My baby is 2 year old he responds to his name rarely when we say loudly to don't do such things. And he points the toys things water when he want it but he doesn't follow our instructions and he brings his shoes to us to go out.
Play peek a boo to get their attention... Paste stickers to u face n ask them to remove them ..these things makes them to see ur face ... Practice this regularly... Then u can use Name call method
Better spend quality time with ur child at early age that is 6 months or above. Communicate with them by telling story, play and show some activity. They will learn and follow ur responses early. Avoid smartphone in front of ur child. Ur child will also do the same. When he or she is sleeping, u can do normal routine. If they are awake, be patient and don't leave them alone while you are in work. Better postpone work and focus on them early.
I made the mistake for my son. He is not responding and uttering words because of phone addiction. Now I am preventing phone addiction by playing with him showing toys other stuffs he love to play. He is now blabbering on his own. Please don't switch on TV FOR an hour. He won't speak. Better give some activity and spend quality time with him
