      2.0 .40 fan here, Who's into accurate statements/commentary, so U know. "Complacent", by Glock, . . . . . "Eeeeeggh", The sound of incorrectness Folks. While the market has BLOWN UP W/Micro 9's, that don't make Glock "complacent !" Also, I'm a stock Guy, 13+1, backed by another mag of 180gr. HST's has Me feeling I'll get home, . . . even from a grocery store in Buffalo on a very terrible day !! Try to contest this, THE Standard by which All others will be judged, it's that much of a benchmark, size, capacity in a "Competent" chambering(da' 23 has My eye Folks.) W/the ease of aftermarket accessories to pluck through in this "package", it's tricky to deny its place in videos like this, it's ALWAYS, an "individual choice" though -B Well.

    In another vid, you described the 19 as a "Goldilocks gun." Good description. Maybe it's because I've been carrying one so long, but I just keep coming back to it. I like my wife's 43 a lot, over my son's Sig p365. Not sure why. I need more side-by-side range time with those so I can figure out what it is about the Sig that doesn't quite thrill me. And I have a 34 that is my winter dog-walking gun, when weather allows me to dress enough to conceal that. But the 19 is my main, go-to gun. And amen to the prepping, by the way.

    this story is also a great example as to why you shouldnt rely on 9mm for self defense. what if you can only get of one or two trigger pulls? remember were not in hollywood, and not every bullet hits it mark, especially in stressful situation. 9mm is a practice round. like the .22 its just a plinking ammo, used to keep your skills sharp. you should utilize a bigger round. i use a 9mm only as a backup weapon to my sidearm, which is NOT a 9mm. im not gonna bet my life on being able to get off 12 rounds. when one will get it done with a higher caliber. at least you got away from the g43. thats more comforting. well done, great video.

    • @milijankovic2272
      @milijankovic2272 2 роки тому +17

      I disagree on your take on why you shouldn't carry a 9mm for self defense. The person who got shot 10 or 11 times was probably shot with full metal jacket rounds not hollow points. I listen to a lot of people like you especially at gun stores who say buying a 40 or a 45 is all you need for that one shot one kill and quiet frankly that is a bunch of horse shit. Good quality 9mm hollow points are very devastating at close ranges and there is a reason why law enforcement and military personnel around the world carry 9mm. I must say you were right about one thing and that is were not in hollywood and not every bullet hits its mark. Adrenaline and fear are a human factor when put in high stress life and death situations that might make you miss your mark no matter what caliber of gun you have.

      @@milijankovic2272 well theres alot of speculation on your part on this, since you have no idea if they were fmj or not. it looks like what we have here is another hardass who just cant play nice with the other kids. just because your preferred caliber is different from someone elses you go whining that your preferred caliber is superior and anyone who dont use that caliber is an intellectual protozoa. why cant the gun world be like the motorcycle world, and just get along. we all like guns, who cares what one guy uses, just be happy that theres another on the right side of the gun grabbing commies that are doing all they can to take them from us... 9mm AND 40 or 45, they want em all.

    • @napalmstickylikeglue
      @napalmstickylikeglue 2 роки тому +6

      Yeah.....no. 9 mm has been proven to be just as effective as 40 and 45. In some cases it's actually more effective because of the numerous advantages 9 mm gives a shooter.
      You are absolutely right that this isn't Hollywood. The majority of people who carry firearms have never been in a firefight. Which means they have no clue what they're accuracy is going to be during a high stress situation. However there are thousands of professionals that will agree having more ammunition is better than having a larger caliber.....one reason being that for that reason. There's no such thing as one shot one kill in a self-defense situation..... Average rounds fired in a self-defense or police shooting are 3 to 6 rounds for one subject. If you're carrying a traditional 45, you're going to be limited to 7 to 10 rounds. So with one shooting, you have to bank on shooting more than half of the rounds in your weapon. Better hope he doesn't have buddies..... Better hope that you have a spare mag or two.
      Furthermore I'm not exactly sure why you jumped down that guy's throat because he corrected your incorrect logic. You're definitely within your rights to have a preference but saying a caliber that is widely used for service and self-defense purposes is insufficient to take down a subject is just ridiculous.... As it's ridiculous to jump down someone's throat because they provided you information that you didn't agree with.

    • @milijankovic2272
      @milijankovic2272 2 роки тому

      @@yetisuncle666It's obvious you can't read between the lines. I never said that a 9mm was my preferred caliber or to be superior to any other caliber for that matter now did I?? You can shoot what ever the hell you want i'm not judging you or anyone else for that matter who shoots a 22, 38 or any other high calibers. Different calibers have different recoil and ballistics so that's why we train with the caliber round that we are going to carry for personal protection. Now let me reiterate i said how we train not how you train. You are a rare flower with a different idea of practice with 22 and 9 and carry a bigger caliber and hope that if you have to defend yourself you hit that person in the right spot and he'll drop with one shot. Let me take a guess here and that is you are someone that carries a high caliber handgun because you are not gonna bet your life on being able to get off 12 rounds with a 9 when one will get it done with a higher caliber so you say??
      Read the comments below from Don Dada and One3B perhaps you can get a better understanding and if not i guess ignorance is bliss.

      Most handgun cartridges are not optimal for one shot stops the only one that comes to mind is .357 Mag and that is not a guarantee. If you want a one shot stop you are into shotgun and rifle cartridges.

    Funky sights, trigger, and grip angle - no way is this “perfection.” Yes, I do own 2, a 42 and Gen 3 19. There are definitely better striker and hammer fired pistols out there these days. I much prefer my Sig P320 X-Compact or even my Sig P365XL over the Glock 19. To me, Glock has more hype and fanboys than any other gun maker. It was a success not because there was anything special about it, but rather slick marketing and promotional gimmicks with federal law enforcement agencies. The fact that the defense department selected the Sig P320 over the Glock 19X says it all.

      Only reason why Sig won because the contract was a $100 million less
