properly. I’m still tinkering with the front end as the steering geometry is slightly off causing the front passenger side to bind slightly when fully compressed, not sure if you’ve experienced the same problem.
I been wanting to get new metal shafts. I would like to do like you are trying. It's hard to fine new parts on a new rig.

I had one of these the other day. Spent half a day on something that didn’t work out.
I was messing with mine trying to fit scx24 wheel spacers under it and it didn't fit the hardware either but I do have shocks for a scx24 on the way and I also have a scx24 that's stock so if it doesn't work the parts are just going to that lol
Say you were to axle swap for something scx24, could you pop the brass fitting out, on the link, and pop the ball end that connects to the frame in place of the brass one? I’m looking to get into one or the other cars and if said is possible I may consider the FMS k10 as a task.
Hey what if you just put scx24 axles on the 1/18 they are about the same size? I put the scx24 esc in my glacier fits under the hood with the battery too

I have one of these trucks also. They just aren't great performers. The value is in the scale body. I would guess the best bet for you would be to build a custom chassis like you do for the rat rods. If you want a better performing truck. Or just leave it as a drivable model. My SCX 24 way out drives this truck but lacks the scale looks, it's a trade off.

Can you put those bogger tires with the factory rims it comes with? If so what size are they
The tires are for 1" wheels, the stock ones might work but the tires it comes with are glued on.
Will scx24 wheel whights or hubs fit on this? thanks
I am not sure, the wheels for scx24 work but the rest is very different
Buy a scx24 hardware kit and the scx24 kinetic double barrel shocks
I busted mine. Transfer case. Emailed seller for parts. Is there any thing i can do. If i have put new running gear i will

Man I havent done any more upgrades to mine. I have seen some people use scx24 axles on them, all the aluminum upgraded ones.
Now you need an scx24 lol. Why not pop out the brass balls and just pop onto the original ball?

The ball just spins in the end of the rod, Im afraid even if it would drill through it would be so thin it would just break. The entire ball end cant be more than 2.5mm
@@RCeveryday sorry I was thinking the ball cup on the shocks to accommodate the appropriate screw size, kinda like the scx10 1st gen design. It was a thought, course I don't have one in front me to look at. Other meg's 18ths might have adaptable links?
Do you anybody that builds an RC fire truck? I saw a UA-cam vid of a Event in Germany that had the most amazing RC Fire Trucks, but can’t find any builders? Do you know any?
I haven’t seen any scale fire trucks outside rod those European 1/14 scale videos either. They do some amazing things over there. Functional pumper trucks and working ladders.
